This is probably my first time ever writing a review on yelp, today I set an appt with them because I'm new to the area and it was the first spot I found. I took my dog Ollie and the guy at the front desk greeted me very well and called out the groomer. Once the groomer came he took my dog, asked about 2 questions and disappeared. Really made me feel like he didn't care. I explained in detail what I wanted my dog to look like and unfortunately I received the worst haircut I've ever seen my dog get. I can sit here and explain into detail but truth of the matter is I don't recommend this place what's so ever especially if your the type of owner that really cares about how your dog looks like. I took my little 20 LB Cockapoo in to Bubbles Spa for a bath and groom. (my lovely long time mobile groomer had moved away to Dallas ) First time with my Cockapoo to this place; when I booked the appointment I told the front desk receptionist that I wanted an experienced groomer, and she told me no problem. Upon arrival to the appointment, the groomer received my cockapoo, and I Showed the groomer a picture of how I wanted my dog to look,. and after they examined my dog, the quote was $75... Upon picking up my baby, the front desk person who quoted me $75 , told me the rate is now $95, and she told me the previous quote was an error. When I examined my poor baby, the groomer had trimmed off her tail fur so short that the beautiful tip of her fur tail "white color" marker was completely cut off!!! My concern are with this Bubble Spa: 1) The Groomer was not a "skilled" groomer , ( same kind of skill level where one can find in one of those chain pet store groomers). 2) Did not honor the price quoted... that is a big No! No! especially , the cut / groom did not look anything like what I showed in the picture. and the tail fur was cut too short. I Paid $ 100, ,and left with my baby quickly , knowing that I will never return to this place again...!!!! read more

Oh my god my cats looks so freaking cute after their hair cut! They have been to the same groomer for their entire lives but after COVID 19 the cat groomer never returned, and I was having trouble finding another one. I love this place! They even offer a service to pick up the cats from my parents (who are a little older) on their grooming days. Pretty affordable in my opinion too for cat grooming - I paid $178 without top for a full lion's cut for my two elderly cats. Definitely will be coming back for their next grooming! read more

Even when I "thought" I was taking them to a good place, I'd have to drag them in with their tails between their legs. Even 1 star is too much for this place. I took my dog to Bubbles for the first time. They knew it was our first time there and didn't tell me how it works. They charged me $40 just for bath (and kept saying since it's your first time we're charging you $40, but next time it'll be $45). They didn't tell me what the $40/$45 covers. They called me in 30 minutes to pick Jojo up. They did absolutely no grooming. Not even face trim. And when I asked why they didn't trim his face, they said you had to tell us exactly what you wanted trimmed. I had made an appointment for "GROOMING", not just bath. Then I asked if they can trim his face, and they charged me an extra $12 for face trim. So I technically paid almost the price of full grooming which is probably around $62-$65 but my dog only got a bath and a face trim. I'm so unhappy with their service. They literally did nothing and charged me $52. I'm definitely not going back there. And I suggest you stay away from this place if you care about your dog and your money. Totally not worth my time and money and sending Jojo in twice to get technically nothing done. read more

Been taking our little rescue Pomeranian girl here for approximately one year. I love this place. I'm not one to write reviews easily on account of being disappointed in the past because of inconsistency. After all anyone can do a good job once in a while. I have been to Bubbles for dog grooming a handful of times. My most recent visit was at the end of February. I took 3 dogs in for grooming; my golden/lab, doberman/boxer & St. Bernard. The St. Bernard and Golden/Lab were to be shaved. I had taken all 3 dogs in for this exact service before but for some reason this time was charged $40 more. I asked about the increase in cost and was told they raised their prices by $5 at the beginning of the year. Still, that doesn't equate to $40, but what was done was done, so I left. When I got home, I took a closer look at my dogs. My Golden/Lab was shaved WAY too closely. She was basically bald and had nicks all over her body. Now, 2 1/2 months later, her fur still isn't growing back. I don't know what they did to her but whatever it was must've damaged the hair/fur follicles. I've since consulted with other groomers who have all said they've never seen anything like it and shook their heads at the nicks all over her body. She is growing fur back mostly just up by her neck and it is growing back in patches. It's the weirdest thing. As I said, she's had this done before with no issue, so they've must've done something differently. She looks like a scroungy stray right now and it's very upsetting. I've read the other reviews here and there seems to be a pattern with Bubbles and retrievers. Many of the bad reviews are on their work with labs or goldens. Needless to say I'll never take my dogs there again. I'll never recommend them to anyone. In fact, if I could sue them easily for this, I would. I drive all the way from Orange County to Encino just to take my dog to Bubbles every two months. I must be crazy right? Wrong! Bubbles is worth the drive, horrible LA traffic and gas. Trust me. Masumi is the BEST! I started taking my dog, Casey, to Bubbles before Masumi even started working at Bubbles. The groomers I had before her were also good, but Masumi is simply the best groomer I've ever had for Casey. She is so talented with the way she cuts Casey's hair and she is an incredibly sweet lady! She loves Casey and Casey loves her back, which is amazing because Casey usually hates it when she is held by other people besides her family members. Never have I seen Casey so calm with a groomer until Masumi started grooming her. Casey is a Lhasa Apso and has A LOT of fur! She needs a haircut every two months because it grows so fast. Masumi gives her a teddy bear cut and it always comes out great. I have never picked up Casey disappointed with the cut. Also, Masumi never forgets to add bows, a feather, or a bandana! :) The place itself is very clean and does not smell bad, like other grooming places do. They have self-wash stations where you can wash your own dog, if you'd like. They have the front desk area which is right next to a big display of treats, toys and misc. items to purchase for your dog. I love their vast selection of dog collars and leashes available, too. I definitely recommend this grooming salon for your pet, especially if you are trying to find someone to give your hairy pooch a nice cut. Masumi never fails to make Casey adorable! read more

