We literally ended up buying souvenirs, yummy dressy roasted and glazed pecans and cashews, Buc-ee's sportswear and a few other things. Yeah so this would also seem to be a bit of a tourist attraction for anyone visiting the area. It's bigger than any other gas station I've seen and isn't your normal pit stop. As a bonus their employees are really friendly and helpful. My son loves stopping here on our road-trips, he will plead with me to make the stop as soon as we hit the road. read more

Paraphrasing Ariana Grande... " I heard about it, I wanted to visit, I liked it, I bought stuff..." I heard it was a cool experience and it was. I tried it all. The tiny cookies, fudge, hot pepper sausages rolled in dough, slushees, and of course their meats. I even bought a to-go Buc-ee's coffee mug. (I tried all these items over many visits.- Just sayin.) Wow. Who knew you could enjoy an all-in-one experience at a gas station. So, if you are out-and-about and need gas or a quick snack or meal; this is your recommended place. Also. This is the second location I have visited. This place is amazing. They have so much food and merchandise it is hard to take it in. We stopped to gas up the car, there are no shortage of pumps, but it was very busy because everyone wants to come here and check it out. Inside making it through all the toys, clothes and other retail items we got to the food. They have a pretty wide variety of food and drinks available here. This place is HUGE, probably the size of a Target or a smaller Walmart and they have everything you can ever think of including clothing, travel stuff, hunting/fishing/camping supplies, lots of snacks, tons of souveniers and stuff for your house, and lots of stuff with the Buc-ees logo. I absolutely love Buc-ee's. If you need to stop for a break, gas, food, drink, clothing, or a charcuterie board they have it and you'll love it. I've had a the Buc-ee's club and it's great. Sorry for no pic as I was famished, but in it is turkey, ham, bacon, jalapeño Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a spicy-sweet mayo on a sweet dough bun. I added more pickles and the bbq sauce to make it extra messy. This sandwich sells out fast but the good news is if you wait a few minutes a full tray of fresh sammiches will be out. There is so much to see in this place and like others before me I describe it as a mix of Walmart, HomeGoods, Cracker Barrel and Wawa, and it just works. Strap yourself in! We went on a Sunday for the first time and it was a bit overwhelming for me. There were people everywhere!!! So if crowds are not your thing, pick a day that's not on the weekend. To say that Buc-ee's lives up to the hype is probably an understatement. I've really been wanting to visit Buc-ee's, but just haven't made it over there, until this past weekend! My husband planned a day for us as a family, and one of the stops included Buc-ee's. I was super excited. When we arrived, you're greeted with tons of gas pumps. Two sides worth, and you didn't have to wait in line to get gas or for an open pump, which is always a nice surprise. We parked, put on our masks, and upon entering, there were tons of smokers and firepits. We walked inside and the staff greeted everyone that came through the door "Welcome to Buc-ee's". We decided to look around first. This gas station is unlike any gas station you've probably ever visited. They had tons of bathing suit options for women, men, and kids. They also were brands known for quality (think surf brands). They had lots of flipflop options, sunglasses, pool and beach toys, a section dedicated to stuffed animals. Also, if you've been looking everywhere for an adult onesie that is a beaver....you can find that here, too. Now onto the food. The first thing I was on a mission for was the beaver nuggets. I'm not even sure what's inside them, but had to buy them. I then went to the nuts and fudge section and got some hot roasted cinnamon/sugar pecans (my favorite). They have a place to get sandwiches, tons of jerky, and pastries. They also have a DIY coffee bar (with tons of syrup and flavoring options). My husband made a b-line to the icees (for someone that is pretty particular and knows what he wants, he had a hard time making a decision with all the icee flavors). While I didn't walk away with an adult onesie of Buc-ee, I did leave with some pretty good snacks and a face mask of Buc-ee. Will I be back? You betcha. Pros: -So many things to see -Tons of food options (I wish I had gotten one of their famous brisket sandwiches...but this gives me an excuse to stop back) -Beaver nuggets are delicious Cons: -Things are a tad expensive (not everything, just some things) Tips: Come