Stopped in here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. BBQ was lean, delicious and served in generous portions. Decor is roadside bbq like and the smells hook you immediately. The small staff was accommodating and friendly. We got there early (noon) and the dining room was empty. Soon after tables began to fill up with mostly locals and the carry out was a steady stream. On the downside, they don't have a lot of parking space, and a bit rough so you might want to leave your Maserati at home. read more

I was in a huge BBQ mood and have heard so many great things about this place, and it is close to my house so I figure what the heck let's give it a shot! First and foremost I want to say the ladies working here were great, super friendly gave a sample of baby back ribs but that about all I can really complement. The restaurant is very old, and the flooring inside in places are very soft, tables pushed against the wall so I four person round table could only seat two, but we were getting take out so no worries. We both ordered brisket, the smell was great and looked forward to slapping some hot bbq sauce on it and go to town. However there was no flavor at all to either brisket or or real kick to the sauce which was the only flavor. The best way to describe the brisket would be if you took a pot roast left it in the crock pot all day and added zero seasoning. It was soggy with zero flavor. I will give them another chances as I love BBQ and keep hearing of other great reviews here but this trip was a bust. read more

Good quality country bbq! Just a little bit of space inside but bigger than you'd think when judging from the outside. I got the brisket sandwich with fries, not disappointing at all, and the fries definitely have some good oil fry flavor. It was probably around $6 total too, so great deal! My bf got the 2 meat dinner, he was pleased with the brisket and pulled pork. Plenty of food and good portions of sides. He really liked the mustard potato salad. We shared the fried jalapeño bomb balls and could each only handle 1-2. Great breading, very creamy and spicy. We'll be coming back at some point for sure. read more

Phone was off the hook, so couldn't call ahead (during Covid). So four cars ahead of me literally took over a half hour at drive through. Spare ribs were good. Baked beans were great. Skip the potato salad. Rolls were dry. Sauce is good. read more

its a small shed like place, no dine in, just drive thru. the sign is faded and unassuming, and hoping they spent the money on the food instead of the venue and advertisements! unfortunately, no, The ribs are the only thing to rave about!! we got ribs the first couple of times, and theyre great!! the barbeque sauce is tops, unfortunately it goes downhill from there. the chicken is dry as hell, and it ends up as cat food or dog food, the brisket is the same.... the good news is...if you drown the chicken or brisket in the bbque sauce youre good!! we didnt eat the brisket or chicken the 2nd and 3rd time we got it, so we gave this place a good shot. they let us down. the sides are ok, but nothing to write home about. you literally get the chicken, white meat, dry as hell, sitting there all alone, waiting to be drenched in bbq sauce, or some kind of sauce, to be palatable, and not go down your throat like a hairball. the brisket, same. the ribs are the saving grace of this place. nuf said. read more

The first time we had a little mix up with our order (our fault) but they corrected it for us above and beyond and were the friendliest people I have ever encountered in customer service. Little flavor, but good service. I thought I would try this out for the first time after seeing the place for many years. I was disappointed. The meat was very lean, and the quantity was good, but the flavor was not there. The pulled pork and brisket tasted as though the meat had been boiled instead of smoked. I guess they depended on the sauce to give the meat flavor. I don't plan to go back again, so I hope they get the meat right after reading this review and another that also reported that the meat had no flavor. Fantastic Bbq! The pulled pork was delicious! It's was smoked very well. It was moist and had tons of flavor. It was served on a grilled bun with a pickle and your choice of sides. The family dinner of baby back ribs fell off the bones! You couldn't pick it up yo put it in your mouth with out it falling off. The sides of baked beans and potato salad were very good. The beans were piping hot! I'd recommend stopping by here if your close it's definitely worth a short drive drive even. We loved it and would drive here just for the food!! read more

Needed bbq for 10 people on our way into town so called and ordered. Staff were great. Food tasted very good but the portions were not what we were expecting for the price. Almost $100 for 1.5 lbs pulled pork, 1.5lbs brisket (which came shredded in 1.5 pint sized containers and we thought it would be sliced in a box as weve gotten from other places), 2 lbs ribs also looked like a whole lot less in 1 styrofoam container, and a side of mac & cheese & potato salad. So, first thing, the meat isn't sauced. Bubba doesn't hide the smoking and you can add sauce as you like. Such a good smoking. The sauce is sweet and wonderful. The portions are generous and the sides are really tasty. The place doesn't look like much, but that says something. They focus on the food and hospitality. Don't miss it. I love this place. Well, I love the food here. The BBQ is so good I could eat here every day. I usually get the small sandwich, $4 with chips and pickle slice, or 2. When I get 2 I get both the hot and the mild sauces, a perfect mix for me, your mileage may vary... But go there and check them out. Bubba has pork, brisket, and chicken BBQ to die for.
