today I had a new patient appt here.... when I made the appt I advised them I have NO DENTAL…read moreINSURANCE and was clear what I needed done x rays and my teeth cleaned... I was advised I would be there for 2 hours and it would be $349.00 all of which I agreed... everything was/seemed fine I did everything they wanted was there for two hours BUT NEVER had my teeth cleaned.... I had X-rays, spoke to Dr Maze all without an issue but still no teeth cleaning!!! i was then told to pay the $349.00 fee but still received no dental cleaning.... Was NEVER given a reason my teeth were not cleaned etc.. I was then given paperwork stating I needed to come back to have my teeth "deep cleaned" for an additional $1,500.. and I need to be on a 3 month cleaning schedule, have all my fillings redone and even tho I made the comment "at least I don't have any new cavities" (trying to be funny looking at the bright side). I was then told by Dr Maze that I have possible 5 more cavities they never told me about or showed me a picture of.... I was only given the option of Botox injections for TMJ not an actual night guard and no price was ever discussed for anything!!! At NO POINT during this appt was I told I would NOT be having my teeth cleaned! Never given the option of "care credit" to help with paying bills etc.. the only option I was given is we have an opening next Tuesday for a cleaning which would cost an additional $1,500... I then paid the $349 and told them I would think about the appt over the holiday weekend... I was uncomfortable enough NOT to make the next appt but honestly at the time wasn't sure why? So taking time to reflect on the appt and ponder making the decision this is what I have come to figure out... It was more than obvious that because I had NO INSURANCE my appt was made in error as they PREFER not to deal with people without insurance.... It's so unfortunate as up till the point of checkout and realizing no dental cleaning would be done everything was very accommodating and friendly... in fact as long as you "go along with their nickle and dimeing everything is fine". But the minute you question something they are no longer accommodating or nice! Why would I as a patient with NO INSURANCE pay $349 to a dentist to only have X-rays and talk to the DR? Only to have to go to a different dentist with NO INSURANCE to PAY AGAIN to have my teeth cleaned! The whole point of this appt was for the teeth cleaning!!! Now I have to do the same thing at another dentists office!!! A complete waste of my money and time I did not need to do because they were not honest and up front!! BEWARE..... they are over accommodating and nice on the outside but make sure you ask questions and get clarifications cuz "I feel this dentist/office personnel will definitely take advantage of you!" Given the chance.. I feel like I dodged a bullet and will not be back!!! IMO they prefer to deal with insurance companies because they make more money... then try to take advantage of patients who don't have insurance.... its so UNFORTUNATE that because I'm UNINSURED I am treated differently, my "out of pocket payment" is not good enough because it's not nearly enough money compared to what is paid by an insurance company!!! a small understanding why healthcare costs are outrageous in the United States and normal people get over looked... I/we agreed to a contract (x rays and dental cleaning for $349) and then they changed the rules but expect to get paid the same! Take your money elsewhere or pay thru the nose here...

Sharon at the front desk said there was a last minute cancellation and since I live 2 minutes away I immediately said yes . The whole place is so welcoming and friendly and checking in was a breeze . Lindsy the hygienist gave me a 5 6 months cleaning and then in comes the handsome Dr . William Timothy Andrew's a Ohio State University Graduate , who reminded me of Corey Higgins , my son's dear friend from childhood . He was very thorough and I left the The Dental Studio Of Avon Lake , feeling and looking like a million bucks . Sometimes old is not always gold! So finally I was able to start this journey in February! I am sooo very happy with all the progress; I have completed 10/16 months so far, just had an appointment and I'm already basically done!! Just minor tweaks now. Wearing the aligners for the full 22 hours is key. I really kept up with it along with all the check ins, so I do believe that helped speed the process up by a lot. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming at the Rocky River location and Dr. White is awesome! He was very personable and nice. Afterwards another staff member explained pricing and financing options. There was absolutely no pressure to sign up at that very instant, and that's what I think I love the most. They understand it is a big commitment, and sometimes families need to weight options. We went ahead and signed up that day, signed some papers and went on our way. They said it would take about 8 weeks to get his first treatment round in, but it only ended up taking about 4-5. He went in once everything was in and they fit him in his first set (along with some other stuff placed on. We are now being monitored ever week remotely and it is working out great. They Failed: 1) Straightening the bottom to stop the groove in the top front tooth. FAIL. The cap now has a groove. 2.) They didn't push the fang tooth back and down. 3.) Overall laziness & lack of caring by the actual "Dr's." Their assistants do all the work. I would NEVER recommend them. THEY DON'T CARE. THEY ARE ARROGANT, GREEDY, DON'T WORK, AND DON'T CARE. The communication between dentist and orthodontist was so bad, they did inclusions on the bottom set and they weren't needed. It's been a disaster. I'm an adult, if that makes a difference. I'm angry, and rightly so. They tried to expediate the process (to save them money on trays, made in Mexico and I'm almost nearly where I was in the beginning. The problem is the same.
