Scam, fraud, deception, bait-and-switch; all words that describe my experience at Caldwell Country…read moreChevrolet. Hope yours is better, which I'm sure it will be. This speaks more to the integrity of individuals when it comes time to do the right thing. In September of 2024, I purchased a used 2020 GMC 1500 AT4 Diesel from Caldwell Country Chevrolet. As I signed papers in front of finance manager, Mike Frees, he told me, and as the contract states, the truck would be covered by the service contract even though it had an after-market lift installed. I found out that was a lie months later when mechanical issues came up, and the warranty company said the contract was void due to the lift exceeding the coverage by half an inch. I called Mike and he offered to bring the truck in for repairs while looking for another policy to replace the one I was sold, which was a reasonable solution, so I gave it some time. The apologetic response from Mike Frees indicated he was very much aware of the level of misrepresentation that took place at his desk. However, he was unsuccessful in finding another service contract and when I asked for an alternative solution, that's when I was informed by the GM, Adam Dunker, they would do nothing else beyond refunding the service contract, which to date, neither I nor the lender has received. I was told the one-time repair and refunding of the service contract would make me whole, but that doesn't fix issues that come up down the road or the fact I never would have purchased this truck without a service contract. I proposed they buy back the truck; I proposed a monetary amount sufficient to reduce the lift to fall back into coverage, but no response. I've been patient and reasonable over the last several months, but unfortunately these issues get swept under the rug by dealerships. Why? Because even with a winning argument, who's going to spend 10k on an attorney for this: no one, juice isn't worth the squeeze, and they know that. These are cowards who will take advantage of you given the opportunity

If I have any service-related problems, the customer relations manager always ensures fair treatment and keeps me informed of any maintenance issues. Thanks to the great services from Caldwell Country, I highly recommend their dealership if you're in the market for a new or used vehicle or simply need automotive repair services.

On a scale of 1 to 5, selling my car to Carvana was a 10+…read more We've been so conditioned to expect hassle, games, and disappointment -- especially in the car world -- that a smooth, honest experience almost feels unreal. That should be the standard. Instead, it feels exceptional. When Carvana gave me a quote that was way higher than I expected -- higher than what I had seen from Edmunds and KBB -- I naturally assumed the usual nonsense was coming next. That's what modern business trains you to expect: a nice number online, then the second you show up in person they start finding excuses to shave it down. But Carvana didn't do that. They didn't play games. They didn't punish a minor issue. They didn't turn the process into a negotiation circus. They just handled business like competent, honest adults. The online process took me 15 minutes total. I answered the questions and got a quote. I then uploaded my driver's license and odometer reading, signed the digital title, and picked a time to go to Carvana. That was it. No maze. No nonsense. No pointless back-and-forth. Then I got there, they quickly checked my car to make sure what I said about it was accurate, and I was out in about 25 minutes. Twenty-five minutes. That alone should embarrass all the traditional car dealerships. No half-day hostage situation. No disappearing into the back room. No fake manager routine. They checked the car, handled everything professionally, and within about 6 hours the direct deposit was already in my bank account and available. That kind of speed and follow-through is so rare now that it almost feels unreal. That's what made this experience so compelling. Not just that they paid the quote, but that they didn't play games, they didn't punish a minor issue, the process was fast, simple, and respectful, and they gave me the rare feeling that I was dealing with a company that was actually competent and honest. Carvana didn't just buy my car -- they restored my faith that a business can treat people decently, keep its word, and make life easier instead of harder. At this point, not trying Carvana first would honestly feel stupid. I haven't bought a car from Carvana, so I can't speak on that side of the business. But after this experience, I can say without hesitation that I would never sell or trade in another vehicle without trying Carvana first. Carvana is clearly at another level. P.S. I went to the Carvana on I35 in Austin, Texas.

We received almost $7000 more selling our vehicle through Carvana. the process in whole took less than an hour. This is the easiest way to sell a vehicle, hands down!
