I've been hearing about Chef Henry for many years, but recently I was fortunate to attend an event…read morethat he catered. The menu was grilled chicken with a sun dried tomato sauce, rice, green beans(fresh, not canned), mashed potatoes(fresh, not flakes), salad, rolls, and some type of punch that had me mildly harassing the server on the ingredients to no avail.....that punch was lethal and I can't even begin to figure out the recipe but he did tell me it was a bunch of stuff mixed together.....they definitely need to market that stuff. The food was simply incredible, perfectly seasoned chicken with a creamy sauce that disappeared pretty quickly. I've had many catered events but never had any of them serve fresh green beans, it's almost always canned(little things impress me:-). Moist rice pilaf with onions and other seasonings and my goodness the mashed potatoes were heavenly! Everything was just amazingly good and I tried my best to at least get one recipe but he just wouldn't budge......even tried to get him to open a restaurant......harrassed the heck out of him:-) I guess I'll have to plan an event so that Chef Henry can deliver up more of that delicious food.....the punch alone is worth it.

I opted for the burnt ends sandwich on Texas toast ( recommended by our server Katy instead of the bun) which was a great choice. The meat was super tender, great smoke and kissed with a little bbq and those luscious caramelized onions. I decided on side of collard greens and mac 'n cheese. Hubby had the Texas Trinity which consisted of ribs, sliced brisket and sliced jalapeño cheese sausage link served with the best hush puppies and he decided on sides of collard greens and sweet potato casserole. Note, sorry the brisket was almost devoured before I could take the pic. Everything was seasoned to perfection! The brisket and jalapeño cheese sausage was the best he's had since leaving Texas in 2006; so good in fact that he ordered 2 additional links to go! With bellies full, took the delicious peach cobbler to-go...YUM! The atmosphere and ambiance always stellar w the wood menus, table settings started w hot bread. Food was always fresh and delicious w an incredible staff that made us feel @ home. incredibly sad Chef Todd relocated to North Carolina. The pretzel bread w seasoned butter (pink sea salt) was always a fun start. Our absolute favorite items on the menu were the steaks and fresh scallops which both melted in your mouth. The Steak, typically fillet, was always cooked to perfection. Since all the ingredients were farm to table, local and organic, it had a remarkable taste and the egg on top of the steak was a nice touch. Posted a few pictures below which got my taste buds salivating. Chef Todds passion for food and his menu is infectious. Not only will the food absolutely knock your socks off but the mouthwatering journey he takes you on will leave an everlasting memory. We highly recommend Terre e Terre.

A fundraising event for LIFE CHOICES Rowan was held at the West End Plaza Event Center last night…read more This 38th annual gala had all of the key components - a terrific celebrity speaker, engaging client videos, a message from the board chairman and executive director within a lovely setting. The audience included past ministry supporters and those who were interested in learning more. The only thing lacking was the caterers wait service and food. - not enough servers to plate & deliver the meals - obviously, not enough food (since the menu completely changed from what was shared) - no napkins - no water on the table - no standard beverages were offered (ie, tea, lemonade, coffee, etc) It became apparent that the LCR staff left the venue to secure napkins and ample water for the attendees who were patiently waiting for their meals. Thankfully, the LCR staff distributed the water and napkins so we could eat the cupcakes that were on the table before the meal arrived. Most of us were not served until more than 1-1/2 hours after the dinner service began. And when it was placed before us, it was cold chewy grocery store fried chicken and coleslaw. A far cry from the luscious meal that was described and promoted both online & across social media. It was so sad to see this happen. LIFE CHOICES Rowan is a hometown champion that supports moms, babies and families - they believe wholeheartedly in their community. And this time, Outside The Box Catering and Decor - let them down.
