My relationship with my husband have gotten better through the therapy sessions as well. She is neutral ground for us and isn't bias towards my husband or I which we appreciate. We focus on our issues (mainly mine) and helped me uncover possible reasons why I feel the way I do or think the way I do. Apparently I have a lot of buried trauma which I need to work on. When we first started we saw her nearly every 2 weeks but now it's about once a month. We have been extremely busy but still want to make the attempt to see her at least monthly. She is very accommodating and understanding of our situation. She is very welcoming. The safe place is in the room which she is always reminds us and I appreciate that. I really appreciate her for not judging me or my husband. She listens to us and addresses the issues. We're both comfortable talking to her. It helps that my husband is open to it and more than willing to continue the sessions with me so long as I need it. America is very supportive of us. The price is quite reasonable for a 90-minute session. She has weekend (Saturday) available which is extremely helpful since my husband and I are busy throughout the week days. There's only really street parking. When it's busy you may have to park further up the street but the walk isn't terrible.

In person, about 2-3 days later. Because it was social anxiety, I knew I wanted to see someone in person. So we met in person. His office is plain and he had the word "believe". It was simple without distractions. I needed this, bc the days that followed were walking into this place of collapsing my thoughts and feelings. Tim's approach is simple and it's realistic. But it is only simple for the very reason: that Tim is extremely passionate about the subject and therefore knows it very well. Therefore going through the sessions you begin to learn concepts and in the process you begin to learn about yourself, your reactions, and how correction is possible. It's realistic / common sensical and when you realize this, you feel hope that change is possible. Hope is important, bc it's the right step to begin rerouting your thoughts, highs / lows and find a balance in life. Tim is passionate about this. Tim as a person is not only knowledgeable and professional, but he is kind and generous. Generous in sharing information- to teach you as much as he knows and he is also generous with his time. There are staff members…read morewho provide drugs to the teens under their care and some teens are there to kick their drug habits. The supervision is inadequate. They advertise gender based care but they mix genders and allow teens to form relationships that negatively impact their therapy. It's such a poor work environment they cannot maintain good therapists and educational personnel. I will be contacting the attorney general to investigate this facility that is a danger to the teens under their care. Find another treatment center for your teen. Preferably, an all-day outpatient center that will allow you to have increased awareness and transparency of your teens progress. Residential treatment centers like this one can do more harm than good to your teen.
