The strip wax they use is really tough on the skin and much more painful than hard wax. Any waxer/salon using this method is a red flag for me and I can't recommend this place for that reason.

She let me know that since we were the only ones in the building, she would lock the door for safety purposes and I so appreciated that. The interior is so cute, filled with lots of products to check out and waxing marketing all over. Brittany guided me back to one of the rooms which was small but not cramped in any way. Incredibly clean and offering an adjustable flatbed to lay back on that was covered with a disposable sheet, it was quite welcoming. And the playlist?! Fire. I don't love waxing, I mean, who does? But this was such a great experience. They use hard wax vs. strips and I truly prefer it that way. Brittany used small pieces of wax vs. longer ones which made each pull gentler, so great. I let her know that I hateeee tweezing but understand it has to happen, and she was quite patient with me and still smooth when doing so. Because I was a first-time customer, I received 20% off, so appreciated it. I'm truly happy with the final result and definitely plan on returning!

Literally the absolute WORST nail shop EVER !! They are super expensive for no reason . They charge for every little thing . I'm getting charge for a French tip, that's fine. But to charge me more because I want a curved French tip is beyond me . They told me one price on the phone, I get there & it's way more . Charge for breathing , a charge to remove paint, a charge to do my nails , a charge for French tip, a charge for gel , a charge for a nude base, a charge because my natural nails are longer then usual I guess, everything is A CHARGE !!! The polish was uneven, thick, and sloppy. I called the salon, and they asked me to come back so they could fix them. Unfortunately, the second attempt still looked bad. When I told the manager I still wasn't satisfied, she shrugged her shoulders and dismissed my concerns. I even went outside to look at my toes in natural light, took another photo, and came back in to show her. Instead of trying to make it right, she became rude and only offered me $10 back. She also told me, "Your feet look fine. They only look bad when you put a camera on them." The most shocking part was that other customers spoke up for me. Two customers told the manager my toes looked unacceptable and that they would be upset too if they had paid for that work. One customer was so bothered by how I was being treated that she personally gave me back the money I had spent. I repeatedly told her she didn't have to do that, but she insisted. I will never forget her kindness. While this was happening, I also watched three customers leave because of the way the staff was handling the situation and how I was being treated. This review isn't just about a bad pedicure--mistakes happen. It's about the complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service. I gave them an opportunity to fix the problem, and instead I was dismissed, treated disrespectfully, and left paying for work that was unacceptable. I've included photos of the original pedicure and the "fixed" version so others can judge for themselves.

It was supposed to be $55, but when I went to pay, I was charged $70 and when I asked why it was that much they told me it was a $15 up charge for gel. They didn't even give me any other option. I live in San Diego and I get pedicures every month and this is more expensive than the pedicures I get there. I would not return to this place.

She then proceeded to do what all nail salons do when you have gel polish on your toes and filed it off with the electric file which took a total 90 seconds for both feet. She put some type of product on the bottom of my heels and put plastic over them. My feet kept slipping off of the pedestal while she was clipping my cuticles and I didn't understand why she didn't fix this. She started using that grater tool on the bottom of my right foot and cut me in multiple places and then cut me so bad on my big toe it was bleeding profusely. She apologized and I told her I don't want her to use that thing. She said that was her fault because she didn't check to see if I had callouses on my big toe and that the tool was brand new and sharp and she should've been aware of that. She said this. She then squirted some stuff on the cut and I had to ask her what that was. She didn't volunteer that information. She said for the inconvenience, she wouldn't charge me for the callous remover (of course not because you only worked on one foot before cutting it up) and that she would upgrade my pedicure to a Bellini which was basically nothing. I asked her for a bandaid and she said she didn't know if they had any!! I told her I needed a bandaid and she said she would check and came back with a bandaid. When I was checking out, I noticed a sign that said they are prohibited from using tools like the one she cut me with. My total was $105. She charged me $10 to remove my gel which is unheard of, $15 for gel polish which is customary, and then $25 FOR THE CHROME POWDER!!! She did not tell me it was extra when she was telling me the add on prices. I wish I hadn't paid them because it's the next day and my foot hurts so bad! This place needs to close down. I was the only person in there and no one else showed up the entire time I was there except for my brother. The employee said she's been in the nail business for over 10 years but she's using a prohibited tool and cut me multiple times with it. I tried calling them 3x since being there yesterday to request my money back after seeing how badly she cut me and I'm limping and the phone just keeps ringing and ringing. Do not come here if you value your life. I really hope I don't get an infection.
