I had to settle for a measly bottle of Diet Coke, a very poor substitute for that giant plastic cup with bubbles dancing inside, and that wonderful condensation and glistening water droplets dancing down the outside! Last time I went, joy swelled in my heart to see the soda fountain up and running...but my joy turned to sadness when I started dispensing Diet Coke...which was, sadly, clear as Sprite. Sigh...had to settle once more for a boring old bottle. C'mon, Coen, my happiness is in your hands!!

I was surprised at how bright and clean everything was. I used the restroom, and it was also very clean. They have a sign outside the building that advertises their "famous chicken," and I looked at the food counter, and I decided to try a small piece and see if it is really as good as advertised (plus it also said it is GMO and hormone free). I ordered just one chicken tender (ordering is done at a touch-screen kiosk and then you get a printout to pay at the register, and then you get a ticket that you take to the food counter and then they serve you), and the price was $2.59. I think this is the first time in my life that I ordered gas station chicken, but you know what, it was actually pretty tasty, and it hit the spot for a little snack. Thanks Coen . . . I was actually surprised that I liked it . . . Cheers!

The people in the front of our large car said we were stopping for Stromboli. This did seemed odd for brunch but I didn't question it. We pulled up and waited until it was ready and drove away. The Stromboli was handed out to everyone. I was surprised to learn that it was a bunch of individual buns with meat and cheese jammed inside. It was better than even the hype could live up to. I mean it was glorious. I don't know much else about pre-gaming and tailgating in this part of the state. But I can tell you if you want to put some pep in your step and some eats in your stomach, you could do slot worse than Isaly's. oh and the pepperoni rolls were good too!
