Good product for a good price. Scheduling for installation: Phone call on Saturday, for a Monday 8 am installation. Happy to have it. Since the product was ordered 2 months ago I think I expected a bit more advance planning/contact for an installation date. Ordering plantation shutters. Since I had not ordered them before I wish I had asked for a drawing which was explicit in the design of the shutters. This would have helped to manage my expectations. Installation was efficient and they arrived on time. I tested everything before they left - adjustments had to made & was fixed to working order. read more

I'm not surprised they went out of business. I was supposed to have installers come today and finally finish my project. Did that happen? No. Called corporate and they directed me to the Fresno office only to find out from a lovely woman named Daliah (spelling?) that the Clovis location closed its doors. This project was a headache from the beginning. Salesman Austin was very good at blowing smoke in our faces and promised us the world. We were excited and ordered everything we wanted. Then, a week and a half later, we got a call from him saying he gave us the wrong booklet of fabric and we had to make all our selections over again! This then pushed our install date out even further. I should have cancelled the project then and there but was stupid and continued with them. Austin told us it should take 2-3 weeks from order date to install date. IT TOOK OVER 2 MONTHS! He said he would tell corporate to put a rush on the order since the delay was his fault anyway for giving us the wrong booklet, but there was no way our order was rushed. It took its sweet time and there was nothing we could do. We finally got a call saying our shades were ready to be installed, but when the installers came, we learned that they still did not have our shutter or the shade for our bathroom. Not sure why since these two were the ONLY two that Austin said weren't affected by him giving us the wrong booklet. So we had to wait another week and a half for the installers to come back and finish the project. Eventually they come back to install the shutter...AND IT'S NOT THE ONE WE SAID WE WANTED. We specifically had a conversation with Austin mentioning we wanted a double panel shutter, and they install a single panel one which I specifically mentioned I DID NOT WANT. So here I am today, sitting in the room with this single panel shutter, still in shock that they are out of business and they did not even inform us they would be closing. I literally just talked to the receptionist (Justyne) two days ago because she said the installers were coming back today to install the replacement. What a joke. Makes sense that they kept rushing me for the final payment even though the project wasn't 100% complete. read more

I provided a commercial service repair for Ray D. He texted me. I sent a commercial tech to him and repaired his door. Now he doesn't think he should pay me. He said to me: "I question your work ethics". Excuse me?. I have showed up to every call over the past 15 years. I have provided his with quotes numerous times. Now, he thinks he should be provided a Quote for Commercial Door Service. It doesn't work that way. I will never work with them again. read more

Do your research...I trusted this company BUT they FAILED me. I hired them in October 2022 when I moved in to my house and it's already January 2023 and my blinds are still not done. Lessons learned...DO NOT HIRE BUDGET BLINDS CLOVIS. QUALITY OF WORK is GRADED 0%- Installer DOES NOT check his work if everything is leveled. I have to show it to him! Free Consult: Free, hella quick and it's crap read more

Very disappointed with the complete experience. There was a lot of frustration and wasted time, time we took away from work for them to continually make mistakes and initially try to be dishonest about it. We kept them accountable and finally got the correct product, correctly installed. read more

We got shutters and roller shades for our new home. They quality of the actually window coverings are fine, no issues. They were the best quote we got in town. But OMG their communication is just awful. Once they got our deposit, they stopped replying to text messages and phone calls. It was so bad we actually got to a point where we thought we were being scammed. I wouldn't say to NOT go with them because in the end we did get our product and we're happy with it , but it was like pulling teeth to get updates and our order took 5 MONTHS to complete. Buyer beware. read more

We are very happy with our new shutters and blinds! The blinds were on back order, but staff got back to me in a timely manner regarding updates when I called the office. read more

Blinds are good for the price especially if you are on a budget. I would give zero stars for the service. I'm guessing this is just for the Clovis store. Zero post sale service. There is supposed to be a lifetime warranty but I guess that goes away because "the factory in China changed owners and they won't provide any warranties. I'll have to have them call you to see what they want to do." Why am I dealing with the factory in China? I don't recall seeing their name on my receipt? I guess it doesn't matter because after 6 months I never heard from anyone. Their quick to come out if they think there's a sell but you won't hear back for anything else. Since my blood pressure went up after I wrote this I changed to one star. Buyer beware. read more

If I could leave half of a star I would. When you first call and schedule a consult, they're so responsive and great customer service until they install them and ruin your windows then it's silence. I reached out to my sales rep and he was responding until I sent pictures of the window. I had to call the office and the gentleman that answered sent someone right out but he couldn't fix it so he took pictures and said someone would be in contact. I didn't trust it so I called the office while he was in my home and the gentleman that answered said the same. Once I get the pictures I'll have someone call you. That was last week. Today I called and a woman answered and said someone would call me and nothing. DO NOT BUY YOUR BLINDS FROM THIS PLACE. read more

Love my new shutters! And the customer care that I got was phenomenal! Friendly and affordable!

