The entire process was super easy, even though we handled everything over the phone. I mostly communicated with Anna, and she was incredibly helpful and easy to work with. We also paid for our four-night boarding stay through Simon's Zelle account, which made everything very convenient. The grooming was also top-notch! Our Morkie came back looking great, and it was clear that they took good care of her while we were away. We highly recommend them and would absolutely use them again the next time we need boarding or grooming. When I contacted them to address their lack of supervision during her four-day stay, they completely washed their hands of the situation. They absurdly claimed she "never had diarrhea there," which is impossible given how sick she was the minute we got home. They flat out refused to refund my money or take any accountability. They do not monitor the dogs properly or care about their well-being. Do not risk your pet's health at this place.

The grooming and haircuts could be a little better or more consistent at times, but overall they do an okay job and my dog always comes back clean and well taken care of. Prices are reasonable as well, which keeps me coming back. The only downside is that parking can be a bit tricky depending on the time of day. Other than that, it's a solid grooming spot with friendly staff and convenient scheduling.

Little touches that made the pricey de-shedding and grooming fees worth it ($125 for a grooming of large dog, 85lbs). I wanted to simply address this to a manager via email to show photos, but their contact form on the site is impersonal and gives no email address and no opportunity to upload photos. On his last visit on Friday, my dog came home panting and not wagging his tail. I just thought he missed me, but it felt out of place, more like a "hyperventilation" type panting. I didn't think anything of it until the next day, as I was petting him, I felt bloody scabs across his head. Till today I find more that's hidden in his long fur. I'm super sad because Andy's has done a great job with his de-shedding, and I know it's no easy task with his fur. But, he is the mildest-mannered service animal for kids with autism. He doesn't bite or bark or squirm, so to have big gashes like this on multiple parts of his skin after a grooming is a red flag. I won't be sending him to Andy's anymore. Very sad about it, but this isn't how you treat a dog or long-time customer. You disclose the cuts and address how to help treat them.

In…read more2023/2024 I found the dog resort extremely helpful as a day time dog sitter for 4-6 hrs at a time. My dog didn't seem to mind it and always came back calmer so I decided to leave him here for 9 days while I went away for a trip. I don't recall the exact costs. Probably between 900-1100 dollars for daily walks and his home provided food. I asked the employees to put on his sweater at night. It wasn't a question it was a very important task they agreed to. He was a very small 8 pound yorkie and was always cold. When I came back my dog was not his normal self. That already made me highly suspicious about getting his walks. He was coughing a lot, not sleeping but also lethargic. I took him to the vet and he had pneumonia. Meaning, he was cold from day 1 and got worse for the remainder of his stay and I never got a call from here. From there he got sicker and sicker and I had to put him down. I was devastated and desperate to get him back to normal for months! I recommend people never leave their dogs in places like this. Sure you save money and they may or may not have company (depending on their personality) but you're better off vetting a dog sitter to check in or stay with your dog at home. In the end you may save yourself an onslaught of vet bills from trying to figure what is making your dog so ill when back from a trip. At least with an in home dog sitter they're more like to stay alive and healthy. If you have a small dog with specific needs get someone who can cater to your dog with love and care. I highly suggest NEVER leaving your dog for overnight or extended stays. I hate that it took me so long to post this but my grief was too strong to do it before. I wanted to sue, I wanted my money back, but I was so sad and I couldn't bring myself to do much other than focus on him and move on with my life. I'll never get another dog after this experience.

I hired the valley pet sitters to come for an extra day and came home a day later thinking my cats had at least clean glasses of water and extended my trip. I also left a handwritten note by the glasses of Water saying please do two fresh glasses each time of fridge water. When I got home, there was only two glasses used and both were full of slimy bacteria filled water because they were not cleaned or changed out for over a week. I would not have stayed an extra day if I ever thought for a second the note wouldn't have been read or the notes online that say use two fresh glasses that are in a pile of fresh clean glasses right by the fridge. even if I did not leave the note, why would anyone ever think cats would drink slimy bacteria infested water they would choose toilet water over a dirty bowl of water. You should always change the dry food bowls before we're feeling and the dishes of water rinsing is not even good enough, but everyone that knows Cats knows this. You're a bad caretaker for cats. If you give them water in any dirty dish, that's disgusting and rude.

