Have to repost since yelp took down my first review.... My daughter went here for years with no incident for routine cleanings. I generally give medical offices the benefit of the doubt, but this year we were handled very unprofessionally at every appointment we attended. The practice itself is very nice and clean. The staff is generally friendly. At a routine appointment I was alerted that they had found an extra tooth on my daughter's routine x-ray. I trusted their recommendation as to next steps; see the resident orthodontist for a consult. We scheduled the consult for the following week. The only thing I needed from any doctor at this practice, was an opinion of whether the extra tooth needed to be surgically removed. Remember this. At the orthodontist visit, they initially did not seem to review her records or know why she was there and immediately started talking about braces (even the receptionist said the phrase "First Braces Appointment" we checked in over the phone). Sometimes days are busy and our consult was a little out of norm for what the orthodontist generally sees, so I didn't think much of it. But the tech nor doctor knew about the extra tooth until I put the brakes on the braces talk and specifically brought it up. They pulled up the radiograph and essentially said "we'll have to schedule a panoramic which is great because she'll need that for braces too"... and immediately went super hard into selling braces and performing an oral exam on my daughter to show me all the spots braces will fix. Braces are on my horizon, but they were not my concern for that appointment. After the non-assessment, the tech made it a point to tell me that my "insurance is great" and "where does your husband work?" not realizing that it is my own insurance from my engineering job. I brushed it off and they told me that my insurance would probably pay for the panoramics and a good chunk of the braces my daughter seemed to so urgently need. I was then ushered to the receptionists where I scheduled our panoramic radiographs. I was sent home with a flyer saying that we were enrolled in the "First step towards braces!$!$!" Still, we came back the next week for the panoramic. I called from the parking lot to check in and they asked what we were there for (after not initially seeing my daughter's name on the schedule). I responded "[Daughter's name] is here for imaging" (because they specifically told me Thursdays are for imaging...their own words). The receptionist said "Ma'am, you know this is a dental office right?" Anyways, of course the images couldn't be assessed remotely (I just needed a professional opinion on whether the extra tooth needed to be surgically removed)...I'd need to schedule another orthodontist consult for that! At this point I put the breaks on everything. I had now taken time out of my work schedule 3 weeks in a row to take my daughter to their practice. Nothing was ever communicated clearly. No one answered why we needed another in-person orthodontist consult. Today I received a $215 bill for those x-rays. Guess my "husband's insurance" isn't so good after all. I don't recommend this practice anymore. It's family friendly, but they don't seem to respect client time at all, considering the fact that I am still left answer-less after they've seemingly squeezed enough money out of my dental insurance. read more

Words can not express how thankful I am to be able to say that Dr. Crowell is my dentist. She has always taken phenomenal care of me and made me love the dentist. My front tooth was chipped in half, and I was very worried about my teeth and the fact one was half gone. I called and she got me in right away. My biggest fear was having fake teeth, but Dr. Crowell was able to put my real tooth back in because I came with it. My smile will continue to light up rooms because of her. read more

My daughter has developed a severe dental phobia due to Dr. Ramirez's carelessness. Something that was described as painless hurt a lot because the doctor wasn't paying attention, and now dental visits are traumatic for both me and my child. Procedures were performed incorrectly, which meant they had to perform additional procedures at our expense! Nice scam they have going there. Every interaction gives one the feeling that they are trying to soak you by performing extra unnecessary procedures. Office staff is extremely rude and incompetent. Paperwork was lost and calls went unreturned. read more

A+++++++++ I can't say enough good things about this office and the staff!! It is by far the best dr. office experience that I've ever had! Our first visit was with my 3 year old son who seemed to love both Dr. Crowell and Laura, our Hygienist. Both of these women were very compassionate & personable, but also professional and had an outstanding pediatric bedside manner. Their methods of working with my son helped to gradually ease his fears, which allowed him to become completely comfortable with letting them exam and work in his mouth, which was a first for him (his last two visits to a different pediatric dentist, he wouldn't even let them look in his mouth!) The front office staff were equally friendly & professional, making our visit from start to finish quick, easy and methodical, which made me feel just as comfortable and at ease with this office. We also very much appreciated the quick tour of the office at the beginning of the visit and the explanation of how each visit runs, and the way they clean the instruments. Although a small detail, I can't express enough how much that quick tour and explanation made me feel even more comfortable and at ease at a doctors office than I've ever felt before. I wish every doctor's office would do that. And last but not least, the entire office was immaculately clean and organized. The waiting room had toys for little ones, and a video game room for older kids, and was decorated in bright fun colors and whimsical designs that I imagine appeal to kids, but with a casual sophistication which appealed to my adult senses. I couldn't be happier that we found Dr. Crowell's office for my son's pediatric dentist here in Ohio! The 45 minute drive was totally worth it! We will definitely be making this our son's dental home. read more

Dr. Crowell's practice is truly top notch! The entire team starting with the administrative staff to the hygienist and finally Dr. Crowell do whatever it takes to keep the mood positive for the child while providing thorough information to the parents. My kids have been seeing Diana (best hygienist ever) and Dr. Crowell for over 6 years. We originally took our daughter in for a dental problem we noticed at around 18 months. Dr. Crowell saw us every three months and was extremely comforting with the situation and how to monitor. Finally, when our daughter was old enough we had some work done in the office to include having a few teeth pulled. Now as my son gets ready to enter the years of orthodontia work we are confident with Dr. Crowell's team. My husband and I give our highest level of recommendation for Dr. Crowell's practice. read more

We highly recommend Dr. Crowell and her associates. We love this office!! They are the only dentist my kids go to. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. ( my boys have extremely hectic schedules with sports and they always find a way to make an appointment work) We never wait long to be seen and are always greeted and treated warmly. I have 3 kids (17,10 and 3) and they all love it. We have been coming here since my oldest turned 1 and that was 16 years ago.. We have been here with insurance and without and everything was always explained clearly and they go above and beyond to help anyway they can. We love this office! read more
