I've been several times to see my stylist there and everytime i've had to over hear--while i'm getting my hair done--about some drama or nonsense that she is carrying on in front of the customers. She has a lot of skill when it comes to highlighting so if you are very particular about highlights she does perfection. Great location, good prices, and I LOVE my stylist, Deanna. She always gets my hair looking fresh to death! The staff is nice and very polite. If I make an appointment, I hardly ever wait longer than a few minutes. My daughter (7 yo) gets her hair cut there too, and they do a great job! I would recommend this salon and my stylist to anyone. Came in for a men's cut. $35 for basically the same level that the Hair Cuttery does at $15. Also, they tried to sell me some hair products during my cut which are way overpriced. You're not paying for quality, you're paying for location as this place is in a very tidy shopping area. read more

I just got the worst cut of my life and at 61 that is a feat! New salon at Stonebridge in Woodbridge- I had an appointment asking specifically for someone good with short hair and I brought a picture. I would have been better off at the dog groomer! Totally uneven- cut so high on the back of my neck it hurts- sides look like 2 different haircuts- bangs are a "chop shop"- I am embarrassed to go out. Shela did not want to be there and it shows all over my head. Bright side- at $35 I got my monies worth- I won't need another cut for 6 months. I WILL NOT BE BACK! read more

Updated review - went in to see Haley to fix the hack job performed by Rosa the day before. Haley was great and gave me exactly what I wanted. The second cut was on the house and I even walked away with a fun little goodie bag. I'll definitely be back to see Haley - but still avoid Rosa!!! read more

Today was my first time going to Bubbles and I must say I had a great experience! From the greeting at the door, to the hair care done by Lucy, it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend Lucy to anyone as she is kind, listens to what you want, and takes her time with her clients. I'll be back again! read more

I've been going to bubbles since I was in middle school, I was excited they opened this new location but my experiences there were truly horrific and traumatizing. A lot of the girls there are fresh out of hair school and I didn't like their work so I tried with the head hair cutter, the manager of the store, Chrissy and she was totally rude, rushed me because she wanted to go home asap for new years, she burned my scalp with a flat iron (who uses a flat iron on foil highlights just to speed up the process instead of putting me under the dryer?), she did a half a** job yet charged me for full highlights just for 8 foil highlights that you couldn't even see. Never see Chrissy. She'll easily work with african american hair, as for the rest she will burn and torture your hair. She forgets to turn the heat down after working with african american hair. Worst hair experience and poor customer service. For doing a poor job on my hair it was pricey, not worth it. She really put me through a lot of stress and pain from burning my scalp and having to get it fixed. She is ghetto and unprofessional. This happened around the time they first opened and I will never go back or refer a friend. read more

I am a very particular customer when it comes to my hair. Tonight I got 3 inches cut off my hair and the cut is fantastic. I was a bit anxious, but Donnee did a fabulous job! She gave me a color touch up and a new style cut and now my hair has added bounce and shine. My hair is natural curly, so it takes a lot to straighten it. She gave me the best cut ever.... really!! She has a professional but fun attitude and I am so glad she is my stylist!! read more

Haley "fixed" my hair after a horrible experience at a different salon (not a Bubbles). She added "warmth" back into my hair that had been highlighted/lowlighted to a very "cool" almost gray color. I decided to try a new hair salon since the one I had been going to was not doing a great job. I had heard that Bubbles was a great place to go and was enthusiastic to try somewhere new with my hair. I walked in, since walks "are welcome" and was greeted with a receptionist who was annoyed that I did not have an appointment. She told me that I needed to make an appointment, so I scheduled one for later that day. When I came back for my appointment, I saw two or three hair stylists sitting around and ended up waiting for an additional 20 minutes. The receptionist came to me and said that my hairstylist would be a few more minutes and offered to wash my hair. When we got back to the sinks, she offered to give me a deep root conditioning since my stylist would be taking longer. She then went to check the front desk and left me there for an additional 15 minutes, where I did not receive the conditioning. By the time she came back the stylist was ready for me and I did not even get the conditioning. To top it off, the stylist did not speak english well, and did not style my hair. Instead of giving me what I wanted, she trimmed my hair and tried to talk to me but just made it awkward, since she could not really understand me. I was disappointed that I still can not find a great hair place to go and will never go back there, especially since I have a friend who had a bad experience at another Bubbles in the area. read more

