Teriyaki chicken was juicy, rice was fluffy, and the sauce has just a perfect hint of heat. So good. Food was excellent. I had the Banh Mi pork sandwich which was full of great flavor and fresh ingredients. My only downside was the amount of fresh vegetable and meat; they could definitely put more ingredient in the sandwich. My girlfriend said the ramen soup was really flavorful, the chicken was well cooked and overall the taste was amazing! She says usually when she wants good ramen, she drives to Charlotte from Morganton, so finding this place was awesome! They also have burger there which was really good because I don't eat ramen. The environment was very chill and the people were friendly, it's become one of our favorite date night spots! We also celebrated my gf's bday there and they were super accommodating and stayed open an extra few hours for our party of 10! This is a fun place to go if you have a bunch of time. When I went I took some of the youth group kids and the service was okay. Nothing to brag about but not bad. The food took a good 20-25 minutes to arrive, yet it was good and hot! The only bad side of this place is the music. Like I mentioned, I took the youth group kids here for a fun time. The music they had playing was very explicit (not the radio version). I would have to make myself louder at points just to keep them from hearing loud F, S, and GD cuss words. I just visited Bubbly's earlier today and I HAD to make an update. I unfortunately didn't have time to order any food, but I did order bubble tea once again. I got the golden milk tea and it was delicious. The tea itself was great but the boba was the best part. I remember the boba being awesome last time too. Also, my drink came out pretty fast, despite them being a little busy. The staff was really nice as well. And overall I think this restaurant is super cute. While I was there, I saw on the menu that they served Bahn mi fries and pho fries. I really wish I had the time to order food, because those both sound amazing. And just looking at the photos, I can tell the food is good. Plus the reviews are great too. I will most def be stopping by there at some point to pick up some food to go. I was craving a Banh-Mi sandwich like the ones I've had in the past, and the bread and veggies came close but, sadly there were barely any pickled vegetables. Pineapple burger was alright and fries were delightful. I went to get ketchup and the ketchup tub and pump were gross. Surfaces were all gross with food particles on tables everywhere. Bubblys is always a hit or miss. My wife and I do enjoy coming here especially since someone we know used to own the restaurant but we only come for the drinks and occasionally the Bahn Mi sandwiches. Regardless, Bubblys is a good grab-n-go joint and maybe even a fun last minute date idea because of the cute decor. The food is decent but as someone who has been going to this place for awhile, the food isn't consistent. But if you are trying to get into asian foods, this place is a really friendly transition as their food is a mix of asian and american fusion. read more

So I've been here before and didn't realize it until I came back. First time I remember ordering Kimchi fries and we didn't like it. This time we ordered Thai sweet chili and Spicy Tiger wings (Laab wings) and the Laab wings were awesome! Perfectly crispy with the lemony Laab flavor with onion and cilantro. The sweet chili was good but I was more into the Laab wings. Also ordered the Teriyaki bowl which wasn't anything special, good but I'd say normal. Now what I'm most excited to share with y'all. I got the Pho burger with a fried egg added to it and man I tell you that whole thing was delicious. I was skeptical and curious bc Pho as a burger? Like how? But I was very impressed with how they captured the Pho taste and smell into a burger. It was so good I almost ordered another one on the spot. Definitely will be coming back when I'm in the area for the Pho burger again! And also the many other interesting items they have. Walking into this place and it's immediately so cute! They put so much effort into their design and I love how intentional it is. They have this adorable wall with a glowing pink sign that reads Bubbly's--and you can't help but take a picture with it I ordered a mango-coconut smoothie with boba because that's exactly why I walked in this place! So the boba was really well done! Not overwhelming with ice, not overly sweet, and the boba was cooked to perfection. I also ordered the carne asada fries, which was a little disappointing. There was hardly any meat, the fries were all soft and waaaaaay too much salsa. Really want to give them a 5 for the hobos, but have to knock it down a few because of the fries. Such a cute inside and friendly staff to start the second we walked in. The menu had awesome options from wings, to rice bowls, to even ramen (served only on specific days of the week)! Let's not forget the bubble tea options as well!! The taro flavor was just what I was looking for and the ramen hit the spot in such a cold day! Absolutely loveee Bubblys! As a local in hickory, this is the ONLY place that has amazing boba. As a boba tea enthusiast, the boba is cooked perfectly, never over cooked or under cooked. The milk teas actually taste like tea and the blended boba drinks are still a hit, as well. Flavors are so delicious and satisfying! Haven't had a chance to try their food in a really long time but once I get the chance I know it'll be well worth it. I saw one go around and collect the cleaner trays to reuse - yuck. The food was okay, but maybe it was the manager's day off or they lacked enough - more than like 6 employees - to keep it clean. We tried it out because of all the good reviews. We ordered a burger, carne asada fries and a teriyaki chicken bowl with rice. The burger was good but not amazing but the carne asada fries were great, very good. The low point of the order was the teriyaki chicken bowl, it was very reminiscent of an microwaveable meal from a grocery store, rice tasted cheap and chicken was bland. Carne asada fries were the real star here. I will probably go back and try so other options to see how they fare and I'll update my review if needed then. read more

When I first heard that this place opened up I was so excited. Hickory doesn't offer a diverse amount of cuisine so to have this type of food served here is a blessing in the first place. My first impression : interesting concept, interesting choices on menu, large space (includes patio) and friendly staff. I ordered (for 2 ppl) - pork banh mi sandwich, bbq bacon burger, kimchee fries and avocado bubble tea. 1. Pork Banh mi - Larger in size than your ordinary banh mi sandwiches. Great for a hungry person. All the ingredients on point - the meat is juicy, sautéed style. Different from the traditional but relative to the concept of "quick" food. 2. Bbq bacon burger - tasted awesome! Only issue is the small bun. I think if the bun was toasted it would have brought an extra bonus to the already awesome burger. 3. Kimchee fries - wouldn't change the ingredients! Just wanted crispier fries. The fries were a little soggy. Seriously still can't get over little ole Hickory being introduced to KIMCHEE!!! 4. Avocado bubble tea - seriously been to NYC and back and couldn't find this flavor. So glad I found another place in Hickory (besides pho 777) that offers my favorite flavor. Very blended and sweetened to perfection! If anything I think this place has the potential to be the next big thing in Hickory. It's in a prime location located near the movie theater and mall.
