The food was simply incredible, perfectly seasoned chicken with a creamy sauce that disappeared pretty quickly. I've had many catered events but never had any of them serve fresh green beans, it's almost always canned(little things impress me:-). Moist rice pilaf with onions and other seasonings and my goodness the mashed potatoes were heavenly! Everything was just amazingly good and I tried my best to at least get one recipe but he just wouldn't budge......even tried to get him to open a restaurant......harrassed the heck out of him:-) I guess I'll have to plan an event so that Chef Henry can deliver up more of that delicious food.....the punch alone is worth it.

Since all the ingredients were farm to table, local and organic, it had a remarkable taste and the egg on top of the steak was a nice touch. A fundraising event for LIFE CHOICES Rowan was held at the West End Plaza Event Center last night…read more This 38th annual gala had all of the key components - a terrific celebrity speaker, engaging client videos, a message from the board chairman and executive director within a lovely setting. The audience included past ministry supporters and those who were interested in learning more. The only thing lacking was the caterers wait service and food. - not enough servers to plate & deliver the meals - obviously, not enough food (since the menu completely changed from what was shared) - no napkins - no water on the table - no standard beverages were offered (ie, tea, lemonade, coffee, etc) It became apparent that the LCR staff left the venue to secure napkins and ample water for the attendees who were patiently waiting for their meals. Thankfully, the LCR staff distributed the water and napkins so we could eat the cupcakes that were on the table before the meal arrived. Most of us were not served until more than 1-1/2 hours after the dinner service began. And when it was placed before us, it was cold chewy grocery store fried chicken and coleslaw. A far cry from the luscious meal that was described and promoted both online & across social media. It was so sad to see this happen. LIFE CHOICES Rowan is a hometown champion that supports moms, babies and families - they believe wholeheartedly in their community. And this time, Outside The Box Catering and Decor - let them down. Delivery to my home was right on time and they brought everything that was going to be needed. So so easy for me, the host.
