National Marine Sales has new owners, and let me just say -- they're some of the friendliest people…read moreyou'll meet. The owner even joked that since I live on the Illinois River, he's got so many boats he could probably just give me one. (Still thinking about taking him up on that offer lol) We've rented pontoons here on a couple of occasions, and the prices are fair for the great time you get on the water. The river itself makes for quite an adventure -- you can travel a couple miles each way without worry. One side ends at the dam, the other side gets pretty shallow, but there's still plenty of space to relax, cruise, or crank down the throttle. Pro tip: beware of the flying Asian carp! They don't just jump -- they launch themselves at your boat like they've got a personal vendetta. It's basically free entertainment while you're cruising. If you're looking for a mix of friendly service, fair boat rental prices, and a river ride with a side of comedy (thanks to the carp), National Marine Sales is the spot!

Signed a contract to have them help me sell my boat in exchange for a 10% commission. Not only did…read morethey not help me.. they made it harder for me to sell it. It was never advertised. I had one person call there who was told they didn't have boat there matching the description.. when I found someone interested they were sent pictures of a very dirty boat. The interested party drove from Tennessee and were told my the Marina that they wouldn't be able to take them on a water test (these were first time boaters and the contract states that this would be done). I was told I wouldn't even have to be there! The morning of I got a call and was asked if I'm available to come to the Marina. Luckily I have a friend who was willing to come down and take them out on the water and basically "sell" it for me. Couldn't believe how I was treated by Bradley. Very frustrating and would not recommend!!

Because of how they treated me with those repairs, I knew that next time I purchased a boat it would be from them, and I was not disappointed. I just purchased a new Lowe Stinger 175c. Andy was thorough in explaining the model differences and the variations that were available. They didn't try to upsell anything at all. Deb had all the paperwork set out ready to go in advance and they made the process as quick and easy as possible. They are consummate professionals and have a customer for life in us. They responded to calls very quickly even when I came in twice before buying! They treat you with respect and are genuinely dedicated to making sure you enjoy your time on the water. Thanks East side Marine for an amazing experience.

I bought a used boat from Eastside. The motor had no more than 30 hours run time. Prior to agreeing…read moreto purchase, the boat needed a new starter which they installed. I took it on the water 5x last summer. In the last outing I had trouble with the starter. Took them over 4 months to get a new one due to supply issues (fine). When installing they find the mechanic who installed the first one, broke the thread mold on the power head casing and used epoxy to hold it in. They ordered a used power head and changed everything over. Don't know the run hours. In the course of connecting powerhead to lower unit they left out 2 bolts and one fell out. Also, broke the cowling at every screw point on the case - claimed it was already that way. Sloppiest workmanship I have ever seen! Don't take your boat there for repair! No accountability at all.
