If you don't to be robbed of your money please don't use this company! My husband's car was disabled on the side of the road 4 miles from home and this guy (Karin) tried to charge him $432. Of course, he didn't get the price until he had made it home. My husband called and complain to the owner (Karin) and he went down to $375 and my husband went on to tell him he was going to report him so he went down to $320 which is still too much for 4 miles. SCAM - BEWARE. My son's tire blew and we needed to tow the car from North Eldridge to Discount Tires (4miles). They arrived and when I asked for a price, the driver was very shady and said he could not discuss prices as he was only the driver. We went ahead. Just as we turned into Discount Tires, we got a txt with a bill for $688. We refused, they would not offload the car. When threatened to get police involved they eventually agreed $250. To add insult they added a tip of $37.50. It was late at night, a woman and 18 year old on their own - they took terrible advantage - we paid. BMW was quoting $150, we should have waited for them. CUSTOMERS BEWARE! Do NOT use this company! I was charged $475 for a tow that was less than 20 miles. Not to mention, there was an additional 15% tip added on top of that (which I didn't pay). Complete rip off! Once the tow was completed, I attempted to call the company multiple times to get a breakdown of the costs. My receipt only showed a towing fee of $475. Not only was it difficult to get through, I had to speak to 3 different people at varying times of the day. My son Called to have hisccar towed and was quoted $110. He asked if they accepted credit cards and they informed him that they did. When they arrived at his apartment He was then told it would cost $175 and they didn't accept cards. According to them, he got upset and cursed. Without a car, He had absolutely no way to get to an ATM. They took his car and only told him it would be in Area 5. I attempted to call them three minutes into their interaction and talked to a young man. He informed me that my sons behavior caused them to deny accepting his card, which was actually my card. We talked, he asked if I had cash app and I told him I did. He informed he that he'd have the driver turn around and drop the car off. I thanked him and awaited his confirmation call. When he called back, he said the price had gone up again, this time to $250.00 Luckily we don't need the car. The engine had gone out 3 hours earlier. So, to avoid being taken advantage of, during a Pandemic, by business owners clearly taking advantage of people, we opted to not pay the 250.00 and chalk it up as a loss. Some folks can't do that. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.I was never told a price until my car was on the guys truck and when I argued with why it cost $621 to tow it only 5 miles, the guy then threatened to keep my car on his truck. Never in my life have I been cheated like I did with Budget Towing. My small car was no problem and the distance was about 18 miles. This comes to about $175 max by Houston towing standards. I was charged $640!!!!! SIX HUNDRED AND FORTY DOLLARS!!!!!!!! I had no alternative than to pay since they had my car chained to their truck. NEVER use this company!!! Cheaters of the highest degree. The man who crashed my car called them, so I thought it was part of the insurance but I was wrong. There was nothing unusual or difficult about the tow. I called to get a tow and was given a price of $150 and estimate of 45 min to an hour to pick up a tow and bring it to my property. 4 hours later the driver shows up at my property, without calling me as I was told they would do when they picked up the tow. The driver then refused to drop the tow until he got $270 (over double the price agreed on!) and when I balked at the price increased attempted to leave with the tow.
