My partner and I have very busy lives and needed help working on our relationship. We had reached a stagnant point. Couples therapy is its own magical type of therapy and Dr. Panvini helps us have AHA moments since day 1. From inception, Loreli has been angel. She's the office manager that greets us with kindness and a beautiful smile and genuine "how are you". I feel blessed to have found this amazing practice and Dr. Panvini specifically.

Havening techniques and other techniques have helped me (someone who defaults to over-intellectualizing) get out of my head and into my body which I've found is imperative for healing emotional trauma. With all that said I'm really here to share my experience with the Neurofeedback training done with Rebecca Turner. Having done so much healing and reprocessing through talk therapy, I still felt that my thought patterns were like a hose turned all the way up, whipping around, unable to catch, and control, soaking everyone around me. The initial brain mapping (which is done first to know what areas of the brain to target for training) reflected with tangible data what I was experiencing inside. Ms. Turner described it to me like "your two hemispheres are yelling at each other" which turned out to be one of the most validating things my brain has ever heard about itself. The neurofeedback training process itself is not as complicated and/or intimidating as the name sounds. If one is doing eyes open training, you essentially attach some small sensors to your head using a conductive goop and watch a tv show while the screen brightens and dims in response to the information collected by the sensors and neurofeedback program. For "eyes closed" training, you listen to lyric-less music while the music adjusts the volume to help train your brain. And it all works. I feel good about myself. Shame is now a passing emotion instead of a state of being. Rumination is down ten-fold as my hemispheres aren't "yelling at each other". My thoughts and feelings don't control me as much and/or send my on a downward spiral. If you are someone who feels your emotions are often become too much for you to handle that even standard therapy couldn't alone help, might I suggest neurofeedback?

I started with her for her life coaching after I read her amazing and inspiring books It's Never Too Late to Be Yourself and The Manna Paradigm Shift. She should be on ALL THE TALK SHOWS!! She also has an established legacy as a freedom fighter, and her evolution and work only continues to grow. She is a wonderful example of how to listen to yourself. She wasted no time getting to the heart of things to help me for the life coaching sessions. We ended up going back to some things that were snagging me up before moving forward, even doing a past life regression session to clear things out. In short, she has all the skills, but the most important thing for me has been her inclusive spirituality at the center of her work. It just helps clear things more effectively to make more space for joy and manifesting. She's the real deal. If you are thinking of a life coach, she's the best of the best.

But life circumstances eventually led me to Jacqui, and now I'm actually grateful for the hardships that brought me to her. She's different from any therapist I've ever worked with. Jacqui really helps you dig deeper and look at things in a more honest, meaningful way. She doesn't just tell you what you want to hear or coddle you, because that wouldn't actually help you grow. Instead, she challenges you in a supportive and thoughtful way that pushes you to understand yourself better. I had never heard of ART before and was honestly skeptical, but I was desperate and willing to try anything. Hands down, it's one of the most valuable techniques she has in her vast arsenal of tools to help her patients. Her guidance on how to manage my anxiety in between sessions is something I will carry with me for life. Working with her has been a truly valuable experience, and I'm incredibly grateful to have found her.If you're struggling with something, I really encourage you to reach out and see her. It will change your life. It certainly changed mine.

I came to Jacqui to heal my trauma, and I'm now more traumatized when leaving at the 2nd ART…read moresession due to a racist comment by Jacqui. The first ART session with Jacqui was about 2 hours, and no specific issues occurred. The 2nd session was a week later. About 30 minutes in, she noticed the ART didn't work as she expected, and her comment about the failure was due to my "language barrier," which I strongly disagree with. Even English is not my first language, I passed 2 most difficult bar exams in the States, and I've been practicing law for the past 12 years in California. Jacqui's instructions are nothing compared to the judges' instructions I have to follow for my work. Jacqui's instruction was basically "imagine your emotions being washed away by a waterfall," something simple and similar to this. However, she told me not only once during this session that the failure is because of the language barrier. She made me feel absolutely terrible, and I had to cut short the session. Eventually, Jacqui admitted that ART doesn't work for everyone but emphasized again my language barrier. We are all vulnerable already when seeking help from a therapist. Now Jacqui makes me feel even worse as this ART doesn't work mainly because of my "language barrier." If Jacqui evaluated that my language barrier is a concern or issue for this ART, she should've noticed it at the first consultation and stopped it, rather than continuing scheduling and charging me $180 per hour for the following sessions.

First to review! In this day and age where there is still stigma when talking about self-help…read moreissues, it is great when people could seek help from someone who makes you feel at ease, and takes their time to get to know you while helping you. This was all gathered from my first impression with Ms. Chan when the child of my close friend had their first visit. It wasn't until the follow-up visits that I saw the consistency in her care that I decided to write this review, cos when it comes to wellness you do not want to recommend the wrong people to others. A great plus is that the grandparent was able to come along for the next visit and understood what was going on with their grandchild cos Ms. Chan aside from English also speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and surprisingly Chiu Chow too! Aside from mental health, during my waits I noticed Ms. Chan also provides services for education as well, from advocacy to assessments. The visits so far have been great, my friend's child is in a comfort zone with Ms. Chan and is helping my friend better understand her child's case on hand. However it's not just toddlers or teens only, I've seen families and couples visit too!

A close friend of mine had suggested I meet with a therapist to alleviate my worries. At first, I was hesitant of the idea as it's often uncomfortable to tell a stranger your personal thoughts and feelings about your life, but all the uncertainty disappeared after my initial telehealth session with Dr. Chan. Dr. Chan was not only caring and knowledgeable, but she gave very thoughtful feedback and suggestions on how to implement little practices into my daily routines and tasks that were triggering my anxiety. With a very relaxed demeanor, our sessions felt more like a friend just being there for me through these hard times. The conversations just flowed naturally, and Dr. Chan remembered every little detail I mentioned as if she had known me a long time. With just a few sessions, I feel a lot more calm with her advice. I'm viewing the obstacles that life throws at us as opportunities to grow instead of fearing them. The idea of therapy sessions initially seemed scary, but I highly recommend anyone that had similar hesitations to meet with Dr. Chan, as I had a very uplifting and positive experience.