Thank you D Pet Hotels LA for an amazing boarding experience over this thanksgiving! From our very first approach, you were super responsive and informative and we immediately felt welcomed and in safe, experienced hands. The facility is clean and beautiful and oozes of a relaxed atmosphere. 5 star service at Dpet! I bring my 2 dogs here every once and a while and it's always top notch service. My dogs love it and always come home happy, exhausted and wanting to go back. They employees are attentive to dogs/customers needs and truly care about the dogs/customers. They send me pictures of my dogs throughout the day and post pics to their Instagram page. They also provide grooming services that are great as well. Just go in and talk to them, you'll see what I'm talking about. read more

this was Bodhis first time at the hotel. he was there for 7 days. I called every morning to see how he was doing and they were very helpful in letting me know how Bodhi did. I will be taking him back over Thanksgiving and have no concerns about how he will be treated. I highly recommend leaving your pet with them!!! read more

I think daycare can be such a great thing for dogs. They get to have fun, be social and get some much needed/deserved play time with their canine compadres. It's not for every dog though, and some dogs may not be a good fit. If you're not sure, stop by your local dog daycare, speak with them and maybe give it a try. read more

I called Petrock and was greeted by someone who was extremely helpful and empathetic to our situation. Thankfully, they did have room for our dog. Our dog is pretty shy and keeps to himself, but seemingly had a wonderful time there. The staff all treated him so sweetly and tried to include him in all their little activities. However, after a few short, 3-6 day trips, we left our dog for 2 weeks while we went on our honeymoon in June, and things went poorly. To start with, Morgain made us wait 15+ minutes outside her home (which is in Van Nuys and not in Studio City as Yelp claims) and claimed she had "no idea" what time we were dropping off. Of course, I could have pointed out to her that I had put the drop-off time in the initial booking email AND the follow-up confirmation email, but I decided to let that go...But it was frustrating because we were on our way to the airport and hadn't anticipated such a delay. During our vacation, we didn't get very many photos of our dog, while we were away because she claimed her phone was broken. And then when we came back to pick him up, Morgain again made us wait outside for 10-15 minutes, despite the fact that I had emailed AND texted a half hour before. She didn't apologize but gave some excuse, and then proceeded to hand us our zip-lock baggie (clearly labeled with our dog's name) that had some other dog's kibble in it that looked very different from our dog's food. She rushed us away, but when we got into the car, we noticed our dog had a scab and a patch of missing fur on his nose. Clearly, his nose had been cut and had bled because the scab was dark red dried blood. I texted Morgain to ask what happened, and she claimed she "had no idea" but maybe he scratched it on some bougainvillea in the backyard. Basically, my dog had a gash on his face, and she claims not to have noticed him bleeding. I understand dogs are like little kids and can get scrapes and cuts, but the fact she says she didn't notice and didn't bother to tell us about it is upsetting. Luckily, my dog healed and his fur grew back weeks later. Since that incident in June, we have found another a dog sitter on Rover who has a big yard for our dog to play in but is much better about sending daily photos and keeping a close eye on our dog.

It was telling because when we picked the dogs up Danny profusely apologized for what happened which as you can see from the response below is very different then what they say now. High Paw to me has always been a safe place where we could leave the most important "people" to us without any fear. That is such a rare thing to find in the world. What happened last Monday felt like a deep betrayal of that trust. Danny has always been wonderful and we have been leaving our dogs there for several years. He even made sure to care for our sweet dog who was in his last days with such thoughtfulness that they had a fan for life in me. That sadly changed last Monday night when we left them at their new location for a 6 night stay. Even from the drop off- something felt very off- there was very little discussed and the conversations were abrupt and really non- existent. We had our best friends dogs that were also going to be there for the first time for the 6 days, and we recommended high paw without any thought. We were told that the dogs would be well taken care of and we would be updated frequently on how things were going. When we checked in- High Paw didn't ask any questions at all about how much to feed the dogs or their potty habits or walking or anything, which is a big deal for 6 days. We texted them directly after dropping them off just to give them all those details . We didn't receive any response. We followed up a few more times, and everyone (especially the ones that hadn't been there before) grew concerned. We called and no response. Our flight was due to leave in a few hours and we hand t heard anything back. After multiple attempts we finally reached the owner who was defensive and dismissive of our concerns and when we asked questions if they had eaten or gone out this evening- instead of confirming - she told us to come get the dogs in the middle of the night. When we picked them up it was clear that not only had they not been fed (the food hadn't been touched) but they all seemed desperately thirsty. It broke our heart because not only did it torpedo our vacation it broke the trust we had in leaving the ones we love the most with them. We were kind and courteous throughout the entire process and our only concern was for the dogs and just needing some sort of update letting us know they were okay. In the end- it comes down to trust. It takes a long time to create and an instant to break.
