Such a cozy spot in the heart of town! Coffee, smoothies, baked goods, sweet and savory crepes. Staff makes you feel like you're a long lost friend they are excited to see. If you can't decide on a crepe, the Brussels crepe is a great way to go - Nutella on the inside, chocolate drizzle, powdered sugar, and fresh strawberries on top with whip cream. Love coming here whenever I'm in town, and when I'm not, following their Instagram adventures helps fill the void! read more

Wayyyyy over priced for the most basic breakfast. First time there today for Mother's Day weekend, stood in line for 5-10 minutes while there were several woman working not one took a few seconds to acknowledge my mother and I which seemed very rude. The food was very very generic crepe with eggs, 2 chicken bagels and in English muffin with sausage and 3 drinks... total was $71.00. Not impressed enough to pay that for the service or the food again. read more

First time, I ordered large vanilla chai. Very good! When I got my drink, I was pleasantly surprised to see design in my foam. It was a picture of a cat with the word love underneath. The cafe itself was warm & inviting. I sat on a long bench against the wall but sectioned with square tables to individualize separate tables. The baristas were attentive, smiling and willing to please. I felt special. Thank you Rae-Jay! Second time at Brussels, I ordered Asiago sandwich on a bagel Very delicious! read more

We tried this for the first time. It's a bit on the overpriced side. This isn't because of the food, the food is good loved the chipotle chicken was excellent as were the crepes. Where this lacks is the drinks are massively overpriced and weak. Out of 4 drinks, we had one decent drink. The chai teas were very milky and weak. And most drinks are $7-8 making it not worth it. Come for the food, go elsewhere for speciality drinks! read more

Crepes were overdone, coffee was burnt and everything was overpriced. I don't recommend eating here. There's far better coffee for half the price and made with better beans. read more

My boyfriend and I tried this cute spot in downtown Chambersburg and it did not disappoint. They have picturesque waffles, crepes, smoothies and more. The employees were very kind and I loved that they had a lot of latte flavors like a true coffee spot. I had the breakfast crepe which I found to be pretty good. It did lack salt and pepper so I added that to it. My boyfriend thought the Brussels crepe was good all around. My two complaints would be that I found the crepes to be too thick and a bit chewy. Lastly, I found the price to be hefty for crepes. Even so, this is expected for a unique local business. They also prepared our food fresh which is always great. All in all, I would return! read more

It genuinely hurts my heart to have to say that this was genuinely the worst espresso I have drank. 1. It was served in a paper cup with a lid when I ordered it FOR HERE (they did have glass espresso cups behind bar area). 2. Good thing I took the lid off..ZERO crema. 3. It was very over extracted, and the beans had to be old or ground wrong..so bitter, very thick mouth feeling, grounds on the bottom of the cup when I took a sip, it was just bad. We threw both shots away after only taking a sip. Also threw out the light roast coffee. ‍ And there was a Nutella almond milk iced latte we got too..they only have one size and it's huge..like why so huge? It was not actually Nutella, it was a syrup. I also think the Fuck Putin sign is a bit distasteful when children also go there. I mean I agree with you...but you're a business. The inside didn't really have a comfortable feel..loud and very echoey. No gender neutral bathrooms, but seemed to be LGBT friendly as far as I could tell. The self order option and the pay it forward area I loved. The mother's day cupcake and the macaron was good..I'd give them a try for sure. They have crepes and other food items as well. The food seems to have all the good reviews about this place which I didn't take notice to until after the fact. I review..i should know better! Moral of the story the food seems to be good..but the coffee is not! For more in depth reviews check it out. https://peripateticcoffeeco.com read more

I took my family to this cafe on our way through town. The food was delicious and the servers were very nice. They have crepes, waffles and savory sandwiches, perfect for any kind of breakfast goer. The kids loved the sweet crepes and my husband had a beautifully presented lox bagel. The cafe itself is cute. It has a modern industrial feel. There's not a massive amount of seating, but it seems to be the perfect amount for the customers who want to have a sit down meal. We had no trouble finding a table for our family of 4. read more