I tried so hard to give this place my business. As others have stated I got my windows measured a few weeks ago, and since have heard nothing. I've called 3 times to follow up, and I get the same response. They ask my name and number, and tell me the rep will call me back. There's a reason they have horrible reviews here and on google, and there's a reason Z Blinds has awesome reviews. Why waste your time on a company that doesn't care? Blinds aren't cheap, so go somewhere that will respect you and respect your time. read more

We are absolutely thrilled with the shutters we ordered and the service we received. The shutters were installed in the living room, guest room, and on the sliding glass door. I have to give budget blinds one star, but if I had the choice I would give them no stars. I'm a very unsatisfied customer. I moved into my new house in October 2010, ordered blinds and shutters in November. My entire order of my shutters and blinds are still not installed and it's already June 2011. This has to be one of the worst company that I've ever dealt with. I was thrilled at first to learn that the company was a family own and ran company but I was wrong. My representative, Beau was dishonest, manipulative, and irresponsible. He consistently lied to me. Every time I called him there was a different excuse why weren't my blinds here. He blamed the manufacturer and shipping, but all along I was just being lied to because my shutters and blinds weren't ordered. They also had to come out several times to get measurements and finally a couple of weeks ago my last blind arrived and were in the process of being installed, they were the wrong size!!! I would rethink before going with this company. I would never ever do business with them ever again!!! EVER! read more

Rude! Unhelpful! Uncaring! Good customer service isn't difficult, if you care. Clearly this company and the employees responsible for customer service don't care. It's my fault, for not checking them out before I decided to do business with them. I hope you are reading this before you ordered blinds!! Stay clear of Budget Blinds!! read more

What I love about Budget Blinds is the fact that they bring the showroom to you- Austin their consultant is a polite and highly knowledgeable guy. Budget Blinds of Clovis brings a first class experience delivering style and service for every taste and budget. Whether I need shades, shutters, curtains, draperies, or just blinds I can rely on them. Their quality of work is seamless. I highly recommend this company. read more

I ordered mine in July 2020 until now I'm still waiting. You can't even get a hold of anybody in their office it's always the answering service and that they will relay the message to the office. I already paid in full, I understand regarding this covid situation but I need to be updated of the status of my order. Poor service and communication they don't even answer my email. read more

Horrible customer service. I had them come to my home 1/18 to quote a job, and I accepted it. They charged my credit card on the spot the full amount of $12,000 (yes, TWELVE THOUSAND dollars). Yet the job is still incomplete. I understand delays, specially with COVID and custom-made orders. But professional/respectable companies will not charge what they have not delivered. Of the ones installed, one is too small for the window, and three are not flush with the wall, and there is no way I can get them in to fix these issues. I cancelled two small blinds 10 days into the contract; I realize it was not the standard 3-day cancellation. But at the time, the reply was vague enough that I was led to believe we would be getting the credit. We are talking a few hundred dollars from the THOUSANDS charged. There is no way to get a timely and polite response. The salesman passes the buck to some other person in the office. This " buckee" says he does not answer phones because he is busy and is happy sending snappy, rude texts about delivery. I don't care how busy he is; I am a PAYING customer and, thanks to me, he has a job. Answering my phone calls must be his priority. They have been told text messages are not acceptable, but their minds are so empty and useless, they keep texting and will not pick up the darned phone and call. I guess it is because texting is a one-way communication, and they don't have to hear me tell them about their lousy job. We are supposed to happily wait until late March to get something we paid for, in full in mid-January! How I wish I had looked at their reviews before signing the contract with them!!!! Definitely DO NOT recommend this outfit. read more

A brief follow up to my original post. I received a phone call from Costco this morning. They were most apologetic for my negative experience and stated that due to my, and many others, complaints they have completely disassociated themselves from this company. read more

We have had our blinds for 8 years now. They are great quality and for the price, could not be better. We had a few of the plastic clips break a few months ago while moving for painting. This is the second time I've done business with Budget Blinds in Clovis. My house is now complete with beautiful shutters in every room including the garage. I got two quotes from two different companies. Same exact blinds for each quote. Budget Blinds came in at an additional $1000. Quite literally, $1000. I was completely stunned by that, since their name is "budget" blinds. Went with the other company. Budget Blinds customer service isn't even that good, so the extra $1000 is not for some superior service with the same product. Save yourself the hassle. Should change the name to "Expensive as all hell Blinds." read more

Terrible customer service! No call backs, they forgot to submit order, but charged my credit card. No follow up or follow through. Use someone else. read more

This is the most unprofessional company to deal with. They do not deliver on anything and never return calls until you actually call the franchise number than they call and pretend to be concerned. I honestly did not read reviews prior to ordering from them and I wish I could go back. I would of dealt with a more reputable company. They obviously do not care about customer service and their prices are not cheap. Never again. Do your research. I wish we had! read more

Purchased from them in 2014 with no problems so, used them again this year. Selected and paid for Blinds in August. One set was ordered from a different manufacturer and therefor did not arrive at the same time as the others. I was told that set would be received on September 18. To date (October 9th) I have called 4 times to see when the blinds could be installed. Called my salesman once, he said he would check and call me right back....never heard from him again. Since he wont be the one doing the installation, thought I'd have better luck calling the office directly. Have called there 3 times and keep being told they will check on it and call me back. So far, no response. Will not call Budget Blinds again. read more