here when you have time to look around. I use to know only one big gas station like this at Live Oak Florida. Now Buc-ee's bring the big gas station experience to northern Florida. It has variety of goods and experience to the people who visited. The middle of the court has a sandwich assembly station. It is a show to see the employee cutting the brisket. You can order as slide, chop and more. We have it special packing and it was accommodated. The slide brisket sandwich is less than $6. Very affordable with good brisket. The store also has a food court, candy center, home goods, dress department, toy, sporting equipment and more. We saw an Alamo hat here. Wonder this is a Texas franchise. Buc-ee's is becoming an attraction to the people with gas station capability. It has a lot of gas pump which at least some gas pump available to customers. When I come to Florida, Buc-ee's is a MUST! This isn't just a gas station. It's an institution. When I first visited, I wasn't expecting how amazing it would be. A must get is the brisket sandwich. It's always made fresh, always perfect. Smoky, perfectly sauced, always a good eat. The puddings they make are exceptional too. Key Lime, Banana, Coconut Cream, and Chocolate. I personally love the banana and Key Lime. The gas is affordable too. Where you see prices about $3.89 for regular, Buc-ee's has it for about $.30 less. I have NOTHING bad to say about Buc-ee's. My husband is from Texas and he introduced me to Buc-ee's about four years ago during a road trip to Texas. He raved about it but it just seemed like a gas station to me. On a drive back to Jacksonville from Orlando, I passed two of them and decided to stop at the one in Saint Augustine as I needed gas anyway. I got there around the noon hour and the place was teeming with people. My husband loves the sliced link sandwiches and kolaches there. I decided to try the beef brisket sandwich, cheese puffs, and a beaver freezer. They also have seasoned nuts, quite the variety of fudge, tacos, sandwiches, wraps, sausages, jerky, tacos, cheap drinks, and icees. In addition to food, they have lots of apparel and random little gifts that you can buy. The strawberry mango beaver freeze was great! It tasted just as advertised and was made with real fruit. The brisket sandwich had good flavor but it could've used more sauce and I like my brisket much more tender than this one was. As a lover of cheese puffs, their version was legit! Buc-ee's is a good spot to stop at during a road trip but I can't really see myself going here just to get food or drink. Hands down this pit stop gas station is our favorite place to visit. We've came here on several occasions traveling the east coast to Florida. Our family is always greeted with clean restrooms, stalls ab's hand washing stations. Hand sanitizers are in every restroom stall along with toilet disinfectants for your seat. It's every germaphobes dream!! There are a whole lot of toilets, so u won't be waiting in line. The food at buc-ees having options for everyone. There is no way you would turn down their brisket bbq sandwiches! It is flavorful and their bbq sauce with the perfect meat keeps our tummies extremely satisfied. We finally made it out to Buc-ee's after multiple people raving about it... Buc-ee's didn't disappoint. It is actually quite fascinating that this gas station can fit in a bakery, BBQ restaurant, clothing store, and outdoor supply store! It makes you feel like you walked into a Walmart and Love's gas station! We ended up purchasing some swim shorts for our two year old, couple BBQ sandwiches, cinnamon roasted cashews,"Beaver chips", and "Beaver nuggets" while we were able to leave the store without going too crazy we were definitely eye balling the fire pits for the backyard ha ha. Buc-ee's is extremely busy and a popular destination for people traveling through the area. It is kept clean and tidy. There are a lot of employees around if you need assistance. Items here can be a bit pricey. We got some BBQ items such as the sliced brisket sandwich and the friend chicken sandwich. The fried chicken sandwich was definitely my favorite. In the words of the great 20th century philosopher, Dominic "Dom" Toretto, "Words ain't even been invented yet" but I'll give it a shot. Imagine a Cracker Barrel, a Wal-Mart, and a Circle K had an illicit tryst. From that torrid affair, Buc-ee's was born, brought forth into this world waving American flags and screaming 'MURICA!!! when the doctor slapped its bottom. I picked up a few signature Buc-ee's items such as Beaver Nuggets, a couple of selections from their wide array of beef jerky, some chocolate chunk cookies, and a couple of BBQ brisket