Can't find anything even close in Chicagoland. Only complaint or recommendation would be to install tables so patrons/travelers can sit like human beings and enjoy a meal. I felt like a kid when I went to Buc-ee's today. And what a way to burn calories after we had eaten so much Thanksgiving food!! Ever since its doors were opened in mid March of 2024, visiting this store had been on my bucket list (LOL!!) And I'm embarrassed to admit: I was a Buc-ee's virgin till today!! It kind of reminded me of Murdoch's in a way (I really don't care if you agree with me or not!!) Buc-ee's has EVERYTHING. And the store was huge and clean as well. Hats off to all the employees who work hard to keep it so tidy and organized. Driving on I-25 northbound for 55 miles from my DTC house made my bottom so achy in the driver seat but it was worth the trip. Even my adult daughter enjoyed it. What impressed us were the different kinds of beef and turkey jerkys. They were all lined up beautifully and looked amazingly tasty. My daughter got the cherry maple and something else and the cherry maple was pretty tender and easy to chew (and it was delicious as well); if you visit the store you must check out the jerky section. I got me a branded shirt and PJ pants; both of them were reasonably priced. This is more than a gas station; you can find cute gifts as well. Well- being a PNW native who up and moved to the Great State of Texas, I've seen a fair share of Buc'ees but never one as far west as this one. I've heard rumors that it's the biggest one to date, but I think I'll have to disagree. Or at least it doesn't feel like it's bigger, but don't get me wrong... there's PLENTY to love at this Bucs! It is definitely huge and definitely offers all that Buc'ees provides, from a wide variety of snacks, drinks, to bakery items, candied toasted nuts, clothing from name apparel and their own, pet, sporting supplies, furniture, decor.... The list just goes on and on. And in true Buc'ees form, the people are extremely friendly. I've heard people try and complain about it not staying more southern, but I don't mind seeing the greatness that is Buc'ees branch out to the west. It's that great of a store!! Disneyland of gas stations! I actually don't mind the trip from CO to WY at all now because my husband knows we're stopping at Buc-ee's (sometimes both directions lol) Hear me out... the bathrooms are super clean, the people working there are borderline Chick-fil-a nice, and the snack/food selection is chef's kiss! This Isn't Just a Gas Station - It's a lifestyle. Buc-ee's isn't a pit stop, it's a destination. I stopped at one of their newest and largest locations, and I'm still kind of in awe. This place is massive. Like, "get lost between the jerky wall and the home décor section" massive. First off, it's immaculate. Seriously, the bathrooms are cleaner than most people's homes. Everything is spotless, well-organized, and somehow still runs smoothly despite the crowd. The variety is unreal, from fresh brisket sandwiches to an entire wall of snacks, drinks, and more types of beef jerky than I knew existed. And then there's the merchandise. It's not just t-shirts and keychains; it's a full-on store with everything from magnets to seasonal décor to Buc-ee's-themed onesies. Yes, really. Even if you don't need gas, you need to stop here at least once. It's Texas-sized in all the best ways, a weird, wonderful mix of convenience store, food court, and souvenir shop wrapped into one. This is a pretty great destination here in Colorado, a lot of buzz around the project and excitement when she finally opened. No waiting for a free gas pump. Not having to navigate around 18-wheelers. A lot of awesome souvenirs and snacks. I was a little skeptical about the barbecue buffet, but they run quite an impressive operation. I recommend the chopped brisket or the Philly cheesesteak burrito. We popped in to pick up an impromptu breakfast to have with our college student up in Fort Collins. We were able to get four Beast breakfast burritos, orange and grapefruit juice, puddings and even an Icee. As always, the restrooms were immaculate. The staff there is pleasant and welcoming. We found everything we needed and were on our way in no time. The beast burritos were just that. We all had half a burrito left over for another meal. The juices tasted fresh. I had not had grapefruit juice in some time and it was delicious. A worthy stop. read more

Hot TIPS: Remember where you parked - the sun is too intense to be walking the parking lot forever. If you go with a friend - MAKE a PLAN so you can reunite when you're ready! I'm giving it 5 stars even tho I did not get anything to drink because they did not carry coconut water. I mean, would you expect this place to?.. not really their thing probably so 5 stars for being their full selves and creating an interesting and engaging experience! Weirdly, I did NOT use the bathrooms nor did we get gas so.. not commenting on those! My friend and I had planned to stop there on the way to FoCo. We stopped on the way back on a full blown gorgeous fall Saturday afternoon and it was inSANE. It looked full before we pulled into the parking area but we figured people would be actively coming and going and that's what happened. We found a place to park and then promptly went inside the massive store. I literally felt like I was in some massive upstate New York grocery store or something with like home fire pits and stuff at the entrance. So we went inside, my friend beelined it to the bathrooms and um... we did not reunite for like over an hour. I hung out at the fudge station watching them make the fudge and also just looking at all the many MANY flavors of fudge!! I also hung out at the sandwich island watching them make the various types of sandwiches. I had already eaten but I got one to go! I also got a fudge with a caramel filling - days later I just finished it OMG it was SO GOOD!!! And I got a piece of rocky road fudge! I also picked up some jalapeño peanut brittle?! Sounded different and like a potential party pleaser. I then wandered the retail section that is on the left when you come in from the parking lot entrance. I perused every single home item! It was pretty fun. I saw lots of things that I ultimately decided not to get but had a great time perusing! After sweating in the hot sun forever because there is no place to sit down anywhere both inside and outside (strategic!) and my friend was MIA and not answering texts - I wandered back inside and hung out with the buc-ee's character with whom I'd photo opped with earlier while leaning on a stack of t-shirts hoping I wasn't minutes away from getting trafficked and dying for my friend to appear... obviously..made it home.. overall - it was a good time and I would do it again!!!! read more

