She kept our drinks filled, explained the menu options thoroughly, and went out of her way to make us feel genuinely welcomed. The restaurant itself is small but very clean, well‑organized, and comfortably arranged. BubbaQue's -- New Port Richey Not our first choice today -- the Cuban place we wanted was closed for city water issues, so that'll have to wait for another day. Ended up at BubbaQue's on Little Rd instead, which just opened this week. It's an up-and-coming BBQ chain, 11 locations so far, so somebody out there likes what they're doing. We'll see. Smallish space, but they've packed in a full bar and about 20 tables -- cozy, sports-bar energy with a full tap wall and TVs everywhere. A "wait to be seated" sign shaped like a toilet seat had us laughing before we even sat down. Front of house was stacked, at least 10 staff on the floor for opening week. Tara was training with the manager and was very sweet. I went with the Redneck Tots -- pulled pork and their signature BBQ sauce piled over crispy tater tots. Could've used a bit more cheese, but between the pork, the tots, and that sauce, honestly what's not to love? Shelley had the sliders and gave those a thumbs up too. They've got seven house BBQ sauces on the table to try -- Tractor Grease, Mississippi Mud, Sugar Shack, Moonshine, Alabama Slama, Rump Roaster, and Ole Yeller -- so there's something for every heat and sweetness preference. I had low expectations going in, and I'm not a BBQ snob, so it was good enough for me. Good prices, no CC upcharge, and a big menu -- including "Rabbit Food" for what one of their signs calls "bad hunters" (vegetarians, for those not fluent in redneck). One other note on a picture .... Lawyers advertising on wet naps? Would certainly convince me to sue someone Anyhoo, Solid BBQ, good energy, good sauce game. We'll be back to see how they settle in. read more

A very good first experience, more than I expected! Very friendly staff, sit down and order, but still very fast. Once you step inside, it does not make you feel like you are in a strip mall, and you can smell a nice light aroma of smoke. We just had a little sampler of sliders, the pulled pork, and the brisket were very good. The chicken was good, just was not as good as the other two. Lots of sides to choose from and you can upgrade any side to the onion rings instead of getting a full order. Yes, in the picture that is half an order. I'm not a ranch fan so for me the mustard barbecue sauce was the way to go with the onion rings. We will definitely be back and try some other items. I did not sample any alcoholic beverages, but they do have a full bar and beers on draft. They also have a drive-through that could be very handy after work. read more

First time getting takeout here. Staff were friendly and helpful and pretty efficient getting the order together quickly. Chicken seemed overcooked. Wings were good. Collard greens and baked beans were average at best. Granted, I compare them against Sonny's just down the road and I may be biased, but, in my opinion, they do not compare favorably. Good food,what there was of it.very pricey.i wouldn't gripe so much about the prices if the portions weren't so small. Got 3 pieces of brisket a 2.5 inch square of corn bread, and a good sized container for greens but it was half liquid. Then to top it off ,didn't get our pricey drinks,didn't get our coleslaw and didn't get our sauces! Usually a restaurant will wait till they are well established to start cutting down on portions and forgetting sides and drinks. Hello there! I recently had the most amazing time at a restaurant I discovered, and I couldn't wait to share my experience with you. It was my first visit, and I must say, it was absolutely fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly, the ambiance was delightful, and the service was truly exceptional. To my surprise, they even have a bar! Oh, and you simply have to try the okra - it's delicious and perfectly crispy. Overall, the dining experience was outstanding, and I highly recommend it, especially for larger groups. A little tip - it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance. Upon entering, you'll be greeted by Pafe a super nice server like Shyanne, who was really cool. Keri, the barista, made an excellent Bloody Mary, and they also have a variety of draft options. Brisket was extra tender but needed more flavor, the bbq sauce saved it, Mac and cheese was not great but they switched it for some tasty collard greens, baked beans was on point, service was good, staff greeted us as we walked in with a friendly smile, our waitress Desiree was great even though a piece of food or spit fell on my wrist as she spoke to me when she was checking on us, we both acted like it didn't happen bc I didn't want her to feel embarrassed. Totally disappointed! The disappointment hit us almost immediately. For starters, my $17 beef brisket dinner consisted of one tiny scoop of beef, one less, than stellar side (not two sides, like every other bar-b-q restaurant offers). and a dried piece of un-flavorful bread, labeled "Texas toast". My family and I went to this restaurant on opening day. It was a terrible experience, we waited over an hour and a half for food. Half of it was wrong, the other half it was ice cold. The managers were nice to have our food remade not once but twice. Every time it was mediocre at best. The food is not homemade, the mac and cheese is just like KFC along with their nasty coleslaw. I had brisket and sausage combo platter, my wife brisket and chicken tenders. Her tenders were supposed to have been tossed in sauce and arrived naked and one tender short. When this was pointed out, they said it was going to be made again. About 10 minutes later, a server brought one tender that was sloppily drizzled with sauce, not coated. My wife and I went for the first time, and the food was outstanding. The service was outstanding and on point. My wife had the Brisket meal with coleslaw, and she loved it. It was a good portion for her. I had the rack of ribs meal with collard greens, and it was outstanding. The meat was tender and moist. The sides were a good portion. The restaurant has a good ambiance with televisions and memorabilia. We will definitely be going back to enjoy this restaurant. They even have a drive-thru for pickup orders. Went to this new BBQ place in New Port Richey on Sunday, September 6, 2026. They give you plenty of food, the ribs were decent, I've tasted better, a little tough from some of it being a little burnt, but will try this place again, maybe will try the chicken or the brisket.
