I have been doing a lot of running lately so I decided that it would make sense to get a pair of running shoes. I came in and was warmly welcomed by one of the shoe salesperson. I explained my situation to her and after that, she took some measurements of my feet. They had a pretty cool device that outlined my foot. The shoe salesperson decided that based upon the flatness of my foot, I should get a shoe with extra support. After that, she brought out a variety of shoes in my size. They were all well known, high quality shoe brands like Asics, Mizuno, Saucony and Brooks. I was than able to try them on and run around their mini-track. They also had a treadmill, which you can run on instead. At the end, I went with a pair of Mizunos that were really comfortable with great support. They also sell bars, waffles and gummies here, which they said were good before runs. I also signed up for their rewards program, which gives you $25 discounts. I was excited to pick up a pair of shoes I had on hold. I walked in the establishment only to be looked at in the face and ignored-- TWICE. Granted, the associate was about to ring a customer up but for a small business that wasn't busy or crowded, a quick greeting is expected. This is one of the best running stores I've ever seen and I've been to quite a lot. The level of knowledge their staff has (not to mention running PB's) is amazing. They are super friendly and super helpful. Whether you're an elite marathoner or just a running looking to shed a few pounds you will find what you're looking for here and if you don't know what you're looking for these guys can help. They have an amazing selections of track (and field!!) spikes and racing flats along with apparel for any season along with training aides of all sorts. I ran all through college and still to this day and I have only ever bought my sneakers and spikes from there. Bob the owner is awesome and so is their store manager Jason. There staff is great, knowledgable and helpful. I have never waited to be helped there. Even if it is busy they still acknowledge you and make you feel welcome. This past weekend I had a great experience at Bryn Mawr Running Company. The staff was so helpful examined my stride to see what sneakers would be best for my feet. They gave me 3 to pick from which all three felt better then any shoe I have tried before. They put me in a stability shoe because my ankles roll in a bit. I picked a great pair of sneakers and felt great about my purchase. I will never go back to a department store to buy running shoes again. Great, great running store. I went as a beginner runner and got all the help I needed picking shoes. I was terrified that they would look down on me because, at a size 24, I definitely don't look like a runner. My experience could not have been any better - they treated me kindly and thoughtfully and were excited to get me started running. (On my way out, they said "Come back and let us know how it goes!") After I picked out my shoes, one of the people helping me suggested I check out the sale they were having on clothing. I asked if they carried plus sizes. They do - for men. Great place to go for running/walking/exercising sneakers! They really know their shoes and the mechanics of them, as well as the mechanics of your gait. The customer service and the personal attention you get buying a pair of sneakers is far above and beyond what you would get at the other "usual" retail sports sneaker stores. I bought my last pair of running sneakers here several years ago and I received the same great attention and expertise then also. That's what helped make my decision to go back here again for another pair of running shoes this time, as opposed to the other "usual" sports shoes stores, and I wasn't disappointed. I got the same personal, high quality attention and customer service that I got years ago. Plus the pair of sneakers I bought years ago held up really well. They clearly were a well made shoe. They really pay attention to your feet and and gait/stride to make sure you pick the best, most appropriate type of shoe to best suit and fit your feet. So it's nice to know that customer service and attention hasn't changed. I also never felt pressured by the salesperson to "lean" towards buying a particular shoe. Cost wasn't even mentioned to me when they presented the shoes. Our decision making process was totally based on fit, wear, style and comfort. I'm so happy I went here again to buy my sneakers, and I will continue to do so in the future for the rest of my running shoe needs. They look out for what's right for you rather than just trying to make a quick sale--and I've gotten really helpful advice. So I had mixed feelings before posting this but here goes. I went in to purchase an article of clothing one afternoon and approached the counter to pay (I wasn't greeted at all either). The cashier (blonde short hair) was just soooo engaged in talking to another customer that she didn't ask if I wanted to check out. They literally stood at the register staring straight ahead not even allowing me approach and pay! LOL. I even took out my wallet not wanting to "interrupt" her conversation and stood there for almost 10 MINUTES while they gabbed on about their kids races! Finally, I turned around and returned the piece back to the rack and left. The woman (manager??) was very rude and I will not be returning anytime soon. Bryn Mawr Running company, you all know better than this, please learn to be more courteous of your customers next time or you will start loosing more business and from the looks of your inventory you need it. read more

Best running store I have been to coast to coast and north and south of the U.S. Knowledgeable, accurate and eager to please all walks of life. Store layout is conducive to efficient and effective shopping and analysis. Jason was terrific and recommend working with him. He brought out four pairs of shoes and I loved each one AFTER he watched me walk. Each one was a little different than the other and the decision was tough to make and had to get two. Great socks, running attire, electronics and huge assortment of gels. They also give back in perpetuity $25 for every $500 purchased which is nice. I have to a lot of stores and the national chains and never walked out feeling like I was getting a noticeable different shoe. I couldn't find these online either and believe me want to try this caliber of shoe versus saving a couple bucks and not getting the bang for your buck on your runs.
