She not only welcomed us in with open arms, but she made sure that we and my dog, Mojo, were comfortable before she began. She was calm, caring, and genuine throughout the entire appointment and really explained all our options and what she was doing thoroughly. She started with gently feeling his body and assessing it, quickly noticing that his spine was probably causing him some pain. We moved onto acupuncture, where she explained all the points that she was doing and how it would benefit him. She also had some treats readily available to distract him as the needles were going in! After about 7-9 minutes, you can visibly see Mojo just... relax. Completely calm. Not squirming or fidgeting. It was honestly like magic. She was able to do cold laser therapy while the needles were in and then she whipped out KT tape.. Which I didn't even know you could do on animals! As she taped his spine, she gave us instructions on how to help him up the stairs and to lower his pain in his hind legs. She also suggested that we start cooking his meals as well with turkey and some sweet potato. After she taped him up, we carried him out to the car where he immediately took a little nap. While we were in the car, she came out with a lot of medicine for him to take for his nausea, alongside some inflammatory medicine and Chinese herbs. Within a few hours of taking the Cerenia that she gave us, he was able to keep food down (which hadn't happened for about 4 days before this, he was throwing up everything he ate). Not only that, he was able to sleep without any disturbance and seemed incredibly relaxed. Dr. Bertolone treated us with kindness and genuinely cared for him. We will always be indebted and appreciative to her and cannot express the amount of gratitude we have for her. She is undoubtedly one of the best veterinarians that we've ever encountered.

I've been to at least 4 different vets in Los Angeles, and he is the first one that seems to actually care more about the animals than making a huge profit. it has been a year now of faithfully going to dr tran at 9tails and i can say that the service,…read moretreatment, and staff at this clinic are unparalleled. my bullmastiff ended up with a knee injury that had to be seen on emergency at another clinic and my husband wisely said "i want to wait and see dr tran until we make any further decisions." what we got was decades of knowledge and experience that ultimately saved us 10K trying for a surgery he wouldn't have even been a proper candidate for given his weight. the other vet wasn't even aware of that fact when recommending the surgery. the other lovely thing is how dr. tran even gently defended the other vet without even knowing them, saying that it was only after her own personal experiences treating large dogs that she even came upon the knowledge. i found it so heartwarming to see how deeply entrenched she is in her sense of community. this sense of community has trickled down into her staff. every single staff member there is an absolute joy. from the techs who just come to say hi during treatments and give pets, to the ones who patiently go over med instructions, to the innovators and quick thinkers who are willing to sneak my dog-reactive bullmastiff out through the back to avoid the packed lobby. but even then, the lobby often feels like a coffee shop rather than a waiting room. the folks at the front desk are always so friendly and joyful and patients and owners all seem to enjoy congregating and patiently waiting their turn. even those who are quietly stressing about their ill pet or sadly those who have just lost one are offered so much comfort and kindness by the staff or even fellow owners in the lobby. dr tran is relentless in her pursuit of providing peace and comfort to owners and animals alike. as my cane corso's arthritis has progressed, she has been quick to think of new meds to try and comforting words that offer hope and enthusiasm for where he's at in his progress which is invaluable to someone like me who worries at every struggle. if anyone is skeptical about the benefits of accupuncture, i can vouch wholeheartedly now that i have had two dogs benefit immensely from the practice. the first time my bullmastiff went in for treatment it looked like he was melting into the floor the minute she started. i have never seen that dog so absolutely at peace. and despite him barely being able to walk without a significant limp after his injury, he is back to his normal self running and jumping after his acupuncture treatments. the hardest part about being a patient at this clinic is the sheer magnitude of people clambering to get in. but it's just a testament to how great this place and its staff truly are and the wait is always well worth it because even that can be enjoyable here.

I also had a consultation on what my fur-children need nutritionally and how to achieve that goal. She is very gentle and calming. This is reassuring when your fur-child can be a bit high strung. Bridgett had really dark brown plague on her teeth and her gums were inflamed. While in the process of non-anesthetic procedure, I could see the pink returning to her gums. When she started using the cleaning pic, the plague came off like a skin from the tooth. Her breath was immediately better and Bridgett was none the worse for wear. She comes to your home which makes it even better for your pet.

Our girl, Nikka, is a 12…read moreyear old Husky/Shepherd mix and she recently developed some hind leg soreness/stiffness and urinary incontinence. We took her to a conventional vet to rule out UTI/kidney issues and had X rays done to ensure there was nothing grossly abnormal structurally with her bones. Everything checked out and I knew I didn't want to start her on a medication with significant side effects or have her on pain meds indefinitely, so I searched for holistic vets who did acupuncture and was so happy to see Dr. Rose was local to us! . On our first visit, Dr. Rose did a thorough exam of Nikka and informed us that Nikka had an unusual heart murmur. A different vet at a conventional clinic that had seen Nikka just a few weeks earlier also mentioned the heart murmur but said it was very mild/quiet and didn't seem concerned about it all and didn't give us any indication that it needed to be investigated. I thought that the murmur must be no big deal based on how the first vet handled the finding. Dr. Rose immediately told us that Nikka's heart murmur was quite pronounced and unusual sounding and she gave us a lot of info and recommendations on next steps. . Well, today we took Nikka to a cardiologist where she had an ECHO and it turns out she has dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), which, thankfully, has been caught early and might be able to be improved with medication and dietary changes. . Dr. Rose literally saved Nikka's life with her attention to detail, her excellent clinical skills, and her prompt and informative follow up and recommendations. I will be eternally and forever grateful to her competence and expertise. . Nikka has also had 2 sessions of acupuncture and cold laser/photobiomodulation and she definitely has more pep in her step. Nikka also loves coming to Serenity Holistic Vet, she isn't anxious or nervous and just settles right down and relaxes when the acupuncture needles are in. Dr. Rose is a gem and we are so lucky to have her here in Murrieta.
