The steak sub and chicken wings were pretty good. Nice wood paneling decor. I will be back to visit this establishment soon.

    Table 105 - Rhino roll

Uptown Dining in Downtown Kane …read more.. Our expectations were exceeded this weekend at Table 105. We regularly visit Cook Forrest and were looking for a nearby restaurant that offers a "step above" the tavern fare that typifies the area. Current positive web reviews about Table 105 motivated us to make the drive to Kane. The friendly, front-house team was efficient in greeting, seating and serving us. The extensive and enticing menu whetted our appetites with detailed descriptions of all selections. Likewise, the beverage list had many tempting and unique options. The Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip with house-made potato chips was especially tasty. The dip had a terrific balance of flavors and the chips were addictive (not greasy or overly salted). The Usual Burger was anything but usual; the beef was clearly superior in quality and was seasoned to excite the tastebuds. The fries were crunchy, scrumptious and disappeared fast. The Towering Ahi Tuna Wonton made me howl. The tuna was especially fresh and the accompanying relish, sauce, sliced ginger and wasabi resulted in a sushi BOMB. I can't get those flavors out of my head. If we lived in the Kane vicinity, Table 105 would be our go-to restaurant. There are at least 20 additional menu choices that I NEED to taste.

I'll give it credit, it's probably the best restaurant in Kane, Pennsylvania, but Kane is such a…read morerun down horrid dump of a town with so little to offer that isn't saying very much. Walking in here is like walking into a time warp sending you back at least 60 years. Everything about the place is out of date including the menu items and specials. I had the broiled fish which was served overdone, dusted with a low quality paprika, served in a bowl of what was basically water with no lemon, tartar or other accompaniment except for a creamy coleslaw which, I confess, was rather good but not good enough to offset the horrors of my main course. The service is friendly, polite, but disorganized and confused. My coffee came served in a mug from a nursing home which didn't exactly add to my enjoyment, but from the looks of some of their customers they may well have been on release or refugees from that nursing home.

I usually avoid ordering crab cakes anywhere but where I think they'll be good. I didn't expect excellent crab cakes in Kane, PA but I was wrong. This place makes some of the very best tasting crab cakes I have ever eaten. They were definitely on the small side, making their price a little questionable, but the flavour made it worth it. Not much filler and they were broiled to a perfect brown color. The mashed potatoes were also good (home made) and the salad was just fine. Hubby ordered a steak and the flavor was great. It was cooked a little longer than was requested, but still an enjoyable meal. The best part is that, the next time we come through town, I won't think twice about taking the kids in. There is a restaurant on one side and a bar on the other side (with pool table in the back). I will definitely return..

My brother and his wife got the fish sandwich & fries. The fries were fresh cut and were piled high on their plates and were done perfectly( I tried a few ) I only heard compliments about their meals . My wife got the chicken & biscuits with a salad, which too ,I heard no complaints. Now on to my meal. I ordered the deep fried Haddock with baked potato and cottage cheese and a roll. The piece of Haddock took up the whole plate ! The potato was steaming hot and well done and the serving of cottage cheese was huge. So.... we were all happy and content with our meals and I couldn't manage to only finish 1/2 of my fish meal ,that' today's lunch. OH YEAH ,let's not forget the friendly waitresses. And also remember that this isn't a FAST FOOD RESTAURANT ,but then again when you're with good friends chatting and laughing while you're waiting ,time flies. And it still wasn't a bad wait . Anyways I would recommend stopping at GRANDMA BAIR'S if you're passing through KANE PA ,we definitely will !

Our last experience at Twisted Vine was so incredibly stupid and infuriating that we found a new site for the family trips. We called on Friday night to ask if they were still dog friendly. We've taken the dogs here on at least two prior occasions and never had any issues but with COVID, we understood that things have changed. We were assured on the phone that the patio was still dog friendly. We piled into the car and made the trek over only to be turned around at the door. That is frustrating enough, but when the moron behind the counter started talking to my wife, she said they never allowed dogs on the patio (news to us, and our dogs who have been there) and that we must have confused them with the place next door (which we have never been to). We noted that we called the night before and the idiot shouted 'no you didn't, you would have talked to me!' My wife pulled out her phone and read off the number she called. Dumbo confirmed that was their number and STILL told us we didn't call (wtf?). She did seem to remember that we also asked for two cases of a particular wine on the same call (that supposedly didn't happen) which were ready for us to pick up. Do yourself a favor and bring some wine if you come visit Kane. Spend your money at the excellent brewery 5 doors down and the butcher shop a half mile down the road. Save your time and money and skip this place.
