During my last visit on St. Patrick's day, I understood the place was Packed, we ask for pizza and wings and a couple of beers, we got the beers and the pizza, wings never came, I asked for my bill and the wings were there, so I told her, she removed them, so I though, never got the wings , next thing I know the charge for the pizza and beers came out from my credit card, next thing I know about 3 am, they put it for what I would guess was the wings and more. Call them 3 times but the manager never got back to me, while seating on the bar we did hear about someone having their card ran twice in the past, well, they got me this time. Shame on the business. Have a nice place but you don't need to steal from us!! You loss my business

This bar has a dog-friendly patio. It's listed as one of the top places in CP on the "Bring Fido" website, so I went in to check it out late last Sunday afternoon. I brought my shepherd-collie Zeke and we sat outside against the window. There were no local televised games and the crowd was quiet. My server was very helpful to me. She let me taste two beers I had never tried before and I ended up ordering one of them, a Strawberry wheat beer brewed by Platform brewing out of Cleveland, OH. The other craft beer I had was a Gumballhead brewed by 3Floyds out of Munster, IN. I've had plenty of times while visiting the Region. I enjoyed the beers and the service was good, but I noticed in the hour I was there that more people were coming in to drink. There was one server for the 20 people inside and the ten people outside. That slowed down service for those wanting refills, as the table near me complained about waiting on refills for their water. I told them this was a management issue and not a server issue because the server was hustling. Hope they have more servers on game nights! This is a big place with a large, covered patio that I'm sure deals with a lot of obnoxious Chicago Bears fans. Parking lot is also big and easy to get in and out of. Food is made by Langel's pizza next door that shares an open counter for food orders.

    Watching the Cubs wild card.

You know when you go somewhere and there's like barely enough cheese for half your fries? No worries here, this place has it all figured out. Labels next door makes their food, and everything our party of four got was above par, just enough of everything to make it delicious and awesome. The rum and Coke was great too. I'd come here again because I got great service and the food was perfect, not like some other bar/grills I've been in and around town.

Zero stars, Tuesday bartender can't handle 10 people at bar. Service slow with attitude, won't be back.

When our food arrived, I cut into mine and it was extremely rare--so undercooked that one side of the patty was still pink. My son's burger was cooked correctly, so I know mine clearly wasn't. When our waitress checked on us, I explained the issue, and she politely apologized and took the burger back. A few minutes later, the manager on duty brought the same burger back upstairs, slammed it down, and asked with an attitude, "What is the problem?" I explained that it was undercooked and that I had ordered medium well. She then asked, "What do you want me to do with this?" while just standing there staring at me. After acting irritated, she asked if I wanted a new burger or wanted "this one" recooked. The idea of them recooking a burger I had already cut into and handled felt completely unsanitary. Her attitude throughout the interaction was awful. I declined a replacement, and she huffed that she'd remove it from the bill. Unfortunately, it got even worse. Just minutes later, an earwig crawled out of my friend's salad. We were horrified. We took a picture, caught the bug, and asked another server to get the manager. When she returned, she walked up with her hand on her hip and said, "Now what?" We handed her the napkin with the bug, and instead of apologizing, she opened it right there on the table, let the bug crawl out, scoffed at us, and said, "Fine, I'll take that off the bill too." At that point, my friend was covering her mouth in disgust after realizing she had been eating a salad with a bug in it. Rather than showing concern or professionalism, the manager snapped, "What do you want?! I didn't put the bug in the salad." I have never experienced such unsanitary conditions combined with such shockingly hostile customer service. Mistakes can happen, but the manager's behavior was beyond unacceptable. We left disgusted and will absolutely never return.

I ordered an American staple, a burger with fries. The burger was juicy, well seasoned, and topped with crispy bacon. The bun was soft and held everything together without falling apart. This cute restaurant is located in Crown Point, IN, and it's best to use GPS to avoid getting lost. The venue is nice and perfect for photos, with plenty of space. The bar has a lively atmosphere, and the food is good, with large portions. I ordered the Classic Smashburger and substituted the protein for an Impossible Burger. I expected to receive two patties since I had to pay an additional $4.00. While it's my choice to be a pescatarian, I still think that an extra $4.00 for a single patty is excessive, both here and at any restaurant. This brought the price of my burger from $18.00 to $22.00, which reflects the current costs of dining out. Overall, our server was really nice and accommodating. She was patient with us as we decided on what to order and even shared her favorite dishes, which helped us make our decisions. The others in my party ordered a Mushroom & Swiss Smashburger and a Tuscan Turkey Sandwich. I must say, the turkey sandwich (Shaved Oven Roasted Turkey) had so much turkey on it that it could have fed us for Thanksgiving, but we weren't complaining! It was generous, and she happily took home the leftovers. The drink we had was blah, it had peach deep eddy's, elderflower liqueur (which I love), citrus and a few other ingredients. I'll pass on that the next time, I think it had too much elderflower and not enough peach. We all enjoyed our food and the ambiance of the restaurant. We will definitely return when we are in the area, and I will be sure to recommend this place to my friends who live nearby. I would also consider throwing a small b-day celebration upstairs in the lounge. Thank you, Culinary Misfits, for a great lunch!

I did ask the bartender if she could make a zombie and got a reply of what the heck is that? Still cool. I'll take a beer. It's definitely a locals bar, all good. But if you are walking in solo and not from the area, this isn't the place for you. I tried to ask the bartenders name, something I do so when I go back etc and maybe to have a conversation, they were more interested in getting back to the regulars and chat. I did get it, but it was just a weird exchange. All in all, service was just fine, I got my cold beers timely as I had a few before moshing to another spot, but if I want to sit and drink alone I can do that at the hotel. If you are with a friend go in and party on! I'm really only dinging because the name is misleading. I'm guessing that was the original intention and the area just doesn't want that and so it's a shift. It's all good, just different.
