Dr. Constantinou sent me a letter stating he didn't want me and my daughter to return to Westlake…read moreDental (after years of going there) because we were upset at how she was pressured into getting dental sealants on all of her teeth by the dental hygienist. Even though she initially said no, the hygienist working with her cleaned her teeth and had her being questioned by three people about why she couldn't pay $500 asap for dental sealants. The secretary stated that Dr. Constantinou would call us but we never ever received a call or text ( even though I had been a pt there for 6+ years). I have attached the letter he sent to both me and my daughter. I am also posting my response. Please read his attached letter before you read my response Dear Dr. Constantinou, You are right. A Doctor-patient relationship depends on mutual trust, clear, communication, and the ability to work together towards appropriate care. I feel like that this was compromised when your dental team made my daughter feel as if she was being judged just because she did not want to get dental sealants applied to her teeth. Initially , she made the team aware that she did not want the sealants applied. However, even though she told the team no, they kept pressuring her to get them asap. The correct way to help her feel as if she really needed them- even though they were elective, would have been to ask her to do some research about them and think about it. Not make her feel as if all her teeth would rot right away if the sealants weren't applied. This also cost her an additional 500+ dollars for her dental bill that she couldn't really afford. I see now that you could care less about mutual trust. It seems as if you don't care at all. That's why you never called to find out what happened or even called to explain why this was such a good decision for someone who didn't have the money . So if getting rid of us makes you feel better about not following up and keeping her money. Then I don want you to be my dentist anyway.

Dear Dr. Constantinou,…read more I received your letter informing me that your office has decided to terminate our doctor-patient relationship. Ironically, your letter states that such a relationship depends on mutual trust, clear communication, and the ability to work together toward appropriate care. I agree wholeheartedly. However, it was your office's actions, not mine, that compromised that trust. At my appointment, I made it clear from the beginning that I did not want the dental sealants. Rather than respecting my decision, your staff repeatedly pressured me to accept the treatment, using fear-based statements about future cavities in an attempt to convince me otherwise. I was made to feel as though I was making an irresponsible decision simply because I exercised my right to decline an elective treatment. What concerns me most is that I was charged an extra $500 for treatment that I had already expressed I did not want. I also have serious concerns regarding how consent was handled. I was led to believe I was signing paperwork related to an estimate, yet I was later billed for the treatment. At no point was it clearly explained that my signature would authorize the final treatment or charges. A patient's right to informed consent includes the right to refuse treatment without being pressured, intimidated, or misled. Consent obtained after repeated pressure or without clear disclosure of financial responsibility is not meaningful informed consent. Instead of acknowledging these concerns or attempting to resolve them, your office chose to dismiss me as a patient. While you certainly have the right to discontinue the doctor-patient relationship, doing so does not address the serious issues surrounding patient autonomy, informed consent, or the financial circumstances that led to this dispute. Patients should never feel pressured into accepting treatment or believe that their right to refuse care will be disregarded. Respect for patient autonomy is a fundamental part of ethical dental practice. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Elise Tidmore

It just blows my mind how I was treated in a respectfully and courteous way as soon as I walked into the door. I was greeted by the front desk who was very kind who then introduced me to another staff who offered me coffee and gave me a tour of the facility which was clean and very up to date with equipment. Every person that I met was very friendly and was always introduced to each of the team involved in my care. I do not have dental insurance, but their prices are affordable and definitely cheaper than most dental offices in the area. They accept most dental insurance if you plan to use your dental insurance. I ended up choosing their dental plan which was within my price range that fits my needs. I highly recommend Advanced Dental Care and Aesthetics to anyone who wants to be treated with respect and receive real customer service. The entire staff are outstanding and amazing! I scheduled my next appointment and I cannot wait.

Then the implant chipped right away so now I have to have it filled at a different dentist. i was so frustrated I just lived with it being chipped for a while. Also, I was being treated with invisalign but for some reason the dentist decided to make a physical mold for my braces so I would have had to come back in for them to scan me for a new retainer simply because they did it that way. It made no sense why he did that. It was a waste of time and energy for me. They wasted so much of my time and energy, not to mention money. I left there in tears half the time.

I would not recommend a friends and family as that was the question on the survey. Last two visits I left feeling as if my teeth were unclean. The first visit I understand the covid restrictions were in place. The second time I called first to verify that there would be no restrictions on my cleaning or I would have just changed the appointment. I was assured there were none and that there was a new "young" hygienist ready to complete my service. I have to say my hackles raised a little at the Young comment as I would have preferred an older Tech to begin with if we're going to allow for choice as experience far exceeds youth. Especially in this case.... Dental hygienist could not, in my opinion, handle my sensitivity (no issue with the previous dental hygienist), and did not really attempt cleaning above my gum line where I have most of my issues, however did make product suggestions before I left. Their admin assist is excellent she listens she's funny and she does not BS around. I take issue with the dentist as I'm not sure if she's a little sensitive but any questions posed to her I received "tech support face" as if I should not be questioning her even though her hand is in my mouth and I'm paying for a service at her practice.

