This used to be my go to laundry mat as it's close to my home. However, things have changed dramatically. Most of the machines are broken. They have taken all the vending machines out. They've also taken out the laundry soap dispenser in case you needed to purchase laundry detergent or dryer sheets. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. There was a box of needles left under the sink. Whoever now owns this place just doesn't care anymore. If they didn't want to deal with the upkeep, they should've just closed up shop and sold the equipment while it was still working to recoup their investment. It's truly sad to see a business which used to be booming go down the tubes as this one has. read more

Just lost $8 of quarters in a machine. Have been here before to wash large quilts comforters avd did not have a problem. This time, I called the management telephone number kn the wall, and no response or call back. The machine appears operational but no cost per load appearing. Really has gone down hill. Overflowing trash from a can, sadly no one is maintaining it. read more

I am in VA as a nurse traveler. The cottage where I'm staying has a washer and dryer but it's in another cottage that is too far to walk so I keep having to drive back and forth and it can take an entire day to do my wash. I figured if I went toa laundromat I could get them all done at the same time. I looked up laundromats and came across this one which was the closet one to me. The website said it took credit cards so I was happy I didn't have to get quarters as I rarely use cash anymore. if you value your life don't go there!!!! I had homeless people coming up to me asking for money and one guy that had psychiatric problems kept walking around mumbling. To use a card you have to download an app and "load" it with money. I got it to work on 3 machines but when I tried other machines it kept saying to re-load the card which I did. I never got the other 3 machines to work. The app charged me $75 but my card company put a lock on it and when I called the credit card company I told them I was happy to pay the $25 even though the machines only charged $5 each, I didn't want the hassle trying to get $10 back, I got out of there alive. It is TOTALLY sketchy! When the machines were done I loaded up my wet clothes and got the heck out of there! I was literally afraid to be there and wanted out as soon as I could. read more

I got off work at 3am and came here because it was the closest. I was there with one lady who was part of the staff. Another person came in and they appeared to be homeless. No problem at all. It was cold out, I understand. He took a cart, which was strange because he had nothing on him, went over to the vending machines in the corner and proceeded to masturbate. I kid you not... His arm motions looked incredibily suspicious, but as a man... I kinda know it when i see. Not doing Laundry here at 3am ever again or coming here ever again. read more

I only came here to get quarters. Highly sketchy. A little tough to find on Carlton Road. Not really that clean at all. Tons of laundry left over in the washing and drying machines. On the bright side, there's a retro Pac-Man arcade game here. The down side is that it's possessed by the ghost of numerous Hessians who were imprisoned on Barracks Road during the Revolution. Yikes! read more

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE THIS PLACE YOUR LAST RESORT TO DO YOUR LAUNDRY!!! The washers smell terrible and I actually saw the cleaning lady use a washer as a mop bucket! The dryers are crap. If you think you are safe to eat at Red Lantern (which is pretty good by the way) while you wait for your clothes to be done, it ain't happening. I had a comforter, blanket, towels and cleaning rags stolen. Cleaning rags people! The snacks are stale, but the 20 oz Pepsi's are just a $1.00. read more

I go here often because it is close to my house and open 24 hours. However, the facility smells strongly of mildew and it is never never clean...dirty footprints, mud, detergent and more all over the floors and the machines never look too clean either. They advertise wireless but no employees are here to give you the security code and the ac is usually barely working. On the plus side, I once forgot a load of laundry here for a day (was late somewhere and missed a dryer) and it was still here when I got back! read more

DO NOT GO HERE! Someone stole my laundry from this laundromat and the owners wouldn't even call me back to help me find it. A corporate company manages all the "emergencies" that occur here and they then relay the messages to the local owners. The local owners couldn't even give me the decency of a phone call to show me the video from the night in question for the police report that I filed. The facilities are fine but don't leave your laundry here and if you do, don't expect any help finding it when it gets stolen. read more