Let's face it. It's NOT my dog. It's my baby, my princess, my treasure, and the apple of my eye. OK??? Now that we got that straight, let me tell you this is the only place I trust to bring my baby for a wash. I am FUSSY. I would never let anyone else to wash my dog. I do that myself because that's a part of being a loving parent to my baby. Why would I let someone else??? I come here because the self wash stations are awesome. I know they keep it clean, because I have watched them clean it. Did I say I am fussy? My concern is that I don't want my dog to catch staph infection on her beautiful paws, from a dirty wash tub. So I come here because I know the the tubs are CLEAN. I have seen the owner to be very keen on these things. Additionally, the towels are spotless, and they have dryers that I can use without frightening my baby. I want you to know that I have watched them wash other people's dogs, large and small. What I noticed was that they took their time to make the dogs at ease with kindness. I saw a dog that was limping, and they were very gentle in helping the dog move around. I am sure you know, these things are important for older dogs. And these people take these things into consideration. It's good to know and that's why I come back, although I will always go for the self wash. What you should know is that the process is easy, there is an abuncance of products that you can use (great shampoos, treats, etc). Most importantly, they don't rush you. They give you enough time and space to do your thing and be comfortable. I like that. I felt at home. I have been to other self-wash groomers where I felt like the staff is watching me from the corner of their eye, and that didn't sit well with me. It even made my dog uncomfortable. But not here! They greet you, they remember your name, your dog's name, bring you towels, ask you if you need anything else, on and on.... How much more can I ask for, in exchange for a self-wash fee! Really, good job guys! My princess wags her tail and thanks you! Last but not least, hopping into the tubs is not difficult for my "Princess". She has arthiritis and they have just the right ramp at the right curve, the right height, and the right width, and it doesn't intimidate my girl. She gets on the ramp, and up she goes wagging her tail, without thinking twice... And mommy is happy! :-) Prices are very fair, given the service, product selection, location, and CLEANLINESS... Wow! Where do I start. The spa itself is beautiful. It's really clean and nicely decorated. Lots of windows and the do-it yourself baths are great. The staff is so friendly it's a breath of fresh air. The owner asked me constantly if there was anything I needed and he was so friendly with my dogs. I have 2 very large dogs that are not always friendly and they took to him immediately. What a great sign! I washed my one dog on my own and this the BEST self wash I have ever used. They have a variety of shampoos and they told me which one would be best for my monster based on his skin type. It was so easy that I can't wait to go back! This is an amazing pet spa. We have been going here for years and brought all of our dogs here. We currently have Foxy, Pudgy, Frankie, Coco, and Milo. And their cousin Casey who's my sister's dog. Simon is the owner and has taken care of us for years. He is very caring, gentle to our pups, loving, and provides the best customer service. He remembers our names AND our dogs names! We bring our dogs here for baths often and the staff really knows how to handle them we gentle care. We have never had a problem and never have complaints of the results. We also bring them for hair cuts, specially our Pomeranians and Lhasa apso. Our favorite groomer is Masumi and she always does a great job. We give specific instructions for the grooming of our pups and she always follows them. An example is our Lhasa apso has very beautiful and long eye lashes, Masumi has always taken care of them and she never cuts them. When we brought our Lhasa in a different grooming place her lashes were cut and we will never again go anywhere else! Lesson learned. The cleanliness of the establishment is excellent. They are always clean. It is very impressive and we appreciate that. Long story short, bubbles pet spa is the best and I highly recommend you bring your pups here. Extremely unsatisfied! I hate giving bad reviews, but honestly, I want to make sure others are aware. We brought my dog in on Tuesday, 1 year old toy poodle that weights about 8-10 Ibs for a haircut. Not only did they make my dog's head an unformed shape, but when I got her home, both her eyes were bloodshot red! We got in contact with our vet, and apparently this happens when the animals are pretty much strangled during grooming sessions and the vessels rupture...how tight must you put that grooming leash on a tiny dog to cause ruptures like that?! I have taken my pet and previous pet to grooming salons, and this has NEVER happened before. When I had called them up, they had informed me, that they don't know how this happened. Aside from that, she has numerous cuts on her neck and belly area and her nails where not all trimmed, only a few of them were. What also struck me was when we picked up our pet, the groomer was nowhere to be found, which is never the case in any place that I have given my pets. Thank goodness her eyes are healing, it's been almost a week, they are still extremely red, but thankfully it is less and not as tearful! Very very unsatisfied! read more