I was a skeptic. Dr…read more Moodt does not take insurance (but the office will bill them to see if they will reimburse for anything). I have had decades of jaw issues, TWO previous TMJ surgeries and was sure I was on my way to my third. My trusted general dentist reported many patients have success with him so I thought i would give him a try before going back under the knife. Enter Dr. Moodt. A very specific appliance, some specific TMJ therapy, and 9 months later and I am nearly "cured." Trigeminal nerve pain is gone. So glad I took the chance.

You WILL pay out of pocket and at the time of your appointment. 3. They do accept Care Credit and will provide you with the information re: applying for Care Credit if you so desire. Dr. M knows his stuff. He is a TMJ specialist for a reason; I've even heard him referred to as the TMJ guru. The man has done this stuff for years and you're not going to get this care from someone else. Trust me. I attempted a visit with another "TMJ Specialist". I called, I asked, does he do this type of service? Oh yes, I was told. $40 co-pay, a panoramic xRay later, and I was phoning Dr. M to schedule an appointment cause this "specialist" referred me to Dr. M too... Let me set the record straight. While you will pay out of pocket, the office WILL submit to your insurance companies. So you may be reimbursed if your insurance works with that, so all is not lost. Staff: Pleasant. Office: Dated. Clean. My complaint is they have plug-in air fresheners and I'm scent-sensitive so this sets my allergies off when I visit. They did remove it upon request though. Ease of Appointment Making - Very Easy. They make the appointment, mail you information prior to you going so you're prepared re: Care Credit, paying up front, and have all your information filled out so you're not doing that in the waiting room. If you need follow-up appointments they work with you to get the best time for your schedule. Bedside Manner - Fine. I was happy. Dr. M obviously has been doing this for a while & has his routine which worked for me. He gave me the amount of time I needed. He worked with me to get my bite guard adjusted comfortably (which took some time) and told me to call if I felt it wasn't working right. His language and explanations were fine and I didn't feel like he was talking down to me, or above me. All in all, I'd recommend the man. While I get why he doesn't do the insurance thing, I wish he would. But, regardless, he has my $$$, and I hopefully soon, will have less TMJ symptoms.

I asked why he chose to work for ClearChoice over a private firm and his answer was he wanted to fix as many smiles as he could. Working at ClearChoice gave him the opportunity to do that. The other dental facilities that I went to struggled in answering the questions that i asked. There was no hesitation when I asked a question to the Clearchoice team. Clearchoice are subject matter experts, they do this procedure every day and it's what they are great at. The process at Clearchoice was very easy. The first visit I met with Brian. He was prompt and on time to my appt. He walked me through the different stages and provided information on financing if I needed. I appreciate Brian giving me the pricing upfront on the first appointment. . I met with Dr Kessling, he explained what he could do to help me and answered all my off the wall questions. The next visit was with Wendy, she took measurements and scans of my mouth and teeth. She also explained everything in detail that would happen during the procedure and what after care would be like. Wendy made me feel so comfortable. Dr Kessling joined in and they started designing my new teeth. They asked a lot of questions on what I liked vs disliked and then helped pick a color. At this visit I schedule my appointment for a few weeks out. When I arrived the day or my appointment Janieka got me settled in the recovery room took vitals and gave information to my partner. She then took my back to the operating room, her and Jenny answered any lingering questions I had. Dr. Loparich came in went over everything I should feel during post opp. What I liked the most is she gave best\ worst case scenarios. Example numbness should go away at 48hrs but could last a week. She then did her magic on extracting and placing the implants. I woke up to Dr Kessling and Alina figuring out where the implant posts were and where to place the new teeth. Alina took me to the recovery room. She continuously checked on me through out the recovery process until it was time for her to put in the teeth. Alina has a wonderful bed side manner. She put my new implants in and was so careful to make sure she didn't hurt me in the process. Dr Kessling came in and made sure everything was lined up correctly and that my bite was correct. Shane did an amazing job in crafting my new teeth. They look so good! Better than what I thought they would look like. Thank you Dr Kessling\Dr. Loparich and staff for giving me my smile back! If you are looking to have your smile fixed please please please schedule a meeting with ClearChoice! Everyone who works at this particular facility are passionate about their jobs and want to help as many people as they can.
