I have been going to see Ruthie at Bubbles in Leesburg for about 6 months now and would highly recommend her! I have fairly difficult hair, long, thick, curly and she always gets the cut right. She is even better with color! She listens, records what she did the time before, and does not take offense to suggestions from her client. Not happy. My daughter wanted her hair cut -- She's 8. Did some research, and bubbles says on their website kids 10 and under, shampoo, cut, dry $25. Okay, awesome. It doesn't say starting at, it says that is the price. We get there at her appointment time, and the stylist was finishing up his previous client. They asked us to wait outside. I get it, COVID. But it's 102 degrees outside and there is barely anyone inside. We wait almost 10 minutes in the heat before I went back inside asking how much longer. So, she sits down. They wash her hair, cut it, dry it. Takes roughly 15 minutes. We go to check out and they charge me $45 for it. The guy checking us out was very rude and told me prices are based on the stylist. Okay. Well list that on your website. They then tried to tell me for boys it was that price. Nope, says "kids". Try again. Anyway, paid it, tipped the stylist. Customer service sucked. Never again will I go there. read more

I've been going to this Bubbles location for a few years. When making an appointment, the receptionist is always friendly and helpful - just a couple of times when I was put on hold or transferred to several people, but that was when they were very busy. Our hair stylist is good. WATCH OUT for hidden charges such as extra charge for cutting long hair (?). I can't grasp why there would be an extra charge for this - isn't a haircut a haircut? They also push a lot of products on you. You might even get a lot of attitude if you return unused products that you purchased (under pressure) but don't really need or want. Overall, not a bad salon. read more

I'm updating my last review to say how much I still enjoy coming here. They rotate through stylists a lot but everyone I've had is great. I usually get a hair cut, lip wax and blowout. This time around I got a discount from my points card which was a nice bonus. They have lowered the music too so it's a much more relaxing experience now. It gets really crowded on the weekends here but I usually go after work on the weekday with an appointment and have never had a problem. I'd still recommend this for a nice, cheap-ish salon for good services! read more

I have been to this bubbles (in Leesburg) about 5 different times and had 5 different stylists. Each stylist did an amazing job. They listened to what I wanted (which is always something different....long...short....blonde....brunette....you name it) and gave me advice on the best cuts and colors for my face and complexion. I love bubbles. They really invest the time and money to train and educate their employees on the latest fashions. And they're half the price of red door spas. Seriously awesome! read more

Have been coming here for 3 years - a hair salon record for me! But I keep coming back because of Donita. She is great with color and cut - my hair is just below my shoulders and she knows how to do a natural looking cut with layers. Easy to talk to - always a good thing when you're sitting in a chair and can't go anywhere for 2+ hours (when doing color). I like Bubbles, but it's the stylist that really matters. I'll follow Donita if she ever moves to another salon. read more

I have been going to Donita for about 2 years now and I love her! I don't usually write reviews, but she is great! She is very knowledgeable and she does the best highlights. I am so happy that a friend recommended her because the stylists I had before her were not half as good. Ben is a very talented stylist. He is a perfectionist. I have been to many exclusive high end salons and he has surpassed all the stylist I have been to. I went to him after another stylist from another very exclusive salon messed up by hair and he fixed and stayed after closing. The receptionist Alena is very sweet and welcoming. read more

Bubbles has done a great job of accommodating me when I've come as a walk-in--and also has worked me in with little notice for a double-appointment. Brianna and Rhapsody have both done a good job with my thick, hard-to-manage hair. And they were personable and professional. I go to the manager Corissa and I love her she is the best. I always just let her do whatever she feels like and I am always so very pleased. She is wonderful with color, and I must say its a nice feeling to be able to sit in someones chair and not be afraid of what your hair might look like. Don't bother going to the Leesburg bubbles. They won't bother to make time to schedule an appointment. Getting a partial highlight takes them two hours and even if you call about two hours in advance the stylist wants to leave at 5:00 on the dot. Just go to the one in Dulles Town Center instead. Not worth spending 20 minutes on the phone for them to just turn you away. read more