sandwiches; one sliced and one chipped. The sandwiches were fine, though I would recommend the chipped over the sliced. The sauce was a spicy/sweet concoction. It's certainly doesn't compare to the many local BBQ joints in town, but if you're on a road trip and couldn't stand another trip around the drive-through, Buc-ee's is a better alternative. Buc-ee's has finally set up roots in the Sunshine State. I first discovered this Texas staple when they opened a location in Robertsdale, Alabama just off of Interstate 10 between Pensacola, Florida and Mobile, Alabama and was immediately a fan. Growing up in New Jersey, we had Wawa, but Buc-ee's takes the belief that everything is "bigger in Texas" and builds their stations with that belief firmly in their hearts. The Buc-ee's in Saint Augustine is just off of Interstate 95 and located near World Golf Village is over 52,000 square feet and has over a hundred fuel islands. Within the enormous building you can buy the usual touristy type stuff and convenience store items, smokers and grills, barbecue, kolaches (a sausage stuffed in pastry that is very popular in Texas), beef jerky (I am a fan of their ghost pepper jerky), Buc-ee's apparel and much more. Service is extremely friendly, professional and prompt. They have multiple cash registers to get you in and out in a quick manner. I also found it humorous when I seen the signs on the way out that said something like if your dog did his duty, do your duty and pick it up. A humorous reminder to clean up after your dog. This is an incredible addition to this strip of Interstate 95 and a second Buc-ee's location just opened in Holly Hill, Florida (the small town just North of Daytona Beach). I am guessing soon Buc-ee's will be adding more locations to Florida. Yes, I definitely recommend this location. If you are traveling, it is a good place to get out and stretch your legs and get an item or two. By the way, the bathrooms are immaculate here. Plus, like Buc-ee's in general, huge. This place is phenomenal! I enjoyed looking around at everything. There were so many people here, we did have a hard time finding a parking spot. I did get a little claustrophobic because people were going every which way. I did not get the banana bread and brisket sandwiches that I wanted. I saw a short check out line and ran with my souvenirs and checked out fast. I will most certainly stop by another time, but not on a Saturday. Period! I've never been to a Bucky's before but talk about having shock of a location when you walk in! It's amazing that for the size of this place they have a strict no 18 wheeler policy. The store is literally the size of a small Publix. Been more gas pumps that I could even count. The fountain drink selection looks like it had one of every fountain drink known to man. The breakfast food that they were serving smells delicious. The bathroom here was like walking into some sort of locker room or dressing room except there was just about 100 toilets and the men's room and for how busy they were that bathroom was shockingly clean. Even the tile guys did a good job whining the tile up in the corner. Staff was all over the place and very attentive. I was able to get in and out very quickly. Make sure you schedule more time than just the bathroom stop. The store is huge! it was a sign that said 20 foot of beef jerky I didn't even look around to find what a 20-ft row of beef jerky looks like.the food I saw coming out here definitely looks better and smells better than the Wawa counters. Buc-ee's could definitely replace the high-end gas station market real quick however it doesn't appear that they go after the corner store market. read more

Wow, this isn't just any 100+ pump gas station... it's like Stuckey's and Cracker Barrel had a kid and it's on steroids. A jerky bar, hot bar, gift shoppe, barbecue, just to name a few. We stopped in just to get a look, didn't really need anything, but ended up spending almost $60 on snacks and a cool coffee mug. Their bucees animal crackers are a must have. They taste like trefoil Girl Scout cookies with sprinkles baked inside. They also have a hot apple pie, that looks like a McDonald's apple pie, only it's wayyyyy better... cinnamon sugar on the outside of pastry with cinnamon coated apples on the inside. AMAZING! This place has it all. I went to the location in Daytona while on my way to Orlando and I was blown away. Talk about getting mind blown with the cutest beaver mascot and shirts and baked goods, candies, even real acquired taste delicacies like pickled eggs. Southern decor charm at its best. Old fashioned taffies and candies. I could go on and on. The bathrooms were super huge and super