Stopped by here after a workout. They have a good variety of creamy ice cream, gluten free, dairy free, and sorbets (also dairy free). Sizes start at 6oz cup, or variety of cones. Claw machine, lots of seating inside and out. They had karaoke going on, then trivia. They are open until 9, but won't kick people out if they are still there. I also saw someone have a cupcake carrier with 6 different scoops to try family style! Really cool. If you're in the area, stop by and check them out!!

Is it even possible to feel even better about eating ice cream? Well, yes it is at Buddy Scoops where they donate a bit of every order to Down Syndrome Awareness. I truly love bringing my family here. The ice cream is excellent (no dyes, no preservatives, no crap at all) but it's also scooped by amazing people that genuinely care about your business. Each visit we've made was also marked by a wonderful experience with the many friends that are always working and socializing with the guests. Indoor and outdoor seating so available, so wherever you choose it pretty chill. The flavors are also delicious. Chase's Chocolate is the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had and it's often recommended by Chase when he's working!

5 stars for how clean everything was during our visit! There was plenty of seating, which made it easy to relax and enjoy. Ryan had their milkshake that combines five flavors in one--Nutter Butter, Oreo, Reese's, cookie dough, and oatmeal cookie. I went with the cookie dough ice cream in a waffle cone, and it was delicious. My son had the kiddie-size Chase's Chocolate, which comes with one topping of your choice--he picked marshmallows. Overall, it was a great experience. We'd definitely come back!

This really isn't like me, but I'm writing this on a Saturday morning and my bride and I have just…read moreagreed that we are heading back to Thunder Road Grill for the third Saturday in a row! You have to understand, that I am a total burger snob. As a reference point, my favorite burger in the Piedmont Triad is Hops Burger Bar in Greensboro, and I'll drive the 20 miles and stand around waiting on a table for 30 minutes, at the first suggestion, no questions asked. Also way up there is/was Big Burger Spot, but they've now slipped into third place since Guy is no longer the owner and overseer and now that I've had the burgers at Thunder Road. First off, they will cook your burger to your desired doneness. For me, that's the minimum standard that a burger joint has to meet, and my medium-rare burgers have been spot-on every time. From there, the buns, the topping, the sides have always been fresh, tasty and again, done to order to meet my picky requests! "Can I get those tots crispy?" "Since I haven't tried it, can you put that sauce on the side?" "Can you cook that bacon crispy but not burnt?" Each request was met with something like a "You bet!" and the execution of the request was perfect. I really like that each table is equipped with a roll of paper towels and several condiments including the local Texas Pete, as well as salt, pepper, and some form of seasoning salt. Often when I see these things on tables in diners they are grimy and the table beneath then is sticky and dirty, but they make an extra effort to keep them clean and well stocked. For example, last week I grabbed the red bottle of Heinz ketchup, expecting that I would need to request a swap with a full bottle, but no, it was totally full! Just like when I was a kid, I love crunchy potato chips on my peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and I like fries with my ketchup! Let's face the facts that one of these days I'm bound to be disappointed in something, but from what I can see from the friendly and attentive staff, it's going to something I can overlook or that they'll be willing to address. Oh, that reminds me about the bathrooms! I often dread entering the men's room in a one-off diner or pub, but I was elated to find a clean and fresh smelling space that was well lit and well supplied. They've won us over. Last Saturday we bought three of our granddaughters, and today will be joined by my sister and brother-in-law, who are also locals and bound to become fans of Thunder Road Grill! As I re-read this before posting it, I wonder, why do I leave good reviews for places that I don't want to see become crowded and popular? Sometimes I question my sanity! Be sure to say howdy to me if we run into each other. And Fred B, I think you need to give them one more try.

I took one of the wooden booths that line the walls and say beneath the car, truck and racing paraphernalia that adorns the walls throughout. The service was fantastic given that I was the only one to care for. I ordered the BLT plate with tater tots and a hot dog. The BLT was served on a toasted bun. The bacon was thick and had just a slight chew to it. Just the right amount of mayo and tomatoes cut to a good thickness. Hot dog was pretty great. They put a real generous amount of mustard *under* the frank then topped with chili and a nice creamy slaw. If the bun had been toasted it would have been darn near perfect. Appreciated the self-serve seasoning salt at each table. Tots were good without but especially good with. Thunder Road Grill was worth the drive and I hope to return!

Everything about this place is absolutely positively amazing! From the overwhelming amount of scrumptious looking pastries that they have to the extremely friendly staff and delicious espresso based coffees this place is spot on and a hidden gym! I ordered the mocha Frappuccino that's made with Ghirardelli dark chocolate powder and I added two shots of espresso to it. Mason, the barista made it perfectly! It has the best blend of flavors and the right amount of coffee boldness. I also got three shakes of cinnamon powder, which is my usual. Brad, who also worked in the Coffee area was also very friendly and helpful. The girl who gave us our pastries was also very sweet and knowledgeable about their pastries. They get most of their sweets from Cheesecakes By Alex a local Winston-Salem and Greensboro shop that I visit very frequently. I got the New York style cheesecake which is always delicious. If you haven't visited cupcake, cuties Café and bakery in Thomasville, you should definitely make it a point to go! It's only about 15 minutes from Winston-Salem and worth the trip! Good job team!

I enjoyed my pumpkin cake and anticipate coming back sometime soon to try another delicious offering among the sheer variety of choices available!

I went inside to see the menu, talk to the barista(s), and figure out what I wanted. It's a cute little shop with colorful cups, shirts, and other things you can purchase with the Biggby logo on it. There isn't a ton of seating, but enough you can sit and rest while you wait on your drink, or chat quickly with a friend. It's definitely not a shop to sit and stay a while. The baristas were so helpful in listening to what I wanted (and knew I liked at other coffee shops) and they rang me up. It was only a minute later and my drink was ready to go! I came back a few times that week and have been by every morning this week. Turns out my favorite drink is called Lissa's Lucious Latte and I prefer mine iced with no whipped cream nor cold foam. They have a rewards card that is free and you can scan it each time or download the app and scan it each visit. It also houses their menu which is extensive. My favorite part is the drive-through. So many smaller-scale coffee shops are walk-in/in-store only, so a drive-through is a huge hit for me being on the go! They also offer daily specials and discounts. Today was Free Shot Friday and being a 2nd Grade teacher and it being the end of the week, I needed all of the caffeine I could get to get my day going! Highly recommend this shop to any coffee lover like myself!