If you like Walmart then you will love Buc-ees! The singing meat men and amazing Beaver nuggets will make your day. If you don't like the smell of old meat or the taste of burnt Carmel and do not sleep with your sister, this place may not be for you. Decided to make a little road trip to Buc-ees just for the fun of it. The parking lot is very well constructed, large and spacious. Not hard to find a parking spot and enough gas stations you don't have to wait. I was very impressed with the bathrooms, they were so clean and having the lights to let you know if they were occupied or not was awesome! They unfortunately were out of alot of smaller sizes in the clothes but I loved the Halloween shirt! We of course had to get the beaver onsie and few other items to remember our visit. We were excited to try the food, they did not have all the food options that were displayed and it was kind of a free for all getting food. They didn't take orders so no way to customize anything, they would make the food and put it under a warmer for you to then grab. We decided to get pulled pork and brisket sandwiches, funding the BBQ sauce was difficult and they come in very small portions. We did get some chips of the Buc-ees brand, they were so cheap and delicious. The Buc-ees brand soda was good too, with many unique flavors and those fountain drink prices were cheap too all under $1. We had to get the beaver Nuggets, those reminded me of cracker Jack's. For how much food they sell they had no where to sit, not inside nor outside. We sat in our car to eat before driving away. It's not the largest gas station I've been to but it was clean and well maintained. It made for a fun day but more of a one and done. I probably wouldn't come back because the crowds made me anxious. Somewhat of a novelty. I've been to one in San Antonio before, but guess the hype of this newer Buc-ee's hadn't worn off yet. You can get everything from Bucee pillows, coolers, famous BBQ brisket sandwiches, jerky, and we got the famous chocolate covered Bucee nugees for $2.99. Giant store with way more than your average gas station. Many food options. Especially loved the beef jerky bar. Guy there let us sample a lot and was nice. We went with the steakhouse one which was good. The bakery was nice as well. The peach muffin was pretty good. The brisket apparently is pretty good as well. Bathroom was huge and clean. The whole place was actually really clean and nice which was good. Also so many bucees branded and normal snacks. My spouse and I have been to Buc-ee's twice now. The first time we just stopped in for snacks and to see what all the fuss is about. The things we got to bring home were nice but we felt it was a little expensive so it took us a while to come back since we can't regularly spend a lot on fancy convenience store snacks. We returned a few days ago because it was very late and pretty much everything was close but we were hungry. We decided to try their sandwiches. I got a cranberry pecan chicken sandwich, which ended up making me sick due to large chunks of raw onion in it, with some of their Bucc-ee's chips (total rip-off: they charge $3 for them and I'd be fine with that 'cause it's house made kettle chips but they fill a cup that leaves about a quarter of the bag empty then they top it off so the bag looks full). My spouse got the big brisket sandwich which was so spicy he could barely eat it, which sucks after spending $14 on a sandwich and some of their factory made plain kettle chips which were very under salted. Our verdict: go for the snacks, don't get the sandwiches and the Buc-ee's chips under the heat lamps near the sandwiches are a rip-off. We'll be back once we feel like spending an arm and a leg for more snacks. read more

Well, there sure was a lot of hype when they opened Colorado's first Buc-ee's. About 40 minutes north of Denver, and just a bit south of Ft. Collins, this place is wild. It's like someone playing the Sims went and made a monster gas station as a joke. But it's real. Crazy. Not even sure how many pumps there are, but it appears to stretch for a couple of hundred yards. Inside, you find the biggest collection of chachkies and random items, paired up with a food court that serves up everything from house-made fudge to a beef jerky bar. It's nuts. My six year old grabbed an Icee for .99 cents and was over the moon. I took home a brick of fudge (to maintain my sweet dad bod). The prices are totally reasonable, despite being a bonified roadside attraction. Mad packed with people - like Costco on a Saturday - but totally worth a visit if you are anywhere in the area! read more

