Mozzarella sticks
Randa S.

We were in town visiting family and friends. Italian is always a go to for us. The restaurant is small and intimate, but very inviting. We managed to get in touch with them for a reservation of 6. We arrived 15 minutes early and our table was waiting for us. Our server was the owners daughter and she was super amazing. They do not serve liquor. Only beer and wine. This was the only reason I knocked off one star. The menu is not large. It has all your standard dishes. We had calamari and mozzarella cheese. Both very good. I ordered the manicotti and it was very good. Stuffed and smothered with lots of cheese. Very large portions and it included soup and salad. Great dinner and atmosphere. If we come back to Cleveland, we will visit again. My friends will return for sure.

Fettuccine Alfredo craving satisfied

Cannoli's

The quest for NEO best veal parmigiana took us to Bucci's. Located in a fairly generic strip plaza we visited on a Tuesday evening. We had a reservation (glad we did) and were seated immediately. Restaurant was close to full and they seemed to be doing a brisk take-out business. Bucci's is everything you look for in a neighborhood Italian restaurant. Food was very good...I had veal parmigiana, wife had veal marsala. Both were excellent. Portion size was huge with enough for a nice lunch the next day. Had calamari as app...also very good and a huge portion. Dinner came with solid bread and a nice green salad. Cannoli's for dessert and were delicious. Prices were extremely fair. Only beer and wine. Had a decent enough Chianti. Service was excellent...friendly, upbeat. Just seemed like nice/good people. Got the feeling family mostly staffed the place. Physical restaurant was just ok...seemed neat and clean, just nothing really special. Over, a really great experience...everything you could want in a neighborhood spot.

Italian food ? Too expensive. Save your money, go to Olive Garden, same meal and not so snobby service.

The interior and s small, so if you like quaint dining experiences make sure you book a reservation in advance. After a handful of visits, I love the mussels marinara, the flavor is outstanding, full of garlic and a spicy undertone make you want to drink the sauce. The lasagna is always a good choice and the clam linguine is runner up if the specials don't suit my taste. Made sure you always leave room for dessert, the lemon ice box cake is my favorite, but the array of seasonal sorbets are worth trying or sharing with the table. And...if you love d the meal send a round of shots back for the kitchen!

We made reservations for 7:30 and arrived right on time. We were seated and ordered cocktails which arrived in a timely fashion. At 7:45 the waiter asked us if we were ready to order. We had just gotten our drinks so we replied that we'd like to have a drink first. He replied with "well the kitchen will be closing soon." This was surprising to us since the hours posted had closing time at 9:30. We asked for more time and felt exceedingly rushed. We ended up ordering way sooner than we wanted and felt like we were being thrown out. If you want to close up early, don't allow reservations past a certain time.

I'm not truffle connoisseur, but decided to try something new. Based on our conversation with the chef who approached our table after dinner, he was dreaming of hosting this dinner forever. There was always something that came in the way until this decadent evening. I'll share my experience from the special dinner. AMBIENCE: Palazzo is like a gallery meets fine Italian restaurant. There are plenty sculptures including Michelangelo's David replica. Paintings of ballerinas reminding me of Degas. Walls of wine bottles, predominance of stone accents, and a small vase fountain transport you to Italy. Touches like backlights and wine bottle walls make the atmosphere romantic. The restaurant has multiple dining room spaces. There is also a wooden bar. There is also a covered patio. During our visit the restaurant was extremely crammed. The dinner was sold out. Tables were so close together that it was challenging to navigate between them. Guests had to move their tables to let someone pass through - other patrons or staff. I did not feel comfortable with these seating arrangements. The restaurant was very extremely loud. I couldn't sit comfortably without bumping my chair into other guests. I'm not sure how the dining layout looks like during regular days. Hopefully there is more room at the restaurant. The bathroom is in the basement, so not ADA accessible. The ceiling in the bathroom was awkwardly low. FOOD: Our dinner was 6 course experience for $125 (no tax, no gratuity, and no drinks included). First course (Antipasto) was Pera Sacchetti - Pasta Pillows, Pear, Formaggio,Truffle Cream Sauce, Fig Balsamic. Second course (Insalata) was Arugula - Black Truffle Oil & Shaved Parmesan. Third course (La Pasta) was Cheese Tortelloni & Sea Scallops - Shaved Fresh Truffle, Butter, Garlic. Fourth course was (Pesce Pan Seared Halibut) Black Truffle Cream Sauce & Roasted Rainbow Carrots. Fifth course (Mare e Monti) was Grilled Filet Mignon Medallion & Petite Butter Poached Lobster Tail Truffle Butter & Cauliflower Purée. Sixth course (Dolce) was Truffle Cream Filled Cannoli. Every course featured generous amount truffles and was very well crafted. I loved Mare e Monti, filet mignon and lobster were well prepared. While the courses were pretty petite, the dinner was filling. Considering the dinner menu, it was good value. Beyond the dinner, my friends really enjoyed wines. I ordered Prickly Pear mocktail ($10). It was okay, but not really flavorful. It was too ginger beer forward. It was pleasant to seem multiple mocktail options. SERVICE: It was wonderful that the chef personally greeted every table. I enjoyed learning about his story. It was a nice touch for him to speak with the guests. The rest of the service was average. The hostess was not very pleasant which set a bad first impression. Our waiter was fantastic but awkward. He kept taking away wine glasses and bringing back the same glasses. There was a lot of confusion with drink orders, and the wrong bill included the wine. Perhaps this was due to handling a large crowd. EVENTS: The restaurant is planning other upcoming events. For instance, Lenten dinner ($55) on Wednesday and Friday (February 18-April 2). PARKING: The restaurant has a very small parking lot with an incline. Arrive very early if you want to secure a spot. There is really no street parking nearby. You can park at the RTA bus station across the street. Parking experience is inconvenient. I'm conflicted on how to rate this restaurant. I enjoyed dinner, presentation, mood, and personal chef approach. I didn't like the table arrangements, service, and parking. If the service was warmer and less rushed, I would be all about this restaurant.
