At 11:00 a.m., an agent called and said the company had sent him a 12-passenger Chevy Express van instead, and that I had to accept it or my reservation would be cancelled. I felt I had no choice but to at least look at the van and try to request a discounted price. The van was old and dirty, and it looked like it had been used in the commission of a crime. It had a strange odor, as if something had decomposed inside, and there were stains on the upholstery that looked like dried blood. It had clearly not been cleaned or vacuumed, and it seemed as if potential evidence from a serious incident could still be present. When I checked the back to see if the seats could be adjusted, a section fell apart, making it look as though a struggle had taken place there. I immediately asked for a refund because there was no way I was going to leave my fingerprints or DNA in that van. It is unbelievable that a rental company can effectively cancel a prepaid reservation, offer such an unacceptable replacement, and derail a trip with nothing more than a simple "sorry."

On 01 March 2022, I received an email from Avis informing me that the rental car that I had…read morepreviously reserved for the following day in Utah (reserved two months prior) was no longer available.  I had already paid $80 toward this vehicle for collision insurance.   That same day I spoke with an Avis Customer Service representative during a recorded Case Conversation and he specifically advised me to reserve and pay for a similar sized and equipped vehicle at any other rental car company, and that Avis would refund me the difference in price.   On 02 March 2022, I was able to purchase a rental agreement with another company, with a total price paid that was $122.86 more.  I was forced to pay this extra price solely because of Avis carelessly giving our reserved vehicle to another customer. After countless email exchanges with Avis Customer Service, and after being repeatedly denied the ability to speak with a representative, I was finally able to get someone on the phone on 29 March.  During my phone conversation I learned that the initial representative had provided me with false information during my initial phone conversation. Further, Avis went out of their way to make customer service process almost non-existent and difficult to reach. Needless to say, I will never use Avis again, and strongly recommend others to use a different company.

Our experience with the 9018 Centreville Rd location was horrible. At first, she rented a Chrysler Pacifica for a couple of days and there was nothing to complain about. Our second car, we had found a pair of socks under the back seat. the third car she rented, a Nissan Sentra, I found a THC pen (seen in the second video below) while I was cleaning out the car for her. The branch told us to stay quiet in turn for a discount. I take 360 videos of every car we get and the employees usually look as well. At some point, she rented a Hyundai Tucson, she initially fell in love with the vehicle and rented it for a month. As it was under her possession, she had caught a flat tire, on the front windshield there was a sticker reading that the tires were due for service. She called me to help her with the spare and in turn, I drove the car back to enterprise as she followed me in her own car. The time we arrived at the location, they switched out the Tucson for a Black Nissan Rogue. She kept the car for 2 weeks and the day we try to renew the car, a white woman told us there was damage to the front bumper that we had caused. The day we received the car, the workers were rushing us because of the time. I was completely shocked to hear this and told the lady, there is no problem if you want to file a claim against her insurance, but I would like to check the cameras to see a clean, non-damaged car. She ran to the back and we waited around 15 minutes until she finally came back to tell us she couldn't give us any information. As I was speaking to her, she was acting bothered by the questions and statements I had for this tough accusation. While we were talking, I kept my utmost respect to this lady, even with the attitude she was giving me. As we were speaking about the damage she asked me, "are you allowed to drive the car yet?" I told her "We're not speaking about if I'm able to drive, we're speaking about damage you are reporting is ours, after you gave us the car without checking it." In turn, she gave my mother a Mazda 3. This Mazda had expired tags (Seen in the first image below.) Two days into the rental, she reported that a "manager" had seen me driving the car, without any evidence or explanation, they told us to return the car. This was very frustrating because I own my own vehicle and my mother rents for personal reasons. I have no business driving the car, I had no hands on that wheel and I would like to see some change. I don't want hush money, I don't want discounts, I want proof and I want this woman to face consequences. As we no longer feel comfortable renting at the location nearest to us, we currently settle our rental needs with Budget and Avis. Thank you for your time! First, I called and scheduled an oil change and emissions on one of our cars. It was scheduled for two days later. Dropped it off, waited about 30-40 min and then done! Best of all they did not try to make me do a bunch of unnecessary things. Paid and I was out. $99 for an all synthetic oil change was very reasonable. Second, I had two flat tires. I had my insurance roadside tow my car down the street here. They called to let me know one could just be repaired but the other one should be replaced. We replaced both tires and got an oil change. Everything was done by the next morning. Prices were reasonable and service impeccable. They picked me up to get the car. Timmy always provides above and beyond customer service and really makes you feel like a valued customer. I have been to so many auto shops in Loudoun County and none were as honest and convenient! I'm so glad we found a reliable place nearby with such excellent service!

Unfortunately, that peace of mind was not delivered. Because the vehicle was purchased in Virginia, I was later told that Insider Auto #2 could not handle the Maryland inspection, and that I would need to take care of it myself. When I attempted the Maryland state inspection, the van failed due to a Check Engine light, with multiple diagnostic codes, on a vehicle with less than 30 days since purchase. When I escalated the issue and spoke directly with Guillermo (manager), the response was essentially that "these things happen" and that I would have to deal with it on my own. This is not what most buyers expect when purchasing a vehicle from a licensed dealer--especially a work vehicle like a Ford Transit. Yes, it's a used vehicle, but buying from a dealer should come with accountability and post-sale support, particularly when problems appear immediately after purchase and prevent inspection and registration. I'm leaving this review to be transparent with future buyers: If you're considering Insider Auto #2 and any of its affiliates, make sure you clearly understand what support (if any) you'll receive after the sale, especially if you are registering the vehicle out of state. I was able to take the 2016 Jeep Wrangler out for a test drive without anyone else in it except for myself. I had time to completely look it over inside, out and under. I had worked financing before I got there, so the entire process once I decided on the vehicle for sure only took about 35 minutes.