Family-owned business run by some incredibly genuine and honest folks who have a bold sense of humor and aren't afraid to take risks. While this isn't the only place to get a nice cup of joe and find table space in Chambersburg, it is the only one that has a specific theme and boasts distinctive decorations: there is a much stronger sense of place here than the local competitors, either independent ones or those of a corporate/chain nature. It also has a couch, which is a plus for any coffee shop. While I usually just get a simple black or iced coffee while I'm in town, the owners often have creative and seasonal specials on offer for anyone who wants to try something more flavorful and unique. Strongly suggest dropping by here at a time close to a holiday: the staff get incredibly creative with decorations. Sometimes this is a quiet place to sit down and read the news on your laptop, and sometimes there is a series of pop music videos playing on the TVs above the front door: it depends. There is also an arcade game near the back (Pac-Man, I think, but my memory might fail me on this one) if you need something to entertain yourself here. There are only a few minor downsides: One is that this place can get astonishingly packed for a local, small-town coffee shop when there is any kind of local event going on nearby. This is, of course, wonderful for business at this coffee shop, but can be ever so slightly inconvenient to an individual customer. Also, the hours are unfortunately limited on some days, but that's understandable: the staff at this place need a break for all the wonderful hard work they do. read more

Owner is super friendly and the food is simple but so well prepared and just great. Very unique fare that cannot be found anywhere near Chambersburg but would also be difficult to replicate in larger metro areas. The owner brings unique European style food to this wonderful little cafe. Absolute must for brunch or a coffee talk with friends. read more

2 Stars = "Meh. I've experienced better." Per Yelp I did NOT order a crepe - I repeat, I did NOT order a crepe. I may or may not be back to try it, but in reading the reviews, I guess the crepes here are amazing. I missed out. I came here for the hot chocolate. The Hot Chocolate I kept reading about. The Hot Chocolate that won for the best hot cocoa in downtown Chambersburg. Well, when I ordered the "Hot Chooclate" what I got was Hot Milk. It wasn't even hot actually, it was lukewarm. A lukewarm cup of milk. No need for cup warmers. I'm assuming there wasn't any other competition during that hot cocoa contest and that's how the hot cocoa here won... I looked at my pale liquid and wondered, "Where's the Chocolate?!" My friend finished his "hot chocolate" before me and we found where the chocolate was hiding. At the bottom of the cup, clumped together, unmelted. I decided to pour my remaining milk in his cup and I found my chocolate! Even more thicker and clumped at the bottom of my cup. I shared my findings with the server who apologized and gave us new cups of hot chocolate. There was a MINOR difference. It was no longer Lukewarm Milk, but rather Warmed Milk with a hint of Cocoa. Long story short - IF you are a chocoholic and enjoy the sweet nectar of the cacao bean - DO NOT ORDER THE HOT CHOCOLATE HERE. Save yourself the money and disappointment. I paid a total of $8 and change for my lukewarm milk with clumped chocolate at the bottom. Definitely overpriced. The "hot chocolate" was not worth it. Personally, I enjoy hot chocolate to be almost like melted chocolate with the cream (milk) assisting with the silky texture. I like more chocolate than milk. I want to taste chocolate when I sip into a cup of hot cocoa. Mexican Hot chocolate is my favorite. If you don't know about it - you're missing out. The ambience is great and the workers were fantastic. Very friendly. read more

The environment is always so cheerful and your greeted when you go in and acknowledged when you are departing. The food is so tasteful and good and comes out quickly. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The owner is so personable and makes my daughter feel extra special- the last time he gave her a heart cookie which was extremely appreciated by both her and I. Definitely check it out if you haven't been here yet and if you go well I am sure you will continue to bless this small business . This is a small business but has big heart! read more

Starting out the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Asking for cream in our coffee seemed to be annoying. I've been to Belgium and Brussels itself multiple times. It's one of my favorite countries in the world, actually. The country itself has a strange and somewhat short history, with an even more interesting dichotomy of culture and language essentially splitting the country into two distinct regions. Now that the history lesson is out of the way, let's talk about what makes Belgium so amazing. Let's see, um, they make the best beer in the world, they make the best chocolate in the world, they make the best waffles in the world... The trouble is deciding what's better, a nice Cantillon sour or Westvleteren XII quadrupel? A Liege waffle or a Brussel's waffle? Unfortunately you won't get the answer to those questions unless you go to Belgium so let's focus on the cafe here in Chambersburg. The owner is from Belgium, just outside of Brussels and he is a wonderful person. Super welcoming and I noticed he asked nearly every guest how everything was while busting his butt behind the counter on the busy Saturday morning I went there. I ended up going with a salted caramel latte which was perfect because it was more of the European style of making coffee, aka not overly sweet which I loved. And I also got the Brussel's waffle which took me back to the small cafes in Belgium selling waffles for a euro a piece. Light, fluffy and a little crispy is what an authentic Brussels waffles should be like, and this delivers! You'll have to go elsewhere to find a Liege waffle since I don't think he makes that style here but that's not a slight, since it's incredibly time consuming and I found most cafes usually make one or the other and not both. That's fair, do what you do best and stick with that. Now stop reading this and get on over to the cafe. It's amazing! Cheers! read more

