There is a $50 security deposit fee and you have to provide a debit or credit card. You're not charged if you return the car in perfect condition. I was in a car accident and everything was covered. Overall, I found the rental cost to be quite expensive. I'm glad I went through the experience and learned more about the requirements and fees. However, I wouldn't want to rent a car again unless it was absolutely necessary.

Once she had opportunity while still in the midst of assisting a customer. The rep greeted me and shared she be with me in a moment. I had about a 10-15 minutes of wait time, before she could begin my rental agreement. It was very hot this day (105°) so before walking out to reviewe the vehicle, she informed me of what is considered as damages. As well as confirming current marks were documented. If I noticed anything additional callout and it will be added. She was very helpful, pleasant and excellent service.

When we went to pick up the car they gave us a pickup even though the insurance was for a sedan. They didn't have one at the time. Nothing was mentioned about an out of pocket fee. We had a hard time parking the bigger vehicle so we went back later and asked to swap it out if they had a smaller one in stock and they did. Now they charged us for the difference on the bigger vehicle vs the sedan trying to say we knew about the extra cost and that's not true we would not have taken it we would have gone somewhere else. They will not work with us because they put notes in the system that is not true.

First, by any security measure today, any firm's rep having access to a customer's personal information on their personal device is a huge security risk. ...And "management" allowing such action is a business I would stay away from! Second, according to the terms of the rental contract, there is no provision for the requirement of any additional documentation (i.e. copy of ID) for the servicing store. Note: Simply showing my ID to the delivery driver to confirm my identity would have been acceptable to me, but that is not what they wanted. Accordingly, this store's manager refusing to complete delivery represents a breach of contract -- refusing to provide "goods & services" for which payment had already been made. I then attempted to have the company issue a credit, Despite completing the original transaction online, customer service told me they could not process the credit -- I would have to go through the servicing store. I'm not giving that store my credit card information either! Bottom line, I would stay away from RAC and specifically the Henderson St (Cleburne, TX) store itself!

When I say dirty the previous renter had cheetos, popcorn, a cat, and some place with big wide red straws. The vehicle needed an oil change and the navigation screen froze on me 4 times so I returned the vehicle a day early. Spoke to someone when I pulled in and he reassured me every vehicle is throughly checked out upon returning. Ok as I walk away, he runs up behind me and apologies for the inconveniences of the vehicle because as he started it up the screen froze on him. 4 days later and still no adjustments on my charges. Renting from the airport is a convenience when you're flying into town not when that's the only place to get a mini van from a week before you need it. Years ago Budget had the best kept vehicles and the best customer service, now you get what you get because people are tired or maybe my expectations are too high. She had to call someone on the phone and show them the screen to get help on a PREPAID rental. I figured something would go wrong, so I kept an eye on my credit card. Poof, extra charges showed up. I call the budget number and keep getting cut off and the system hangs up on me. I call the location and it goes to national number since there is only 1 person at location. Finally get customer service number and when I call I am told the coupon wasn't applied to my rental. What? I prepaid with the coupon. How can the coupon be removed after I have already paid? I have rented from Budget before, but this was not fun! It was a good deal on the car, but I shouldn't have to feel the need to watch for extra charges.