So I finally popped my Buc-ee's cherry this past weekend and I have no ragrets. The hour long car ride was worth the 1.5 hour experience there. My best friend and I were going to see a movie but then I realized a trip to Buc-ee's might be even better than any movie that is currently playing in theaters. Upon entering, around 8-9 PM-ish, there were a ton of guests getting their fix of snacks, brisket, jerky, fudge... you name it. We got some puddings, sandwiches, lemon bar, cinnamon rolls, drinks, and I can't even recall what else more... oh, t-shirts! I don't even know where to start. I had never been to a Buc-ees so I really didn't know what to expect, this place blew me away, here I thought it was just some gas station. They had about everything you could think of. Enbed up buying a sweater, shirt, christmas ornaments, magnet, and stuff animal, and want even trying could of didn't a lot more if I had more room in my suitcase. Decided to get some food as well, bbq brisket sandwich was better than most bbq restaurant oven been too, tender and moist with a great bbq sauce on top. OMGOODNESS! This place is so massive and ridiculously busy! I didn't count but they probably have close to 100 gas pumps. When I pulled in there was almost no parking. Once I got inside it was as a busy as an amusement park. I filled up with gas and grabbed some Buc-ee's swag (sweaters and keychains) then left. I didn't get the chance to try the food because I was in a bit of a hurry. Will definitely stop here next time I'm driving through. read more

We had our first and last visit to Buc-ee's today. It's just too far to go and out of the way to return anytime soon. We loved the open, clean, spacious, and well constructed bathrooms. Thank you for floor to ceiling walls. We didn't need gas but it was very inexpensive compared to what we paid earlier in the day There were tons of branded snacks to try, and the fudge was alright. I have been hearing about Bucees for months now. It was a huge thing on the local news and I absolutely wanted to check it out. This place is huge and far larger than I ever considered a gas station could be. It's like a Walmart and a gas station combined in one building. There are several hundred gas pumps and looking at them all is damn near incomprehensible. The food and drink choices inside are simply crazy. Bbq sandwiches, chocolates, jerky, nuts and most anything else you can think of. They even have a huge Icee station that offers a dozen or more flavor choices. You can also shop for clothes, trinkets, bathing suits and hundreds of other things. The place is simply incredible. The draw back? It's a freaking zoo in there. Hundreds of people shopping and taking photos. I could barely walk without being burned or bumping into someone. I didn't enjoy how crowded it was not the fifteen minute wait to check out. I parked 200 yards from the front door so it was a hike going in and leaving. It's super cool but too busy for me to enjoy myself. Your mileage may vary. read more

This place is amazing. My daughter wanted to stop here on our road trip so we did as it was on our route. We spent like 1.5 hours in here which went by quickly. I was fascinated by all that is in the store. It's supposed to be a truck stop for gas (which we did fill up our car with), but it is so much more. There are lots of Buc-ee's branded items throughout the store. There is a large food area in the center of the store where a group of employees are making their infamous brisket sandwiches and lots of other items, most of which would add many pounds to my frame! I did try their banana pudding but didn't think much of it. I also had a chopped brisket sandwich and love their BBQ sauce which is featured in several of the aforementioned sandwiches and am glad to have purchased a bottle to take home. Definitely my favorite item there. Lots of people eating their purchases in the parking lot tailgate style. We also purchased a few other things like a cone of warm candied almonds, beef jerky, a couple of bags of their famous Beaver Nuggets (sugared corn puffs), a beach ball, boxer shorts, and other items I am not sure why we even bought but seemed like a good idea at the time. It is Buc-ee's furthest Northern location according to the staff we spoke to. She also said it's their smallest in size which I found astonishing as it was very large. They always have the cleanest restrooms. You could easily spend a couple hours, and quite a bit of money, just wondering around. I tried their brisket sandwich. It's PACKED with tender, smoky meat that, even without pickles and onions, is very flavorful. The sauce is a little spicy, a little sweet, but tasty as well. It's hard to decide what to get because the selection is so varied. It's probably a good thing there's not one close by or I'd be there almost every day. read more

Really disappointed with Buc-ee's customer service. I bought a pair of pants and a dog outfit, and neither worked out. The dog outfit didn't fit, so I had to take the tags off to try it on--of course that left a little dog hair. The pants fit at first, but ripped in the back the same night I wore them. When I went to exchange both, I was told they couldn't take them back because they weren't in "perfect new condition." I wasn't trying to return worn-out items--just exchange things that were poor quality or didn't fit. It's frustrating that Buc-ee's doesn't stand behind its products or allow a fair exchange for obvious defects. read more

PIT STOP EMPORIUM!! Oh My Gosh! This place was HUGE and crowded and clean and packed with all kinds of groovy stuff!! Food, drinks, clothes, home decor, BBQ and kitchen items, kitschy stuff and Buccee Beaver to boot! Felt like Disneyland. I made a beeline for the bathrooms and was astounded by the enormous room of private stalls and cleanliness. Red light/green lights over each door helped to assist the travelers of an occupied or vacant stall. Thoughtful design! Interior of the stall was spacious with several rolls of TP so one cannot run out of paper! Honestly it's overwhelming how many people congregated around the food stands and their brisket chopping block and candy station and sooooo much more. Buc-ee's is a place you should visit: it is a new breed of gas/convenience store/mega mart/....I don't know what the fluck to call it. ....But you will be entertained...and well fed! Like others have mentioned it gets crazy busy so put on your best Zen and be patient. Legendary brisket, jerky, Beaver nuggets etc. Great bakery serving all kinds of treats. Service is still top notch with super friendly staff. Gas prices are really reasonable plus they have a good amount of EV stations.
