Never been here before and learned a lesson to never come back. To start, this place has no signage out front whatsoever for this business. Seems crazy to me trying to operate a food establishment business with no sign out front and the worst hours I've ever seen before. They are open a couple hours for lunch and a few on Friday-Saturday night. It's awfully hard to make money when you are closed almost all the time. Their menu is about as basic as it comes. There are a few protein items, pork, brisket, sausage and a few side items. Since I had never been here before I made the mistake of asking a question about the menu to the very unfriendly lady behind the counter taking my order. I told the lady I wanted a pork plate and it said side items were extra. I asked if the brisket was a side item and the lady rudely laughed at me as if I was asking a totally outrageous question. She then with an attitude told me as if I was stupid that it was not a side item and just shot me a snotty look on her face. I asked her what the side items were and she pointed to a list like I should have already known. I picked the side item, paid my money and waited for my order. The pork plate that I ordered was called out so I went to get my food. Again, the lady didn't even try to say thanks or give me a smile for my business. I grabbed some of their sauce because once I saw the pork it looked totally dry and flavorless to me. First impressions are usually correct and this was no different. The pork had no moisture or flavor to it at all and the texture was extremely dry. I had to drown the pork in their sauce which is nothing more than Head Country sweet sauce. The portions they give you are not very big at all either. I got about 6 oz. of pork and left there hungry. If there was one thing that I did like about this place is that they do have Coke products and had Mello Yello on the fountain. Walking out, the lady didn't even make eye contact or try to thank me for my business. It's a great way to run off new customers from start to finish. Thanks again, and I will never be back! read more
