The accommodations are kept clean, and the king size bed was firm and comfortable. Every morning they serve a good hearty "breakfast-in-bed" delivered to your room at whatever time you choose the night before. Between 7am to 10am. The hotel is very close to the overcrowded Clifton Hill area which is home to an amusement park atmosphere. The hotel is also within good walking distance to the Falls, about a 20 -30 minutes walk along the promenade on the Niagara River. However, it's quiet at the hotel at all hours thankfully. Sterling Inn appears to be one of the better hotel options in the immediate touristy area. *There is a AG Restaurant on premises , as well as Spa for your pleasure.* Thank you for reading. There is a restaurant below the inn which was fabulous. Staff were welcoming and warm. Being from out of the country I had numerous questions while I was there and the staff I met were patient and helpful. The room was modern, clean, and neat. I rarely heard any of my neighbors or outside noise. The bed was comfy, water pressure in the shower was good, and the AC worked properly. Breakfast in bed is delivered each morning if you request it. It was a lot of food for me so I opted out the rest of my trip.

We arrived to the hotel at around 8 PM and I can't say that I was terribly impressed with the way that it looked on the outside. We proceeded into the registration room which has you call the host. You see, he and his family presumably live in the areas of this building you can't go to. After a couple of rings he picked up and made his way to check us in. From that point on checkin was a breeze and he ended up being quite nice. Breakfast was included in the room here and he pointed it out and told us to help ourselves if the door was open in the morning. It wasn't anything crazy but had some juices, cereal and bagels. Whenever my father and I made it to our 2 double bed room, I have to say that I was impressed. While it didn't look great on the outside, the inside looked decent and like it had been recently remodeled. The only exception to this was the bathroom which was pretty tiny, but thankfully I spent very little time in there. Our beds here ended up being quite comfortable and I slept through the night easily without hearing any other guests. In the morning my dad and I each grabbed a bagel with cream cheese and jelly for breakfast. Since we ended up leaving before anyone was at the front desk, our checkout consisted of dropping a key into a box which was easy. The bottom line for me is that I would stay here again in the future. While you aren't going to confuse it with a luxury hotel, I was happy with our stay here and thought that the room was better than I was expecting.

The parking leaves a bit to be desired but it doesn't matter because once we were inside, we didn't want to leave again. It was such a beautiful stay. I never felt more comfortable in my life. At first I was shocked to see people walking everywhere with robes on. I don't know why but I assumed I would see that more at the pool or even the spa but people were reading books in robes in the lobby, hanging out at the bar etc.. It was really refreshing to see. Once we got in our room we threw on our swimsuits and grabbed our robes. We spend most of our time at the outdoor pool the first day. It was so amazing. I absolutely love the idea of going into warm water when it's cold outside. The contrast in temperatures is so fun. I've been in hot tubs in the winter but an entire heated swimming pool just brought out this child-like joy that I can't explain. I had way too much fun. Then we made our way down to the hot spring. That was my absolute favorite. You can book your time frames in advance as much as you want. There's a 15min limit to each visit which is kind of annoying but understandable. It makes it so everyone can get a chance to enjoy it without overcrowding. There were several couples that didn't follow the rules and just stayed there well beyond the time. They would be there when we got in and still there when we left. That kind of annoyed me that staff doesn't monitor the hot spring to prevent that from happening but it is what it is. We just stuck to the rules and booked so much that a few times we had the whole hot spring to ourselves. It was such a nice experience. It's super close to home for us and we will be back for sure. I'm obsessed.

