WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Booked a car online , the nearest available car was at this location. I reserved it, had a confirmation number and printed out the receipt of reservation. I was leaving downtown Pittsburgh at 4:30pm, with a reservation at 5pm. Since my GPS said it was 23 mins away, I called to make sure that they would be there till 5:30 as posted online since it was rush hour and I had to take a cab to this business. The guy heavily sighed, but assured me they'd be there. At 5pm I tried calling from the cab to double confirm they knew I was coming. No answer , I repeatedly called until my arrival at 5:20pm where I found the entrance locked. I knocked on the door and could see someone looking at me but they ignored me. So now, I'm out $30 for the cab ride there, and no car. Stranded in the middle of no where. I called the number on the door and spoke to somebody who transferred me to a supervisor with customer service. They apologized for the inconvenience and told me they would transfer my reservation to the Airport, reimburse my cab fare there, and honor the original price I booked the first car for. So I have to call another cab, and pay $60 to get to the airport. I arrive at the airport to find a man named Rich very grumpily working the counter. I tell him my story and he looks up my name, and sees it in the system. however, he claims my confirmation number wasn't real and no one informed him of the change. He then gets annoyed and tells me the first business that closed early was a franchise and it wasn't his problem since he was a corporate location. I asked him to call someone, to which he at first refuses. Then he agrees to call his "boss". He then shows me the screen and shows that the same reservation at his location would be over $600 and he doesn't want to honor the reservation transfer (that he still insisted he couldn't find) He then tells me he could do a managers special and get me something for $300 , but wouldn't reimburse the cab fares or difference, like I was told by customer service, the main reason I went to the airport in the first place. The man at the counter with a growing attitude and frustration that he had to deal with "other people's problems" then said my card wasn't working. So he couldn't help me, I said no problem and pulled out my Mastercard and said fine put it on this card. We go thru the whole process again, where again he is annoyed he has to punch everything in yet again and grumbles over how they're losing money on this. Then he types a few keys and said, nope this card isn't working. He never even tried the card. He throws his hands up in the air and says, there's nothing more I can do. I called my credit card company and they informed me in fact my card was valid with a 5k limit and nobody even tried to run it at the counter. So the man left me and my girlfriend stranded at the airport, with no car, no interest in calling customer service and didn't care the only reason we were there because the customer support told me to go there. So now it's almost 3 hours past my initial reservation time. I'm out $30 for the cab ride to the location that closed early, $60 for the ride to the airport, and stranded miles from home with no car that we desperately needed for the week. So it cost us another $70 for a ride home. So I'm now $160 out, sent on a wild goose chase for a $236 reservation with no car and we have to cancel our weekend plans due to no one in your company wanting to do their job the right way. read more
