Initially, we had carpet in our home when we bought the house back in September of 2025. But before doing the floors, Victor and his team did our kitchen remodel. The brick backsplash in our kitchen turned out exactly the way we envisioned it to look. On top of doing the floor, Victor helped us create our vision of doing a beautiful brick floor that lined up against the fireplace. It transitioned very well to the PVL flooring we choose to do throughout the rest of the house. Throughout the entire projects, Victor provided wonderful customer service. He follows up daily ensuring that we were happy with the work. If any problems occurred, he would fix it and make sure we are happy before moving on to the next process. Finally our latest project with Victor and his team, was rebuilding our shower. It was leaking and needed to be built for the ground up. We had chosen to do a design layout from the 1980's. His team did a marvelous job. We are very pleased with the work and is undergoing another project with them soon remodeling the rest of the house.

After redoing the floor messed up by Rockholt, I saw the difference in quality that was night and day. This guy Johnny took a little longer, but his quality was amazing! He has now done several floors for my family members, and is the best thing to happen to Amarillo. Give this guy a shot his work is flawless!!

DeWald Remodeling:…read more This company has the nicest guys working for them. We had a half remodel of our master bathroom (big bay window removed, shower enlarged with zero entry and a new tub). Once we got into to project, it was discovered the bathroom plumbing under the floor needed to be replaced due to age and being cast iron instead of PVC. The bathroom turned out great! The only reason for giving just 4 stars in my review is because when the plumbing for the sewer was dug up, they placed the dirt on the 'paper' covered floor, which was there for weeks as various stages of the plumbing progressed. Some of the paper was torn and dirt was ground into the grout which try as I might I can't get out. I reached out 3 different times to see if they had any suggestions to get the grout clean and have had no response. Except for not getting a response, I would have given them 5 stars. I would use them again and can recommend DeWald Remodeling. Just Do Not allow them to pile any dirt on your floors! A hint for anyone considering a remodel: Know exactly what you want before you start because add ons can get expensive. This would however be the same with any contractor and I did not deduct anything for this.

I found Rick on yelp, read his reviews and picked him based on similar type of work. Read the negative reviews he had but contacted him anyway. Without knowing or meeting him he immediately set up an appointment to see the job through my tenant. After the site visit he prepared a detailed proposal, which looked like he was familiar with the scope of work I needed. He did this almost contactless with my tenant, which I appreciated in this era of Covid. We reviewed the written proposal over the phone, came to a meeting of the minds really fast. My tenant was moving out in 2 weeks so he agreed to start the work the day they moved. I needed quick turnaround so I could re-rent the property. All the time I was long distance, never meeting him and he completed the work (replaced sill plates) in 3 days.i met Rick 2 days after he finished the work. I was pleasantly surprised, he executed the work exactly as the proposal stated. Prices were very reasonable. Timing was better than I would have expected. Rick Miller, owner of RDM Construction, was very courteous and knowledgeable. Rick dealt with the pricing and estimates himself and came by the project fairly often. He did have a construction manager on site that did a lot of the day to day operation and work. Rick's crew worked hard and seemed very trustworthy. We had some minor issues arise on occasion and Rick attempted to rectify them at minimal cost. Rick is a solid contractor to hire. All-in-all, RDM is a good "bulk" construction company. In other words, from my experience, they seem to do things like foundation work, framing, and stucco very well. Where they lacked a bit on my project was the finite details. PRO's Honest and trustworthy Does well with "bulk" contruction Always answered my calls promptly Lower cost price than the competitors CON's Finished work not always as detailed as it could have been Did not initiate contact regularly Was a bit over the time frame we had agreed to (though to be fair, some of this was weather related.) I think if you are looking for someone honest and reliable, RDM Construction would be a very good choice.
