Bubbys was my favorite bagel shop of all time. Even when it was slammed everyone had a smile on their face. However once it sold, they changed everything. It used to be that when you'd get your order they would call out your name like an old friend, now you are just a number. Before, the bagels were made with love and care and a smile. Now, it's rushed, careless and they are bought this business just to turn a profit. I am beyond annoyed with what Bubby's has turned into. Please please please, bring it back to its former glory. OMG!!! Dover needed this place! The bagels are just the right blend of chewy and flavorful. The location is a little awkward neat to the train platform, but the folks inside were great- funny and listening to some great tunes. Had the Everything Bagel with Veggie Cream Cheese and I could have probably eaten three they were so good. I'd have taken a pic, but no way it was gonna last that long. Ordered a toasted bagel with spread. took almost 20 minutes. (not busy at the time) the person who came after me and ordered two full sandwiches got their food first. i watched the main guy at the register touch his face constantly, removed his mask more than once for seemingly no reason (plus it was just a scarf.) Also watched him be super short with two customers for no reason. Generally a mediocre vibe all round. my toasted bagel came warm and not toasted. no bag. just slid at me with a 'here ya go'. i won't be back. i don't think any of these things had to do with covid. it was a slow sunday mid morning. Wow! I just ate the perfect bagel sandwich. Fresh Asiago bagel, so soft on the inside, egg perfectly cooked (not overcooked), sausage patty that perfectly fits the bagel and not greasy, and delicious Swiss cheese. Coffee is delicious (and I am very fussy) and grabbed a couple of baked goods while I was there. Owner and staff are VERY friendly, wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Very clean, easy to park, easily accessible to commuters as well as non commuters. I have a new favorite! They are definitely a must try! read more

i want to eat a bucket of this rugelach. they make it in house and sell the ends for cheaper (caramelized! phenomenal)! my bagel sandwich was delicious too, but maybe a little pricey at $14. I asked specifically for the bagel, but maybe they usually put lunch sandwiches on a hoagie or something? GREAT BAGELS!! Where I grew up Sunday mornings were dedicated to the Sunday paper, coffee, bagels, and schmear. (and onion rolls - another quest) It was disappointing to move here and not be able to find a decent bagel and forget about a good deli cream cheese. Then came Bubby's!! They have a great selection of bagels and I love all the fresh new ideas for compound cream cheese!! Since I have a drive to get there, I use their call-ahead service. It's perfect. I can tell them the time and it will be ready to go upon my arrival. Now, I just have to make it there for lunch on a day when they've got those amazing roast beef sandwiches. Great food! They're always consistently good!!! When I'm craving a breakfast sandwich this is our go to spot. The Lox sandwich and Smoky Fin are my faves, always on a Portuguese sweet bread. So far they seem to be the only ones to carry it. My daughter loves their bagels as well. read more

I wanted to give this place a shot as they profess their bagels and coffee are "the best" in a seemingly endless drone of social media posts - but for my taste they are not! The bagel was dry and the coffee was gas-station-pump-it-yourself quality, with service being heavy on the ego. Not much here for me to come back to. I hear this place was awesome in Portsmouth once, maybe it will be some day again, but they've got to shake off the train station vibe. read more
