We have a set of Samsung washer/dryers and the dryer has been deciding to break, one part a time…read more In 2023 these guys came out next day to diagnose our broken dryer. The motor fully went out and they were able to order the part quickly and install it quickly. Fast forward to now, the dryer stopped blowing hot air. It took about 3 business days to air dry a load of clothes. HVAC & Appliance Repair Guys were able to offer same day service, we ended up choosing two days later just bc of our own chaotic schedule. However we appreciate their ability to come out same day. After an embarrassing moment of cleaning our dusty laundry room which has become our *what the heck* room of things that don't belong in other rooms. Max diagnosed the issue quickly and replaced the part. Our heating element spring called it quits on us. He was in and out within 30-40 minutes. It's refreshing to have such quick service. Also, while communicating right here on Yelp messages, their replies were prompt. Always within an hour at the longest. Strongly recommend. It's always great to know we have a reliable appliance repair team to call, tho to no fault of their own, I hope we don't need to call them any time soon haha.

Highly recommend them.

In no time at all, he diagnosed and fixed the issue with our AC drain line and, on top of that, explained everything to me and showed me how to fix this same issue myself in the future. As if that wasn't enough, he pointed out (politely!) that we were using the wrong size furnace filter--and replacing them more often than needed. He told me what size we should be using, and why, and where to find them. I could not be happier with these guys, and will absolutely be using them again for any and all of our HVAC needs.

(In fact quite the opposite as they were very understanding and empathetic!) When we finally had someone over to service our system for the first time he was very punctual, informative, and courteous, honored our coupon, and did a great job! He answered all our many questions, was very detailed, and even followed up with an email suggesting a product we could install ourselves after discussing our request with the owner. He then went above and beyond but I don't want to be specific because I wouldn't want anyone to expect that level of service every single time - I certainly didn't expect it! (It was a great value as we had the HVAC/AC serviced and a new thermostat installed.)

Thomas showed up on time, was courteous, didn't leave a mess going up into our attic, and gave us good information about the condition of our system and what we might need to look into replacing at some point down the road. When that day comes, we will definitely be giving Elevate a call!

He was very honest about what their price would be compared to going through my warranty and what if he would do if he were in my situation. He said ge would not service it because it will only make it a couple of weeks. They charged me $89 anyways. I called and got a refund since they refused to service it. They serviced it up and said it's still has a lot of life left. Now 2026 Chris is texting me wanting to service it on a special of $49. Why? So they can refuse to service it again? They only want to replace units not service them. Here is a picture how they left it last summer. Refused to clean it too. It is still running strong.

I'm so glad that I found Sure Flame online because not only were they willing to come out to our rural home, but Elijah also spent over 4 hours troubleshooting, tweaking, and cleaning up the fireplace as he ruled out all of the least expensive repairs. While we did end up having to replace an expensive part, I trusted that it was actually necessary because he really did try everything else first! In addition, It's apparently part of a regular service call for them to clean up the fireplace, wipe down the glass, and even spray the interior with fresh heat-safe paint, so our fireplace even LOOKS almost new again! So excited to have a fireplace we'll get to enjoy as the temperatures drop at our new home and I'll definitely be using Sure Flame for their annual service check-up too!

The water heater was installed 2 1/2 years ago by Rivival Heating and the anode rod needed to be replaced because "Portland water is so hard and full of minerals". The original quote for labor alone (not covered under warranty) was $340 but we got the manager to bring it down to $250. Still, the water heater is only 2 1/2 years old and that was an expense we did not anticipate when we bought the water heater. The prior one was not broken but when we had Rivival replace our furnace, they strongly suggested replacing the water heater at the same time. The old one never produced brown water but after just two years, the new one did. Maybe the water heater wasn't as good as the previous one? Not sure... Forgot to add, my home warranty service said they could not reimburse me because this is a "warranty issue". And to be truthful, the furnace job was great! Just wish the water heater repair didn't cost me anything. Next year, when it is out of warranty, I'll be able to file for reimbursement from my home warranty provider.

I almost fell for this trick. But as he pressed me to make an appointment, he asked me what kind of a/c unit I have, which is an odd question for someone who has worked on our equipment previously. I then asked him directly, "Have I done business with you before?" No response. So I asked again. No response. It turns out, I have no record of doing business with Conrad Heating & Cooling, because we have never done business with this company! I told him I would not be scheduling anything with Conrad. This representative didn't even know what type of unit we have, confirming there was no prior relationship. The familiar tone of the initial text was a deliberate tactic to create a false sense of trust. And I find that very offensive! I'd encourage other homeowners, especially seniors who are frequently targeted by this kind of approach, to read unsolicited texts carefully. If a company implies they've worked with you before, ask specific questions before agreeing to anything. In this case, the deception became obvious very quickly.