The public areas inside the main building are spacious and comfortable including a cafeteria with a salad bar. The rooms are small with a bed, recliner, desk, sink and mirror. Showers and facilities are shared. There are both single and double rooms, you can choose your preference when you reserve with your group. During the week. The Sisters rent some of the rooms to Canadian NU students so they don't have to do the border crossing every day. If you go for a weekend retreat, no worries, the students are not there on weekends. . The grounds are across from the Niagara River and the Stella Niagara Preserve, which is a great place to kill an hour or two during nice weather. Walking the trails to the river was probably my favorite part of the weekend. The Sisters have a couple of keys to the chapel on the preserve so if you want to go inside (trust me, you WANT to go inside), make sure you check out a key before you head over. Another little gem is the pottery store. It has extremely limited hours, I believe it was open for 2-3 hours for us on Saturday, but it is not to be missed. One of the Sisters makes pottery and sells it at very low prices. I wish I had known ahead of time so I could have brought some cash. Next time. It's my mother's fault that I'm writing this review. We were on our way back from Fort Niagara to Buffalo, and she spotted this gorgeous structure, and insisted that we walk around it and pretend we were in Europe (basically). Some of the popular buildings in WNY are "less than Stella", but this one is spectacular, I'm surprised that I'd never heard of it before. It reminds me of some of the grand old churches on the East Side of Buffalo, but it's way up where you don't expect it. If you've never seen this complex, and you like grand old religious buildings, I recommend scoping it out.

The hotel is very nice. Rooms are decorated beautifully and bed had great linens. I prefer a firmer bed but still it was comfy. Not quite the typical marriott furniture. I am a lifetime Marriott platinum member and we enjoyed the benefit of their complementary breakfast. You order off the menu (not buffet) and it was delicious. She told us lots about the property and gave us an excellent lunch recommendation too! Once we got into the room, it was perfectly decorated just like the common areas we saw upon entering. The tile inset on the bathroom floor and shower floor looked amazing! The bedding was great, flat, and comfy too. Ergonomics of the room were also designed for ease and comfort! They also have a Cadillac Escalade that they use to provide free rides to guests... Anywhere in the area within 5 miles, typically running until midnight! We were fortunate to grab a couple of rides with Marty, who was very engaging and helpful! He took us to a work reception nearby and told us to call him when we were ready to be picked up, which we did and he promptly came back to get us! Shower pressure and quickness of the hot water was perfect! TV also worked perfectly! We enjoyed our visit so much that we'd return to the area just to stay at this hotel again! Highly recommend staying here when in the area! I average staying in 1.5 Marriott properties weekly and based on the poor and inconsistent service at many of them, I wish the management here would train the others on how to keep a property beautifully clean (this place has been here 7 years and it looks brand new still!) and how to provide great service!

I'm glad this was his first experience, as this is what he has future spas to compare to lol. Check-in was super easy and fast. We were guided to the change rooms. We came on a Thursday afternoon, so it wasn't too busy. I mostly had the change rooms to myself. Inside the lounge is dim, with soft music it's perfectly relaxing. The lounge offers a great selection of teas. Lemon ginger is my favourite, which they had. They also have espresso pods. Of course they have some spa water, which was super refreshing. The main thing that surprised me was the selection of snacks they had! I've never been to a spa where they had basically unlimited snacks in the lounge. They had granola, cookies, brownies, biscottis and more. My bf received a 30 min massage, which focused on one area and I had a 60 min massage. My masseuse was friendly and very knowledgeable. I would have appreciated a deeper pressure on my legs and arms but the duration on these areas, was so short (as requested) I barely thought to even let her know I'd would like her to go deeper. I did let her know in the beginning though, that I do like a firm and deep pressure. Overall, she was just ok. The experience was still relaxing and she did loosen my neck and shoulders, which is what I was there for mainly. I so so appreciate that she used a hot towel to remove the oil on my back and the back of my legs. I love when spas do this. But I wished she had also done this after she worked the front of my legs and arms. There was so much oil on these areas, it would have been nice to have something to wipe it off. I did end up using the shower, since the oil really bothered me. The showers are spacious and I like that there's an area inside the shower to keep your belongings. I love the fact that they use loccetaine products. The scent they use is so nice. They also provide mouth wash, q-tips, cotton pads, hair ties, combs, plastic bags, tampons and a hair dryer. Check the drawers for the hair ties, combs and tampons. I wish I had checked these earlier cuz I really needed a hair tie lol. Oh and they also provide robes, sandals and towels. A wonderful experience from start to end. I think it also helped that the spa wasn't too busy that day. I'm excited to come back and try more services. Maybe even the hydrotherapy!
