The bridal party was up until 11 PM the night before the wedding fixing her mistake. She was not the least bit apologetic. On the wedding day, Kathy also felt the need to stop, in the middle of taking photos, to let me know that I was doing a good job hiding my bigger body behind the skinny girls when posing for photos. I am not sure why this crude woman felt the need to make a negative comment about MY body. I was going to just move on and let this go, until I heard from multiple other people that she had also body shamed them and their friends. To Kathy: I can lose the weight, but you'll always be ugly.

My favorite is the meatloaf but the chicken has been great also. Basically you walk up to the counter and place your order and it's ready to go in about 10 minutes. Looking over the counter, you can see them prepare your food. They also have daily specials which change each day and generally very good. This week we got to try the other side of the business with a catered luncheon. We had Corporate Executives from LA and Florida in this day for a two day meeting with all employees. They had asked if we could recommend a restaurant that caters or a caterer and I remembered Kirk's and it was the first on the list that I recommended. The went with Kirk's and it turned out great. The lunch was ordered from LA and confirmed once they got to Statesville. Delivery and set up were to be at 11:30am and that went off like clockwork. Everyone had a wide variety to choose from including wraps ( I had Turkey), Chicken Salad Sandwiches, Club Sandwiches, both Pasta and Potato Salads and Doritos on the side. I had a little of each and all were very good. Presentation, while not white table clothes and candles, was more that adequate and appropriate to the location and even. Quantity of the food was such that there were left overs at the end but nothing went to waste. An interesting point is that a large number of our employees are from Statesville and almost no one was familiar with Kirk's. They are now and many indicated that they were going to try the takeout on the way home so they did not have to cook or were going to use Kirk's for upcoming family gatherings. The kitchen is equipped with coolers, heaters, ice machine and dish washer to handle your food service needs. Last time in was for an anniversary party seating 100+ people plus a two-line buffet with space enough for dancing and cavorting into the evening. I can't say as how I cared much for the music selection but that's more on the hostess than the facility.
