Pulled pork sandwich
Andy B.

I got a pulled pork sandwich, a side of tater tot casserole, and a Yuengling. The bbq was fantastic! I would love to go back and try the brisket and burnt ends. The tater tot casserole left a little to be desired, but I was still happy I tried the place. And, I would absolutely go back.

So I'm not the biggest barbecue fan, but this place is pretty good. I think it's a bit pricey for what you get, but it's delicious. Service is okay. I'm not a fan of how the menu is set up on posters on the wall, as it's a bit hard to read overall. - Tiger king sandwich (4.5/5): I've had this with the brisket and another time substituted the brisket for pulled pork. It was so yummy! The white sauce is delicious, creamy and amazing flavor. The meat is tender, cooked well. Onion straws add the perfect crunch. I am not a fan of the sweet barbecue sauce but everything else was amazing!

This place has a great feel to it, very updated interior, plenty of drink choices, the service was great, got a couple of good recommendations from the hostess. The chicken was delicious and crispy, my sandwich was loaded and the gold sauce was great. I will say the sides are kinda small for what you pay for the entree combos or even the sandwiches. Especially considering an extra side is 4.50+ Will I return yes, but for price reasons not very often...

We went to Buds on a sunday when it wasn't very busy and the service was good. The theme and ambiance of the restaurant is nice. The food is good but I'm not sure if it's something I would crave again.

Pulled pork, Mac and cheese, and house made chips.

Came on a late Saturday afternoon, when we walked in we were told they had just had a big rush and were sold out of all except the pulled pork and the smoked chicken. We ordered those, Mac and cheese and house made chips plus 2 fountain drinks. Omg $45 later. The plates came out pretty quick. You get 3 drumsticks that are fairly big. The pulled pork did not come with a bun or bread. The bbq sauce is very vinegar strong. I like vinegar but wow. It was ok, but for the price I'd expect a little more food.

Burnt Ends (4 small pieces, all fat) and soupy Mexican corn

I'm not sure I've ever given a 1 star review. This place..was a joke. The building itself is awesome and could be something really awesome. The food, not so much. It was cinco de Mayo so their choices were EXTREMELY limited. I was okay with that. Ordered the burnt ends, wanted a good side with it. Only offered Mexican corn and Mexican rice that day. Decided I'd give the corn a try. My aunt ordered smoked chicken tacos with Mexican corn. The service was quick, food came out fast. Of course it did, look at the portions. 4 little burnt ends for $20, 2 sloppy slop tacos for $18. The burnt ends were mainly fat, the few pieces of meat I got were decent. The tacos were flavorless and slop. The Mexican corn tasted like corn in vinegar; not good! For The prices, this place needs to work on portion sizes. I would not recommend wasting your money here.

I used to say that CoMo Smoke and Fire was clearly the best BBQ in town, but ever since Bud's opened up, they've been giving em a run for their money. Every time I've gone to Bud's has been fantastic! My favorite item on the menu is the smoked chicken. It's not as heavily advertised as their brisket or pulled pork but I think it's objectively the best thing on the menu. It's a must order every time I go. Make sure to ask for a side of their Alabama white sauce with it! The pulled pork is the next best in my opinion. Their location on Ninth is super ideal and the design of the restaurant is second to none in CoMo.

Legit Texas barbecue. Friendly owner, has been by my table at least once each time I've been. Good variety of dishes that change each day.

Worst BBQ ever!! Stay away! Chicken was dry, flavorless, and not worth the $18! The sides were small and sucked as well.

Their passion for culinary innovation is very obvious. Highly recommend this experience. Both the tequila and rum flights are so worth it. Since we have been twice we have tried a few things and everything has been excellent. Bartender and staff know their stuff and give great suggestions. We have tried the platters and a torta and the meats on both where outstanding. The spoon bread and the sweet potato sides are a MUST, and the brownie dessert is definitely the best way to end the meal.

You order at the counter, take a number to your table, and the rest is basically self service besides them bringing your food out. I ordered the grilled chicken thigh platter and was honestly really underwhelmed. The chicken barely had any flavor at all. The sauces they gave helped save the meal a little, but even then I still wasn't very happy with it. Now let me talk about the BBQ pulled pork nachos because those were amazing. You get the spice from the jalapeños, the crunch from the chips, the sweetness from the BBQ sauce, the creaminess from the nacho cheese, and the savory flavor from the pulled pork. Everything together was honestly a party in your mouth.

However, there was a restaurant in Columbia that served good sushi and bulgogi beef, which we planned on eating at during this trip. However, we learned they had closed. Now, when we first arrived to Columbia, we visited one of our favorite coffee shops, which is next door to this "I'M Korean" restaurant, and I didn't notice. So, the next day, when we were still in the mood for some bulgogi beef, I did a search and found this place. Naturally, found it ideally coincidental that it was next to Grind. The place is nice for an otherwise un-raved about restaurant. The ambiance is personal, and rather intimate with low lights. We arrived during the later part of the afternoon, before the closed for the afternoon, and was surprised to find not many people here. It could be due to the economy we've been thrashed into because of you know who, but regardless, it's a great restaurant that better be here when we return. Our waitress was perfect. She was friendly, and always made sure we had our glasses filled with water. She also informed us, as much as she could about what the menu had and what she thought of the place --delightful.

I shared my food with her daughter, I felt ILL the next day- throwing up, nonstop diarrhea (Thank God I work from home), sweating and dizzy and her daughter had the some issues (just mild compare to mine since she didn't eat much as she felt the ribs were dry). I reached out to the owner, Gerald Nathan, and first he blamed covid (no I don't have covid, I even got tested as I assumed the same as first and also I am fully vaccinated), then he accuses my friend of POISONING me. I simply reached out to make him aware of the issue, and I understand I order when they were finally starting to shut down (I ordered round 7;30, they close at 8), and honestly things happen, and this was his response. this isn't a proper way to treat customers.