Buyer be warned: I bought over $2,000.00 worth of blinds and shutters for my Bakersfield home. I was guarantee a lifetime warranty for manufacture defects. Eight years later two of my blinds got warped. I tried over several months to get the slats replaced with the associate. On Feb 16, 2021, RAY D, owner/manger of the Clovis Store on Holland Street was rude and he abruptly hung up on me. He accused me of cursing and lying about the blinds not purchased from Budget Blinds even though he had a copy of my invoice with Budget Blind logo. I sent a customer complaint to the legal team they supported his rude and insensitive behavior. Both Ray and the legal team refused to deal with resolving my issue. Please do not do business with Budget Blind they will not help you resolve future issues with their products and will disappoint you with their horrible customer service. I recommend ordering blinds directly from HD or Levelor. They have excellent customer support. They will replace your damaged slats or blinds for free no questions asked within 7 days. Ordered blinds, shutters and curtain for the whole house Oct. 30, 2012. Blinds were not delivered until Dec. 28, 2012. Still waiting for shutters and curtain. Called beginning of Dec. I had shutters installed through a Costco promotion 1 year ago and actually had a great 1st experience considering they traveled from Clovis to do the job. I realized I missed a small window plus wanted my kitchen door window covered as well about 6 months ago. I've been calling leaving messages with the office and Austin who was my rep to begin with and the owners son, with no response until Weds. I kept calling his cell phone and caught him early He told me Deanna from the business office would call me to schedule an appointment at 11am. Didn't hear from her, so I call the office and reach their answering service at 3pm, I tell the lady how horrible it has been trying to get a call back from these people, so Deanna finally calls me to tell me they no longer service my area. Unbelievable. Is it the truth? I honestly doubt it. I gave my co-worker their info 2 months ago, since she's in the market and she just told me they never responded to her calls either. So here I am letting you know...don't waste your time. read more

I wish I had read the reviews to this company first before becoming the next unsatisfied customer. I worked with Austin throughout this very horrible experience. When my blinds were put in and I inspected every one of them. I found one blind installed upside down, another shutter unable to close, my white blinds ended up not matching my window sill, which I trusted Austin to chose the right white for me, in hindsight I should have chosen the white, now I have to live with the mismatched coloring. After the guys left my house, I found my kids bed frame broken apart, they had the nerve to break it and leave without telling me. The only good that came out of this experience was working with Austins dad who sent a furniture guy to come out and fix it. He ended up forgetting to order some shades and also charged me for a blind that was never ordered. Austin was very unprofessional, when texting he messaged things like "sweet", "your crazy". You don't call a customer crazy. They also ran my credit card unbeknownst to me, without getting my authorization on a charge, which means they kept my credit card # on file, this was upsetting to me. In the end, I was owed some money, I tried at least 5x to contact Austin, his Dad, their secretary. In short, I never got my money back which prompted me to write this. I wish they could've redeemed themselves, but they didn't. read more

This review is for Budget Blinds of Clovis. I would give this company no stars if I could. We ordered blinds in January 2011 and they messed up the valances on the order. It is September and they still haven't fixed the valances! They've misordered them twice (or forgotten to even place an order). The salesperson, Austin, won't even call me back - he forces the receptionist to take my calls. They're really bad. Avoid at all costs. read more

I would use them again. I had an issue and once the owner was made aware of the situation he got everything resolved. Apparently they had a personnel problem and that has been fixed. Well I am not sure whether to give 1 or 3 stars so I averaged with 2. Here's my story: I got Budget Blinds number from Costco (who I will also be contacting - they need to cut their ties with this company!) After a cancelled appointment, on their end, and several calls to try to get a new appointment, Beau finally arrived! What a sweet, energetic young man who had my vote immediately; however, that is where it ended. I ordered (or so I thought) the shutters later that day, gave my credit card number, and put a date on my calendar to check in with them (5 weeks later). When I called to check on the status, oh my that took several calls again, I found out the shutters hadn't even been ordered! So Beau said he would order the shutters (after I had to remind him of my order and who I was) and he would pay for "express." Okay, so I still had to "hound" this young man to get thecontinued status of my order. FINALLY he replies through text that they are in! Installer, GREAT GUY, installs; however, the arched shutter for bedroom is not in - that was October 6, 2016. Here I am writing on November 29, 2016, STILL NO SHUTTER! Oh, and did I mention the shutters are too big and I am unable to open the windows? I was supposed to have been contacted by the office to fix this problem. Hmmmm? I have contacted the office NUMEROUS times (nice girls in the office!) and am told Beau will get back to me. Yeah no! I have sent him texts numerous times - shocker no reply. So what is one to do? Write a YELP REVIEW! Hey maybe they'll see it and attempt to fix the problem or at least call me????? The 1 star is for Beau, I would give the shutters a 3 (due to the fact that I am unable to open the windows now with them on and still missing one) so that averages to a 2. I feel as if no one cares about me, well other than my money. VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED! read more