Cute spot with a chill vibe. Girls at the counter on a Sunday morning were friendly and attentive. Coffee and non coffee drinks were enjoyed by all. Menu looks enticing but execution on the food was really a bummer. Someone needs to take this crew back to crepe school -- these were some of the thickest, rubberiest, least crispy crepes we've ever had. Super disappointing for a place featuring crepes. The bagel in my bagel and lox was also just junk. Would expect better from the grocery store. And our daughter's croissant was stale -- when we exchanged it for another, the second one was just like the first. So other than the food, this is a decent coffee hang out spot. read more

Belgian waffle? Yes, please. None of that flat waffle from the waffle chain folks. This is some quality waffle goodness going on here. Weekday morning, I was the only one in the place and that gave me a good opportunity to make a decent choice. Waffle with Nutella and strawberries. I asked him to hold the powdered sugar and the whipped cream as I was looking for "more of a breakfast and less of a dessert." What came to me a few minutes later was still sweet but not terribly so. Perfectly toasted golden waffle and the Nutella had warmed up a bit and gone melty. Yum. The latte I had with it was very good. Rich coffee and pretty latte art on top. Well worth it here at the Brussel's Cafe. Yep, the apostrophe is in the name. read more

We went here for the first time yesterday. First of all, it's amazing that Chambersburg has such a specialized eatery. A Belgian cafe in south central PA? Who knew! I had a sweet crepe with Nutella & topped with whipped cream & strawberries. Very tasty! My husband had the breakfast crepe that included ham & bacon & a sunny-side-up fried egg. Tasty as well! We also both had smoothies, which were excellent. My only regret is that the menu is limited. Next time, I think we'll try the Belgian waffles, which is the other main menu item besides crepes. read more

Came here for a quick breakfast before I had to head to a jobsite. As there aren't many options in Chambersburg when compared the San Francisco, this place is decent. The crepe batter is a bit thicker than other crepes I've eaten and the ham was pretty salty for me. The coffee tasted like your regular cup of joe. Another place we tried during our visit to Chambersburg was Brussel's Cafe. The first thing my cousin tells me is: "It's way too overpriced for what it is." Nonetheless, it was hot, and we were thirsty, so we popped in for a little breather from the heat. We got the Frozen Nutella Mocha and one of their crepes with strawberries. First off, the mocha tasted nothing like Nutella. It was very watery, almost as though the barista forgot that essential sweet, hazelnut goodness the drink is named after. Very disappointed and didn't even get to finish my drink. Now the crepe was very, very good. Very similar to the homemade ones we make, and pretty dang good. For the portions, and the time amount of it took to devour it, the price is a little higher. Not a place I'd wholeheartedly recommend, but the crepe was the reason for 3 stars. read more

Amazing people working here and just as good of coffee. Even great for coffee snobs :)

Crepes and waffles from Brussel's are certainly unmatched around Chambersburg. I have had a Nutella & berries crepe (the "Brussel's Crepe", a breakfast crepe, and one of the savory specials. They are consistently delicious, and it was quite fun to watch them being created right before serving in the cafe. The Belgian waffles are traditional and incredible. The coffee (I had a hot americano) wasn't anything exceptional as compared to the food options, however it was still enjoyable alongside. The staff and owner are extremely accommodating and welcoming. A final note, the coffee/espresso macaron is quite possibly the single best purchase I have ever made at this location. This is probably my favorite local spot in Chambersburg. The crêpes are absolutely phenomenal! The atmosphere is very chill, the coffee is perfect, and the assortment of made from scratch items in the bakery case are just a few highlights... Try "The Breakfast One" if you want a savory crêpe (my favorite!) or a nice, sweet Nutella Chantilly crêpe. Try dining in the adjacent alley, the atmosphere out there is truly a gem in our town. Definitely say hi to Alex (the owner) too! He is such a friendly and kind person... he's absolutely wonderful! PS. Don't miss the macarons! read more