clean. There was a bakery and sandwich counter with breakfast muffins to beef brisket sandwiches. Who knew a gas station could be an experience! We finally made it in- my other half was ditched a couple weeks ago (while I was out of town), when his sister and brother-in-law went without him. They bragged about how huge and amazing it was & sis used to live in Texas! She already knew! Today we were heading down to St Augustine with the kids and they were bewildered that we wanted to stop in at this new gas station. Until we saw it. Until we entered through the front door. Until we made our way around every corner of the store!!! Seriously- we left in awe. I felt like rolling down the windows as we passed other gas stations and yelling for the customers to go to Buc-ee's! My daughter left with an assortment of items and I got gifts (I know- who knew) for my kids. So what can you expect? More gas pumps than you've ever seen. Fire pits, bar-b-q grills, smokers too. Buc-ee's brand beach, tailgating, camping gear, cups, hats, t-shirts and more! More gas station snackage than you could possibly imagine! Plus the hot food! BBQ doesn't cover it! And a bakery, a fudge center, walls of Jerky! And then- home decor, gifts, clothing and apparel, kids clothing, toys, camping gear, fishing gear and simply more. A bomb brisket sandwich from a gas station? 100+ pumps? Gift shop where you can get a full beaver costume? What da heck kind of place is this??? I didn't want to believe the hype, but something about an Instagram photo showing a delicious charcuterie board made with Buc-ee's items I raised an eyebrow. I had to go check it out so I asked my mother if she'd like to join me in my little excursion to World Golf Village and she agreed. We hadn't been out together since before the pandemic so this meant a lot. We got there and it was mad busy! Luckily I found a parking spot in the front and we went in. Food to the left and food to the right. Way down on one end we could see their gift shop area so we headed there first. I found some inspiring socks and a manatee keychain. They did carry some official Disney items but nothing I was interested in. I grabbed some jerky from the jerky wall for my babe, skipped over the fudge, and did not miss the brisket sandwiches. They smelled amazing and people were snatching the up quick. We walked over to the other end which was the convenience side and saw jams, jellies, and salsas of all heat levels. Mom grabbed some pumpkin seeds and maybe some chocolate covered nuts. That made her happy. We checked out to some very perky employees and left. Never has a topic divided the residents of St. John's County like the arrival of Buc-ee's and it's 104 gas pumps. People were either jumping for joy or raging mad. There was no in between. Buc-ee's... is a phenomenon unto itself. It's not quite a gas station, and it's not quite a convenience store. It is definitely, 100% NOT a truck stop: there are zero facilities for 18-wheelers, and the signage leading to the entrance makes that perfectly clear. Gas prices are the lowest around. I still don't know how to describe it. Once you navigate the lot and the fuel bays, you enter a gigantic store full of.... everything you didn't know you needed. Sure, you can get your typical road trip fare, but you can also choose from Buc-ee's line of snacks, and jerky, and salsas, sauces, spices, and rubs (Get the raspberry chipotle salsa. Trust). You can get fishing gear, camping gear, bathing suits. There is an entire department of beaver-logo'd clothing and toys. Do we have branded running shorts, bathing suit, blankets, hats and soft-sided cooler? You bet we do! Need a last minute housewarming gift? They have cheese boards, and candles, and all sorts of (actually cute) tchotchkes and decor. And then there is the food. Buc-ee's supplies fresh made breakfast sandwiches and BBQ too grab and go. Where has Buc-Ee's been all my life? How do we not have one anywhere near where I live?! Buc-ee's has everything you can imagine. The best way I can think to describe this place is it's a super convenience store. But that doesn't even come close. It's gas station meets food court, meets snack bar, meets the American food dream. You will find everything you need plus a lot of what you don't need but want when you go to Buc-Ee's. Make sure you get the Buc-ee snack mix and beaver nuggets. You will not regret it. You can get a variety of sandwiches (freshly made), biscuits, snacks (from fruit to cheese and salami and more). The customer service was outstanding-employees were available to help and were very friendly. I don't know who came up with this idea, but they may very well be the next billionaire.
