Back in the day there was a pretty cool bagel shop called JBs. Then a new owner bought it and renamed it KBs and it's gone downhill ever since. The place is poorly managed. Occasionally you get a decent hard working employee to help you but the odds are against you. In the summer it gets worse. Clueless tourists mixed with a poorly thought out layout make for mayhem. The bagels are mediocre and definitely NOT made on site. I might return after tourist season but only because of its proximity to the beach. read more

The young female cashier was very friendly, was super willing to help and give recommendations. However, I asked for half a dozen bagels, and I received 5. Which I'm sure was an honest mistake but I was really looking forward to trying the French toast bagel ! This was my first time here so could've been me not specifying the type of meat, but I tried to order a deluxe breakfast sandwich with cream cheese added, to which the cashier recommended I just get the Nor'easter so I did. The sandwich I received didn't have any meat on it so I figured I agreed to the wrong item, but both the deluxe and not'easter come with meat... again I didn't specify a type so maybe my fault. It seems like the place is popular among locals, definitely gives the old/dark been-there-forever homey vibe, I liked the selection of iced coffees and self serve syrups (no extra cost)/creamer. The bagels are MASSIVE too! Will probably try KB's again due to the amazing location, but I also saw them taking bagels out of plastic bag so I'm sorta confused if they actually are fresh baked but they were good nevertheless! I'm only going for a four star rating for this well known local bagel shop. Great location, super friendly staff, open year round with the beachfront right around the corner. Bagels are fresh and several kinds of cream cheese flavors to choose from. I love the breakfast plates and prices are very reasonable. They have great coffee as well. My only complaint is their Açaí Bowls. This isn't the first time I've had this happen. Skimpy bowls!! I wouldn't recommend getting a bowl with granola as you'll be paying $10+ dollars for basically only granola with your choice of fruit topping. It seems they're putting the bare minimum of açaí in their bowls. Which is a shame. Their bowls were perfect! I'm sure I'm not the only customer this has happened to. I'm sorry to say I will be going elsewhere for my Açaí Bowls. I hope to hear better updates and reviews in the future. I do enjoy KB's read more

I really enjoyed their hot coffee and cold brew. I had both black and they each had a very nice taste and aroma. I also like how this place is tucked away from the main strip downtown, and provides outdoor picnic tables to enjoy breakfast on. I got a sausage egg and cheese on a bagel. The bagel wasn't great - was dry and had no flavor. I'd definitely try this place again with the hopes that it was a one-time bagel mishap. read more

My go to place to get a delicious, fresh breakfast sandwich. The staff is very friendly. Coffee/iced coffee is very good and strong. Breakfast sandwiches on bagels are HUGE. Sometimes I get a wrap instead so that I have some room for one of their delicious smoothies. Acai bowls from here are also very good. And staff is very friendly! This place used to be awesome when it was JB's. Now it should be avoided. The coffee (all sizes) is served in Styrofoam cups, you serve your own, and all of the java is pre-made and just sitting out in thermos. The baked goods aren't made in house. As we walked out, one of our group said "I have to be honest, that wasn't very good. Another said "you guys just didn't get the right thing." I closed with "let's star with they didn't give me what I ordered!!" Was really looking forward to the Chi Chi, but instead just got sausage eggs and cheese. Pretty average breakfast sandwich place. Eggs are thick, meat was pretty tasteless, bagels are good but they were out of almost everything when we got there. I was...underwhelmed. The shop breaks up ordering by section, but if you try to mix and match what you get (say a bagel AND a beverage) then you have to wait in two different lines to order each item. And then you have to go to yet another line to wait to cash out. If there were steady coverage of each of the stations, maybe it could work but it was hard tracking people down for each counter to order. The bagel was basic, the iced tea was literally boiled tea bags then poured over ice. This, of course, melted immediately and made it so that I was essentially drinking a water with a random tea bag inside of it. Inside is also just plain grimy. Located close to the beach house we are currently staying at for a week. It's always best to come here early, maybe around when they open, as it can get very crowded sometimes. Oddly enough, I tried to get a cold brew in a large cup, but they told me the maximum size for a cold brew was a medium, but that was ok with me. It tasted pretty good. I have an intense Love/Hate relationship with this place. Love: they have a huge selection of delicious bagels and a wide variety of toppings and choices of bfast sandwiches. Owners: splurge a bit and buy a second and third toaster...you're feeding an over populated summer town! Love: their coffee! Grabbing a coffee and a bagel and sitting on the beach is a dream...any season! Hate: the inside. Bottom line, it's sleezy. There are nasty couches and a few tables...don't plan on eating there. The walls are filled with photographs of locals...? It's weird. There are surfing magazines strewn throughout the place...which would be cute if they weren't from 2004. Lastly, their set up is poorly thought out. There's a coffee line, a bagel line, and a line to pay...but there's no direction. It's a mess. Complete love/hate relationship. I love this place so much. Tucked away on Kings Highway, a street behind Ocean Blvd, this is a local's favorite. They offer bagels, egg sandwiches, lunch wraps, coffee, pastries, smoothies and ice cream in the summer. I am completely obsessed with their new addition, "The Townie Plate", which is a plate of scrambled eggs topped with tomatoes, red onion, guacamole, jalapeños and choice of meat. I also love the mudslide ice coffees. If you like bagels you will love Kbs. I love the many options for spread, including a variety of house made cream cheeses, cinnamon sugar, almond butter, and hummus. They even have pizza bagels! In the summer we love taking our breakfast for a short walk up the street to sit on the wall and look at the waves. Great spot! read more

Girls were extremely rude and seemed like they hated the fact they had to be working. Not a single one of them was wearing masks even the girl who was delivering food to everyone outside. The girls even yelled at me and said "can you stand on the tape it's 6ft apart for a reason." But yet were not wearing masks while all of their customers were? Very hypocritical. This is a beach and coffee lover's paradise. It's a 2 minute walk from Hampton Beach. They make all of their bagels in house and they have a huge array of creative coffee flavors. The interior is cozy and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. This is the perfect place to come to fuel up before an intense surf session! read more

We have been here a few times. Usually they are pretty good (around 4-5 stars) but recently the bagels just haven't been that good. They are a bit rubbery as if not too fresh.