I arrived today at 9:55am for a 10:00am appointment. The store did not open until 10am, but I figured arriving 5 minutes early would be fine. Unfortunately, the front doors were locked as I tried to entered. Two employees were visible inside doing their hair / makeup and replied, "un un...not yet". So I sat on the white bench directly in front of the salon (35 degrees and windy) for 2-3 minutes hoping they would show me some mercy...NONE. I never write reviews but I'm so disappointed in one of the hairdressers at bubbles salon. I had an appointment with Aki for a cut, partial highlight and shampoo and dry. I have gone to her once before for the same exact package except she had to do full highlights and low lights the first time. So she charged me 160.00 which I thought was crazy but my hair needed some fixing. But she told me the price at the beginning so I knew what the price was and was ok with it. Now the second time she never told me the price at the beginning. She told me it would be cheaper than the first time because she was only putting highlights in and it was a partial and not a full highlight like the 1st time. And she did not have to do low lights. Ok so my appointment was at 1 she took me an hour late and it took her 3 hours to do my hair. As she was shampooing & conditioning my hair she was getting water all over my face in my ears. She was pulling my hair so hard. She was combing her fingers through my wet hair. Than when she was blow drying my hair she was burning my scalp. So when she was done she told me my hair was going to be 200.00. Yikes!! I have never paid that much money before. She told me that she has to charge me that much because I have curly hair. And she told me if you have not been charged this price before than the stylist was charging me wrong. But then she proceeds to tell me that she will not charge me the extra charge for curly hair??? I have been getting my haircut and highlighted for probably 15 years now and I have NEVER been charged that much. I have gone to 3 other girls at bubbles Mary, Sunshine and Jessica. Loved all 3 of them and there prices were not even close to 200.00. Wish they still worked at bubbles! Just very disappointed :-( read more

I made an appointment with Aky to get my hair highlighted based on other reviews posted on Yelp. Unfortunately, everything is a la carte including getting your hair blown dry which was quoted as an additional $35. I declined to get the blow dry because the price of the highlight and toner was already expensive enough. The highlights were very nice and natural looking, but with the pricing so high I will probably just let these highlights grow out and go with my natural hair color. read more

I made an appt for 7:15 and arrived at 6:45. I figured i would have to wait for my appt time but not any time over. There were 3 hairstylists there and two were working on coloring hair the other just mingling until her appts came in around 7:45. One of the hair stylists coloring hair took me after she was done. i told her i was donating my hair and she, 1) didn't cut it how i told her to, 2) was in a rush because she had to wash the other persons hair in 30-45 min, 3) tried to cut my very thick hair that isn't even straight while dry. She didn't offer to wash my hair at all and only did so when she realized my hair had to be wet to cut it. The whole process was extremely rushed. While she was washing my hair i asked her what cuts she suggested for my face shape and how short it was and she responded with, "we can talk about that when we go to the chair". Of course it was never brought up again. At this point i was mortified. I realized the whole experience was making me uneasy, from the timer clicking to the worry on her face to try and finish before it went off. I have a sort of long bob now, i cut around 12in to donate. I have thick hair and she did not thin the ends at all. She left to go wash the girls hair when the timer buzzed and i thought she was going to maybe thin the ends or make my cut even but instead came back and proceeded to blow dry my hair. She didnt even pull my hair in front of my face to check with a comb if the lengths were even. No style at all just a quick 5-10 min blow dry. I get trims every 8 weeks and once every 18 months i cut it all off. I just moved and thought i'd try a salon near home. The worst mistake ever. I look like, Dora the Explorer but older. Definitely, not worth it and now i have to go to another salon to try and fix it or at least get my ends thinned. read more

Worst cut ever...and that's hard to do for a guy. The cut was uneven and choppy. It looks like i did it myself in the mirror with dull clippers. I will be looking elsewhere. I recommend you do too. read more
