The work was satisfactory. The young man who they sent to do my work was not their best employee because after several no-shows, delays and excuses including the old stand-bys "I was in the hospital" and "I had to a death in the family," he emailed me to say that he had been fired from Fidelity. No surprise there. All communications were from the young man. He had no business card and his van didn't have a company logo. Possibly he wasn't an approved employee but I don't know how he got my info since I contacted the company through the review source. I should have called the company directly after the first excuse but I was happy with the work performed and I was willing to put up with the excuses since the charges were reasonable and I hadn't paid anything upfront. What astounded me was the fact that the management of Fidelity never contacted me during the four weeks between the last no-show and the email I received from the worker explaining he was fired but he would like to complete my jobs. I don't think so! I really don't understand why a well-rated company conducted themselves this way. I can understand one lousy employee but there should have been follow-up from the company and an offer to send out another employee to finish the work. source

When pressed on it, they eventually responded, "We don't want people to just use us for numbers. We want to put a face to a name, and 10 minutes is not a lot of time." I have four bids for our roof for shingles and metal panels without having to meet with someone. It's almost 2023; maybe yield your classical values a little bit to be more competitive. Positives: Tom was very responsive via text and email - he was one of the first electricians to respond and had one of the most competitive offers. He gave me specific Amazon links and directions about purchasing a switch which helped me feel confident in his skillset and also in the products I was purchasing. In addition, he helped me solve a mystery about some other lights in my house (turns out I just couldn't find the switch). Room for improvement: On the first day we arranged for the job, Tom was late to arrive and we had to reschedule because it passed the time when I could be home. However, he worked to make it right and showed up on time at the next arranged time. He also waived the switch fee to compensate me for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. Other areas for improvement are that they could have cleaned up better after they left - there was still a lot of debris on the ground and I had to mop twice. And the switch was not completely flush with the wall (they did try to make it right and get it flush with the wall after I pointed it out but it's not perfect, I will have to have someone adjust it). The quote didn't mention patching but patching was included during the installation which most of the other electricians did not include.
