I cannot say enough good things about Brian Yoder and his company, Buck Mountain Roofing.
Brian has redone two tile roofs for us; our first home when we moved back to AZ, and then the home we live in now. In everything he does, you can tell Brian not only knows roofs really well, but he takes pride in doing a great job and fixing anything that does not meet his standards.
Our current house has about half tile roof and half flat. When we bought the house, we had the tile portion completely redone as the original roofing materials were less than optimal. We also had the front flat areas resealed, but the back flat areas looked okay.
Well, today (Saturday) it rained after months of dry weather, and we walked into a puddle of water in the kitchen. I noticed water dripping from one of the recessed lights. I called Brian, not expecting to get him right away, as roofers are in huge demand right now across the Valley.
Brian answered and I told him what was going on. He told me he and his crew would be leaving tomorrow to do a job in New Mexico, but he would come out today to check it out. After his scheduled morning appointment, he came across town to our house and got on the roof, even though it was still raining a little. He found a crack in the foam and dried it as best as he could with a blower and added polyurethane. He also looked around all the flat roof portions for additional cracks and fixed a couple small places. He refused to take payment, even though this portion of the roof was not one he had repaired.
It started pouring really hard again about 2 hours after Brian had been here. Although there had not been enough time for the polyurethane to set, it did seem to hold as we did not get more water dripping in the kitchen. I cannot imagine how bad it would have been if Brian had not come out.
Bottom line: since 2009 we have had excellent service and quality roofing from Buck Mountain and Brian. I recommend them wholeheartedly. read more
