Of course always grabbed a copy of Creative Loafing to check out cool events that I couldn't attend because I was underage and or had no driver's licence. Fast forward a few decades and CL is still one of my favorite sidekick for what is cool, interesting and or off beat for this city of mine. Besides letting you know what's worthy of checking out in this fine city of the south they also have great short fiction written by local talents. We shouldn't be surprised that there are so many talented local writers in this city. After all this is the city of Gone With The Wind and telling stories to each other is as natural as sweet tea and fried okra baby! For the past 10+ years or more my favorite reason to get the CL is the legendary epicurean Cliff Bostock. He was a foodie before most of us were even born! Whether it's Waffle House or some foo foo restaurant where they serve you food the size of a half dollar and then have the nerve to charge you half a Benjamin for it. You can always depend on CB to give you the honest truth in a down to Earth no pretensions manner. BTW if you want to torment yourself check out the 100 dishes to eat article https://creativeloafing.com/content-270683 don't read this when you're hungry as I did..you'll hate yourself. Best the best thing about CL are the classified...funny as hell.....

There are some very talented writers at Creative Loafing, and my hat goes off to them for the remarkable job that they do on a weekly basis. Undoubtedly the best Newspaper that Atlanta has to offer. Not to mention, they are free. Which is nice because I would never pay for something that wastes millions of trees anyways. I can't wait until there is no such thing as a newspaper actually. Our generation no longer needs it, considering we are ushering in the digital information age. Get with the times you small minded journalists, and quit throwing that dumb Buyer Savings newspaper in my driveway that I repeatedly told you to stop giving me.

The magazine features celebrities on every issue but some of the women are not that famous. Most of them act on television shows I do not watch or are actresses I have never heard of before though placing J.Lo and Lady Gaga on the cover of recent issues was an improvement. The magazine has also been distributed at less places so I do not pick up a print copy that often. The content does focus mostly on local high society galas geared towards an older crowd. Since I don't attend any of those events and they mostly feature the same people in the pictures, I mostly appreciate the free events the magazine holds. After I wrote this review earlier I have to add an event that had slightly faded from my memory. I attended an Anniversary /Most Beautiful event that Jezebel holds yearly. Nowhere on the purchasing site did it state that VIPs and general admission would be segregated. When I arrived at the venue I was in for a surprise when I was told by a woman at check in that my ticket was general admission and not where the red carpet and photographers were. General admission was held in a back room while the "important" people were placed in the ballroom. I wanted to mingle with who the magazine editors deemed as the Most Beautiful Atlantans! In all honesty, I still like to read the magazine but I mostly skip over the advertisements.

Sorry, but I love this magazine. Love to read about the dinning hot spots. the photos. also love…read morethe fashion reviews. I really think this is a great magazine.
