I swear I am not always on a budget. Anyway, I had to make a last minute roadtrip to the US to meet a friend who was backpacking and we got a room here for a night. For the amount I paid for the room - $120 - it wasn't really worth all that much. More like $60.
The Location: Tonawanda. A 20 minute drive from Niagara falls and Casino via a $1 toll route. Not a bad location; one of the safer neighbourhoods or so it seemed. And good places to eat nearby. Surprisingly... a ton of options!
Appearance: Looks like Bates Motel. Haha. But seriously, this place looks a tad haunted.
Parking: FREE! A good amount of space.
Wifi: FREE! But snail-pace slow. And connecting is an issue most of the time.
Service: Friendly Indian family owns this place. They were nice.
The Room: Small, 2 Queen Beds (not as comfortable as it sounds), 1 tv, musky smell. Small-ish bathroom. Unpowerful flush. Dirty cracks.
I would stay here again... for like $30 or $40... fine... maybe $60. Nothing more. read more
