I have been going to Dr. Petroff since 2005 when I first moved back to the Cleveland area. I had…read morenot had the benefit of good dentistry for a long, long, time, frankly because it didn't exist where I was living. After my initial exam, Dr. Petroff sat down with me and as gently as she could, gave me all the bad news. I was in shock but she told me we would start with the worst things and move on from there. She also said she would work wirh me on the financial aspect of all this bad news. Because I had no dental insurance she worked out a payment schedule I could manage which was great. Dr. Petroff and her amazing staff are the best that could have happened to me! 13 years later, my teeth ar SOOOO much better! A lot has been done but i have had complete trust in Dr. Petroff and she has never let me down. When my Mom was still alive, Dr. P could see that she had some dental issues but my Mom was 85 at the time so i worried about what should be done. I needn't have worried. Dr. P made a dental plan and then did her best to repare her existing dental work as much as possible to keep th price down for her but still provided the best care possible. She was so kind and gentle to Mom. She made her feel special. I would advise anyone who is taking care of an elderly relative, to bring them to Dr.P. She is also amazing with children! She has what I call the Amazing Dream Team to back her up. Denise at the front desk can work out any scheduling problem and she has the most incredible smile! Georgi is the most amazing hygenist I've ever been too. The rest of the Dream Team are truly the best, most caring people you could find in any dental office. I could not possibly recommend Dr. Petroff's Office more highly. For me, she and her Dream Team have made all the difference! They literally saved my smile.

The back tooth had been over filled into my sinus cavity causing issues for years that no one could figure out. Due to this situation, I ended up not only having to get that tooth removed by a specialist, but also having to get sinus surgery due to the damage caused by this situation. I'm still on the mends after almost a year, but assume the healing process may take time since I have been dealing with this for over 10-years. If it was not for Dr Patacca I may still be dealing with these issues. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism, as I learned dentist are not supposed to be handling certain procedures.

Then I tried to confirm with the 'son dentist' that he knew the safe protocol for Mercury/silver amalgam filling removal. He was clearly not thrilled at answering questions, let alone having to be there in the office - he slogged around the office slowly and kept loudly sighing - It'd have --- almost --- been funny if I hadn't needed him to fix my teeth... The dental dam was placed incorrectly. My mouth underneath it by the end was full of broken pieces of silver filling. He didn't cover my body or my face during it, they don't use oxygen to breathe instead of mercury vapor, it was just a mess of incompetence and this grudging attitude. A few months later I called and requested my records and X-rays be sent to a new dentist. For some reason the receptionist was nasty and I could tell she wasn't going to do it. I called many times, but they never sent them - so I had to once again have unnecessary xrays retaken. Every single review for this place was written by someone who has only written one or two reviews total. See that? That means those reviews are likely fake. Take care of your health.

The services I used include cleaning and multiple fillings. I must admit this is the first dentist where I have never had problems with the fillings years after the service was performed. I needed a veneer cemented back on. I told Dr James I had issues with numbing in the past. He put a…read moretopical numbing agent on a large q-tip inside my upper lip. When he came to inject me for pain, he injected into a different area than where he put the topical. He unnecessarily put me in pain multiple times during that visit. I kept telling him I was in pain and he was ignoring me. I had to stop him to tell him I was in pain. He gave me another shot under the upper lip and then a VERY PAINFUL shot behind my teeth. He never bothered to even try to numb that spot. The receptionist condescendingly called me "hun." Everyone speed talks and it has a chop-shop vibe. They are more interested in turning over chairs than the comfort of their patients. I will never go back there.
