We were…read morelooking for a company to help us renovate our powder room and our kitchen and refinish the hardwood flooring in our entryway and dining room. We asked some friends and were recommended Ebersole. They were very responsive, and we quickly had a meeting set up. Through that discussion, the project that initially seemed overwhelming to us became manageable. It was a very collaborative process - we discussed all of our options, collaborated on ideas, and created a vision that matched what we were looking to achieve. We agreed to move forward with the project, and within just a few weeks, we were choosing all of the items that would be a part of our project. From the quartz countertops and farmhouse sink to flooring and tile backsplash, and much more, Ebersole was there to help us each step of the way. When construction started, we were impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of our installers. They went out of their way to minimize the inconvenience of a renovation, while working meticulously to ensure everything was installed seamlessly. Our project was finished faster than we expected, and we could not be happier with the results. They even went the extra mile with an unexpected plumbing issue. We now have a beautiful new kitchen, powder room, and hardwood flooring. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone else looking to have some work done in their home. When we are ready for our next project, we will be reaching out to Ebersole. Thank you to Jeff and the entire team at Ebersole!

Everyone that worked on the project (and I mean everyone) was helpful, informative, easy to talk to, and incredibly good at what they do. We couldn't be happier with how the bathrooms all turned out and will absolutely be working with Ebersole in the future if we ever need another bathroom or the kitchen redone and will be recommending them to any of our friends and family in the area that may be interested in that kind of work in the future. We were impressed with Leid's expertise when evaluating the work needed and they were cost competitive. After removing the old decking they showed us structural damage to the house due to a total lack of any water proofing with the previous deck. The repair cost was very reasonable and sorely needed. The new deck is quite nice and very well built. Leid's was a pleasure to work with and the quality was first rate. We would highly recommend them for any home construction project.

The finished product is great, exactly what I expected. This is not a complaint, merely an observation of their communication process. SH will not confirm an arrival time or offer a window when their team will show up. I knew this based on the FAQ's on their site but I still found it to be an inconvenience as we had some last minute, heavy appliances to move before their arrival and limited hands to do it. We didn't know if they were coming at 8am or 2pm. After talking with the installer on the first day, he offered to text me on day two with an estimated time of arrival which was super helpful and most appreciated. And, the text communication with the installer came in handy when one of the two left their personal items on my trashcan and needed to return to retrieve it. Overall, it was a good experience and I am happy to recommend them. But I do think that an additional layer of communication would be most helpful for the customer.

I was really hopeful I would hear from somebody. I guess I was right, business is just too good; they either don't have time or don't care to address repairs. I'm truly disappointed as I've recommended them on numerous occasions, handing out their business cards to several prospective customers.

We contracted with Focal Point Remodeling for a deck rebuild and bay window installation project…read moretotaling more than $37,000. Based on the sales presentation and representations made during the contracting process, we expected a professionally managed project with competent communication, reasonable scheduling, and workmanship consistent with the price point. Unfortunately, our experience fell significantly short of those expectations. The project became defined by extended delays, poor coordination, inadequate communication, safety concerns, and repeated failures in project management that caused substantial disruption to our household for nearly a year. During the sales process, we were assured that the deck portion of the project would be relatively straightforward and completed in approximately three days. Instead, the work extended to nearly 10 days, including periods where the project was effectively abandoned due to material shortages and apparent scheduling failures. At one point, work stopped entirely over a weekend because the necessary boards had not arrived, leaving our property in an unsafe and unfinished condition without proactive communication or meaningful resolution. Throughout the process, our family repeatedly dealt with hazardous jobsite conditions. Construction debris and exposed 4-inch nails were left throughout the yard over an extended weekend without proper cleanup. As a result, our children could not safely use the property, our dogs required extended boarding, and our chickens had to remain confined due to safety concerns caused by the condition of the worksite. The execution of the project also raised serious concerns regarding preparation and oversight. The installation crew arrived lacking basic equipment necessary to perform the work efficiently, including adequate ladders and proper electrical setup, resulting in repeated reliance on our personal property and utilities to continue the job. It became apparent early on that there was a disconnect between what had been sold and what the installation crew had actually been prepared to complete. Additionally, portions of non-pressure-treated wood were reportedly installed during the deck construction process and later required correction. We also observed visible workmanship concerns involving structural appearance, railing alignment, and finish quality that should not be present on a project of this scale and cost. Communication throughout the project was consistently inadequate. Emails and concerns directed to our assigned contact, Derrick, frequently went unanswered or unresolved despite repeated follow-up attempts. Requests regarding reimbursement for extended boarding costs and the prolonged disruption to our household were acknowledged but ultimately ignored without resolution or further discussion. The bay window installation process created additional concern when we were informed that installation would proceed despite forecasted rain conditions, raising reasonable concerns regarding exposure of the home during active construction. Perhaps most disappointing was the company's handling of escalation efforts. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to speak directly with ownership, we were eventually able to communicate with the owner regarding the extensive delays, ongoing stress, and overall handling of the project. When asked what resolution would be appropriate given the circumstances, we referenced the months of loan payments we had continued making during an excessively delayed and frustrating project timeline. The company's ultimate response was a $200 Visa gift card for our family, which did not reflect the seriousness or duration of the issues experienced. This experience ultimately became so stressful and discouraging that it materially changed how we felt about our home. What began as an investment intended to improve our property instead became a source of ongoing frustration significant enough that we ultimately made the decision to place our home on the market. Consumers considering major remodeling projects should carefully evaluate not only the sales presentation, but also the company's communication practices, project management structure, onsite preparedness, accountability, and responsiveness once a contract has been signed. In our experience, those areas represented the most significant failures throughout this project.