On a whim I stopped by this very busy shop on a Saturday afternoon and they were able to not only accommodate me within a half hour (conveniently there is a great nail salon next door) but I got probably one of the best haircuts ever for an incredibly inexpensive price. I showed Tanya what i wanted my hair to grow out to be, and she made the cute perfect, professional AND cute. No one tried to up-sell me on product or services, which I appreciate although I did ask for a deep conditioner AND the spray she used to give my little bob some volume. I went to this salon to get a haircut, because my previous salon seemed a little expensive. They had me down for a cut and color, which wasn't was I asked for.. The stylist gave me a haircut that looked fine, but once I got home and washed it, there were chunks where it looked like she attempted to thin it, but without thinning shears it was just straight, chunky cuts. I went to another salon, and the stylist (who is excellent, but more expensive) was pulling out pieces and showing me where they were cut straight across, several of which were shorter than the layers on top of them. The only way to fix it was to lop of another 4 inches of my hair. Needless to say, I didn't save any money going to Bubbles once you factor in the second haircut to fix the first one. read more

I had hair down to the middle of my back. I went to "Bubbles" hoping to save some money, and REALLY MADE A MISTAKE. The hair dresser was a young man with a "colorful" Mohawk. All I asked for was a shoulder length bob. It took him forever, and you could see that he did not have much confidence. When finished, my husband took one look at my hair, and said " but it is longer on one side than the other." The young man attempted to fix it. Luckily, hair grows back for most women, so I just had to wait. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN, AND TELL EVERYONE I KNOW IN LEESBURG ABOUT HOW TERRIBLE THE CUT WAS! read more

Went there once on a whim and my daughter got a really good haircut from Donita. called again to have her hair done for homecoming made an appointment and then got called and told my appointment had to be later. My daughter couldn't go later it was homecoming night, that's why I made the appointment for the time I made it. so, that night I did her hair for her. We tried again , a month later,I made another appointment showed up at my appointment time and they told me I was 15 minutes late and they already started with another customer. Have been going to Bubbles for several years now and most of the time was satisfied with it. However, recently I have noticed the staff have changed so did the service and skill level of employees. I thought it was very hard to mess up a simple hair cut with layers, but that was the case with my two last visits of the salon. Had two different hair-"stylists" and even stressed the problem during the most recent visit, however, in both cases the side bangs came out uneven, looks like a child cut it. Don't think I will be going back to this location. Moreover, the atmosphere is not inviting, resembling high schoolers during break. I went in for basically an easy cut (I'm a licensed cosmetologist myself), came out, went home and re-cut it myself. I just wanted to relax and have my hair done, but it was a total nerve racking experience. One side was longer than the other, my weed-wacker stylist didn't even talk to me during the whole process! maybe she doesn't speak English. Anyway, if you don't mind walking around, tilting your head to one-side so it looks even, have at it. I will never go there again. read more

I had a great first experience with Casey today and will definitely be going back to see her. The salon was clean and welcoming. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely friendly. I am growing my hair out after a very short pixie cut. Right now it is cut in a very, very short bob. The stylist who previously did my hair cut it unevenly along the bottom. When Casey sat me down for the consultation, she said I did not need a full cut since my hair is healthy and most of it is well shaped. She simply evened out the bottom and explained what the process will be to continue to grow out my hair. I appreciate that she did what she thought was best for my hair, even though it meant less money for her. Casey was very personable, professional, and friendly. I was very nervous going in because I had been with the same stylist for five years. I am happy that I've found a new stylist. read more

I had gone here once before and they did a good job. Unfortunately, i went back to a different person, im not sure who, but i wanted to get 10 inches off for locks of love. After they cut my hair, i was left with an awful bob haircut that was way to short. when i got home and measured my hair, they had cut off at least 15 inches. Not only did they cut it way to short, but they did a horrible job trying to fix their mistake. read more
