I decided to get seafood from the hot food section. I got squid(which tasted salty and spoilt, I got nauseous after), the prawns were okay, and the crabs tasted better. To make things worse, the staff who was serving the food was rude, rushing to serve, and had a nasty attitude not only towards me but few others as well, to the extent that a lady stepped up and spoke to her about her attitude. I would go back to get groceries but definitely not the hot food section. read more

I love going to Asian markets! It's exciting trying exotic fruits and veggies. This trip I was lured to purchase an intoxicatingly fragrant quince. It makes me happy finding my favorite Asian spices and sauces; they carry Mama Sita's Labuyo Hot sauce. Stocking up on Filipino staples, like Palm Corned Beef, is a must. Picked up a pretty set of chopsticks for my daughter and sturdy Chinese soup spoons for hubby; he likes eating cereal with these. The meat and seafood sections look and smell clean, the floors are dry, and everything looks fresh. This is a well organized store with lots of open cash registers and speedy checkers. I will definitely be back to pick up some reasonably priced tea pots and pretty cups with lids. read more

Every single time I am mid-transaction and paying, another staff person decides to distract and have a casual conversation with the cashier ... and I, the customer, have to "wait" for 1. change, 2. my receipt, 3. having my stuff bagged, as they continue to have a casual conversation i. e. , the paying customer, does not exist. This happens frequently. The last two days this happened again and I did not let it go!!!!!! This place has so much potential but the cashiers are a nightmare except for one very nice man at the meat counter. The produce is fresh, meat is good, fish ok. Why these cashiers are so nasty to people is a mystery to me! No "thank you" when you pay - and the change goes on the counter not in your hand. Blue Sky near Jane and Wilson are pleasant and polite. This is a decent Asian grocery store, made better because it's easy for me to get to. The place is decently clean and has a pretty good variety of produce, meats and seafood. I'm able to find everything I need here, including all the weirdo parts of animals I like to eat. The seafood area is in a separate room, and doesn't smell TERRIBLE, meaning that they keep it clean enough. The fish I bought from here was quite good. Yes, I'll be back again. It's as cheap as an Asian grocery store in Scarborough, without being in Scarborough. read more

In one made up word "TNT-light". Btrust reminds me of the Asian Groceries my mom used to take me to when I was young. Cheap but still fairly fresh produce. Focused on "asian" cuisine vegetables. Meats are cheap and of decent quality but not "AAA" quality like one might expect at "Loblaws". Cheap raw chicken wings, breast and different cuts of beef. This grocery sells raw "fish balls". I used to buy fish balls for 10 for $3.99 a restaurant until I found them here. They have a butcher section on site that will do simple cuts and an isolated fresh fish section (so the whole place doesn't smell). They also added a prepared food section. The wife and I like to get 10 pangko breaded shrimp for 2.99. Decent price but don't expect it to be perfect. Chicken wings are 8 for 3.99. Great price. The food was too salty before but they seemed to have toned down their sodium levels to appeal to us "bland" food lovers (as the wifey calls me). Oh it's also a great place to get Filipino products snacks - Growers Savoury nuts, prawn chips, chippy, Frozen longanisa, shopao, tocino and more! read more

What a disgusting store. Somebody from my house went to buy dinner from this store and they left dish soap in the meat . Another friend of mine found insects crawling all over the food . The freezer smells like sawdust. read more

Will continue to shop here as it is near my workplace and reasonable but the service has gotten extremely rude: 1. Checkers do not say "thank you" and glare at you. 2, Old guy at the butcher counter insists on giving me more than what I asked for by weight and pretends he doesn't understand - I know damn well he does. I am not sure if the rudeness is my misunderstanding of a foreign culture or just bad business practice. read more

This place is DIRTY, DISGUSTING and RUDE STAFF. I bought an item here and when I got home I didn't realize the item I bought was expired in October 2018, it's SEPTEMBER 2019! I called the store and the person who picked up was completely rude about it. She doesn't even know how to spell her manager's name. Unbelievable. read more

My name is Paul and I would like to express my experience shopping at Btrust supermarket, the one located at 1105 Wilson ave., North York, ON : I bought groceries there with my mother and after I paid I asked the cashier for an extra plastic bag, since some were groceries and others meat. The cashier insisted that we put everything together and after a few minutes, she THREW the plastic bag at me in front of everyone who were waiting in line. And after I said she was being rude, she started cussing at us in her language. I immediately asked another cashier to call the manager and when he came to talk to us, it made no difference whatsoever; he kept checking our bags and saying that she did not do anything wrong, that this was the proper way to handle customers. I am writting this complaint to Btrust supermarket, but also spreading as much as I can in all sorts of social medias to let people know that when you are not treated with respect, you should get together and boycot places such as this one. Last week, almost the same thing happen to a customer in front of us. Are these cashiers paying for those lousy plastic bags??? Will Btrust supermarket go BANKRUPT if they hand an extra plastic bag for a person who needs them??? Then start charging 2 cents for each and STOP this NONSENSE!! Good prices for meat.... . Never been to this one but i can tell u that across Scarborough they are all the same with the rude cashiers. Stretch out your hand for your change they by pass you and slap it right down on the counter without even looking at you... I must be stupid for going back.
