The sauce they put on the burger is a little spicy but makes the entire sandwich while their bun is a little sweet and soft. I love everything about Buc-ee's and their endless supply of options to eat, drink, and snack on. I will say that I love how this location is very convenient stop while on the way to the beach. Believe me, if I could give zero stars I would. My wife and I stopped here to fill up and to get some food. We were going to share a brisket sandwich and a cinnamon roll. I went to get the cinnamon roll first. Was greeted by "Bob". Very nice, very pleasant employee. He heated up my roll, told me where to find silverware and napkins and told me to have a good night. THAT'S what I expect. Not just from Buc-ees but an establishment I go to. Friendly service. Sadly, that's where it ended. I went over to the meat case to get a brisket sandwich. I asked a manager, at least I think she was a manager. She conveniently had her name tag covered by a jacket. I asked her if she could cut my sandwich in half. She says "no, we can't do that due to health reasons". WHAT?? She goes....you know, you touch the sandwich and then we use our knives to cut it, it's not sanitary. I NEVER TOUCHED THE FREAKING SANDWICH, IT'S STILL IN YOUR MEAT CASE. The only people who've touched it were the employees and yet, a simple request that she wouldn't accommodate me on. I grabbed a sandwich, took one of their cheap plastic knives and attempted to cut it myself. I would have left without one but my wife was really in the mood for it so I cut it myself and moved on thinking that the bad experience was over. Sadly, I was mistaken. Enter "Miranda" the check-out cashier. I walked up to her and put my two items on the counter. I told her that they were separate orders. She never looked at me, not even once. She just stood there chewing gum. She scanned the sandwich, told me the total still looking down. I tapped my card and paid. She started to scan my second item and I said I needed a receipt. She went over to another register and printed one out. I told her "it would really be nice if you acknowledged the customer. You know, make them feel welcome to be shopping there" She scanned my 2nd item. I paid and walked out. NEVER have I ever dealt with such rude behavior from employees. I expected that kind of treatment when I lived in Florida but not in Alabama. Love's is about a mile down the road and with my loyalty app, gas would have been 11 cents CHEAPER per gallon. Get the app, it's totally free and you get 10 cents off per gallon all over the country. There restrooms are pretty clean also. I will NEVER go back to Buc-ees. A huge number of pumps, a vast offering of merchandise & food options inside the facility, a friendly & accommodating staff and some of the cleanest restrooms around; makes for a great place to stop along one's journey. Stopped off at this super convenient convenience store on the way back from the airport. Although I've been to a Buc-Ed's before, I'd never had a chance to actually peruse the store other than to grab quick snacks. This morning I browsed through their home decor which I wished I could have purchased everything! It had a Cracker Barrel vibe and smell as well. There was also a large selection of snacks. But since I came around breakfast I chose some bfast items. The burritos were lack luster, the beaver nuggets were sweet and delicious. Adding the Leeds (Birmingham) Buc-ees to my review. I'm on the road a lot and I have a diesel Jeep, so I become well acquainted with Buc-ee's in the southeast. I have noticed subtle differences depending on where you are. At this location there's a fried chicken sandwich offered and definitely a more Southern vibe to the merchandise. This place is massive. You should never have to wait on a pump. Once inside there are all sorts of things to buy from a soda to outdoor lawn equipment. The fudge is amazing. CROWDED. Guess I can't be surprised seeing it's a week before Christmas. Damn straight I got a beaver tee shirt - I never - NEVER - miss a chance to stop at a Bucee's, and this one-stop-shop outside of Birmingham was no exception!! It's tradition for me to get a shirt at any Bucee's I stop, so check! Apparently this is a pretty newly opened Bucee's, so just like all the rest, it was clean and lots of workers on the floor for the Friday afternoon when quick-pitted. Oh, and the restroom walls? An eclectic array of painting prints line the walls, a cool touch that make potty time a bit more enjoyable, haha! We stood at the counter waiting for an older white man to come get our order for fresh beef jerky. He ignored us. This place literally has everything! Everything you need AND everything you don't need but want. I've passed by this location many times clueless as to how massive it was. I passed it by thinking it was just some regular old gas station. I pulled over in amazement, they have what looked like over a hundred gas pumps on the outside. Inside your senses will be overwhelmed by all the sights, sounds, and smells hitting you all at once. My first time walking in I didn't know where to start first! There was everything a regular gas station would have and then some. I saw huge outdoor wood smokers, clothing, shoes, cookbooks, fresh jerky sold by the lb, bbq sandwiches, whole stuffed chickens, freshly made fudge, tacos, sausage, cooking supplies, wine, gifts, and that's not even the half of it. The bathrooms are the most immaculate I've ever seen in a gas station setting. I couldn't find a speck of dirtiness if I tried. Before I left I decided to try out the smoked brisket sandwich I'd heard so much about, along with a bag of chips, and a package of lemon pepper beef jerky. The sandwich was good, I've had better from an actual BBQ joint, but I can see how people would like it. It's a gas station! That's what I kept saying. How can it be that great? Well as I had to you really have to see it yourself. It is like a combination of gas station, souvenir shop, Cracker Barrel and BBQ restaurant. I'm not that interested in the kitsch stuff, but the food is legit. You smell the smoke as soon as you walk in. We tried the brisket, the Turkey, a hot dog and a pastrami Reuben. It was all legit! The bbq has a great smoke ring and flavor. Yelp won't allow me to give less than 1 star. Do NOT buy a Buc-ee's shot glass. I bought a shot glass and beer glass. The beer glass came out of the dishwasher fine, but the Buc-ee's logo and writing on the shot glass mostly washed off. The store refused to let me return it since it was not in the same shape as new! They don't have a sign that says the shot glass cannot go in the dishwasher. The shot glass was only $2.99 but what crummy customer service, or rather complete lack of customer service. Let me first start off by saying that this place is a gas station like no other. Honestly it's a super store gas station. I have been wanting to go here for a few months after hearing about this place from a friend. I had an idea of what it would be like, but my poor thoughts were blown away.
