    Scam... took my money and didn't want to return when the issue wasn't resolved. No wonder they…read moreprefer cash payment.... We were experiencing an issue with our fridge and called a-z appliance repair to come have a look at the issue. The gentleman who came barely did any assessment. Looked in the freezer, pulled the fridge out and removed a small panel at the back and that's it. (Literally he took maybe 10 minutes) He recommend we unplug it for 24 hours and plug it back in... He said if that didn't fix the issue to call them back. I asked if he would charge me a second service fee and he said no because he'd have to do further testing and likely replace something. We took his recommendation and unplugged for 24 hours... When we plugged it back in it worked for maybe 3-5 days before experiencing the same issue. So we unplugged a second time and same thing. At this point I called them back and was told by the gentleman who had been here to call the manufacturer. That they would be able to help.... ummmm I thought you were supposed help?? So basically they took my money and did absolutely nothing then refused to return and do any further diagnostics. I called another company who came out and actually looked for what could be the problem. The new company removed the wall of the fridge and did a true assessment testing out a few things that may have been contributing to the issue. Pretty annoyed that I had to pay a second service fee... I don't believe a-z appliance knew how to properly assess my fridge and that's why they didn't want to return, or they were just lazy and decided to take my cash and forget about it.

    This review is based solely on my interaction with localproappliancekitchener…read more What should of been a simple dryer installation by a professional. Turned out to be anything but. Prior to this LP (Local Pro) coming to our home, it was made clear the service we expected and wanted. A new dryer coil was to installed, as it was made clear there had been condensation issues with the old coil and with a new dryer coming we wanted the new coil. LP lifted the coil glanced inside and said it was fine. I said we wanted the new coil again was told it was fine. There was no diagnostic check done by LP after installation. Later that day when we went to use the dryer it gave off 90% blockage error. I reached out to LP and informed them of the issue. LP reply was as follows: Because it was a vent issue and not an installation issue. And proceeded to inform me of the cost to have him come back out. I mentioned to LP if the new coil was installed as we wanted this would of been avoided. Since we where already financially invested in this service we decided to have them come out again. Today I went down to do laundry I could feel a lot of heat coming from the dryer and blowing from the back. Come to find the coil was not connected properly to the dryer and was dangling. I reached out to LP and Informed them of the issue along with a video showing it was not connected. Yes LP offered to come out at no fee to correct. However at this point, I decided no more.

He was quick to figure out the issue with my dryer, and made sure my house wasn't going to blow up from a gas leak (which wasn't even the issue, yikes!). He was also very kind to answer all my annoying questions :D If I have issues in the future I wouldn't hesitate to book another repair. Thanks for a great experience, and fixing my dryer! I'll try not to leave "plastic" in my pockets ;p

We called Nimbly in February 2024 for a washing machine repair. Dennis Gallon, the owner arrived and after inspecting the washer, advised the cost of repair was not worth it due to the age and condition of the unit. This is understandable and not unexpected. Dennis offered to sell us a scratch-and-dent washer that was the exact same model, but a different colour. We were not concerned about colour, and it was a good option since it was supposedly the same unit - as we were stacking the appliances and were restricted by the space of the laundry closet. As we are conscious of our spending, scratch-and-dent options are a great fit for us. We purchased it on Feb 4 2024. After looking at the appliance, which had minor cosmetic damage, and again confirming with Dennis that it was the same unit, we agreed to purchase it. We borrowed a friend's truck and transported it home. However, it turns out it was not the same model, and would not fit in the laundry closet. After agreeing to take the return, Dennis stated again "I swear it was the same model" but then claimed that I had damaged it in transit. He had no "before" pictures of the unit's condition prior to me transporting it, and we took care of the appliance during transport. He advised he would return the cost of the washing machine less the part required for him to repair it. There was no admission that he sold me the wrong unit, no apology for the inconvenience caused to me by transporting the unit only to discover it could not be used at my home. Not only that, Dennis sent me an e-transfer with the incorrect amount and still owes me money. Since February 15th, I have sent 4 polite emails asking for an explanation of the amount e-transferred to me) without response. I have also called 4 times calls - 2 of which were answered by staff who took down my info and would return my call - Dennis was unavailable, and never called me back, even when I was told I would get a response by end of day by two different staff. Essentially Dennis lied to us about the unit he sold to us, and has now stolen the money that is owed to us.

    Service Samsung and LG Our Samsung suddenly started to make…read morea horrible racket. Called Nimbly on weekend and Dennis responded to message quickly. Advised us what the likely issue was and called back right away with quote on parts and service. They ordered parts on our email ok and 3 days latter scheduled appointment. Their Service Expert Sam came right before agreed time. What a gentleman - great personality. Completed repairs quickly and spent extra time helping us with some issues removing trays. As a result we found a problem with sign Ivan to amount of gross funky water accumulating below the meat tray above freezer. He also on request removed redundant sliding bars in the meat/cheese tray that were driving us nuts. Total bill was as quoted and very reasonable compared to past experience with appliance repair. Sam cleaned up everything and left us with smiles on our faces.
