The fried fish and fried shrimp specials were both excellent--lightly battered, perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy. We paired everything with a couple of beers and sweet tea, and it made for a fantastic meal. The service was outstanding. Lauren, our server, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Brian and Mama were also so welcoming and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We really enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere, the clean restaurant (including the spotless restroom), and the background music, which was at just the right volume. We'll definitely be back. So, I noticed almost immediately that all the white people who arrived after us were sat before us in very visible tables and then I (the lone brown person) was sat around the corner away from the entry. Now, I don't know these people, so I have absolutely no reason to think that this was intentional, but I need them to realize how it might look. You have to be cognizant of things like that. Even if they just forgot to seat us and the hidden table happened to be the next available, it looked very bad. Now, the server who was assigned to us was awesome.
